Like the previous review, I also had a mortifying experience at Rite Aid. 7.24.24 1:15 PM I had a Paxlovid script (Covid anti-viral) called in by my doctor who told me I didn't need to isolate, but wear a mask. I, masked in N95 - no cough, went to pick up the script and the woman behind the desk asked my info, saw what I was there for and freaked out on me: "YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE! IF I GET COVID, I COULD DIE!" I responded with "WELL I HAD CANCER!" She wouldn't help me so I went to the front desk to pay for my items. I asked for a manager, and none were there. A customer who witnessed this unprofessional behavior followed me to the front and said she was so sorry that happened to me and saw how poorly I was treated. The employee told me "they didn't have that (Paxlovid) here." I then checked the website and it says Rite Aid carries it. I call the pharmacy and wait 36 minutes on hold to talk to a Pharmacist, who was very nice. Turns out Rite Aid's supplier hasn't sent them Paxlovid so she said I can have another pharmacy transfer the script. Helpful! I called Safeway and they picked up the phone immediately. Have Paxlovid in stock, no problem. They fax over a request at 2:45pm. My husband went to pick up after 5 pm and Rite Aid, hadn't yet sent over the script. Called again, no wait time, and took care of it. Safeway, Freddy's, and Walmart all have the drug in stock and won't treat you like a leper. I posted online in the Newport FB group about this horrible experience and this employee has a long history of treating people poorly and has been reported multiple times. Why is she still employed? Why is someone who can die of Covid working behind the desk AT A PHARMACY?I Also, a suggestion: if you don't want sick people coming into a store that's called a PHARMACY, put a big sign out front directing customers to drive-thru! Tell them you don't carry the drug. Have masks available and hand sanitizer at the door! Also, call people who have the drug called in and tell them you don't have it and then they don't come for it. Problems all solved and no customer will be treated with disrespect - against Rite Aid's Code of Ethics and poor business! read more

The pharmacy staff at this store is unquestionably the rudest and most unprofessional I've ever experienced. They blamed me for their mistake and refused to accommodate me. I'll never got to this store or pharmacy again. Take your prescriptions and hard earned money somewhere else. read more

Always quick, clean, and friendly. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Employees look happy to be there and everything is well stocked.

In our quest to find more Christmas lights for the next year, we learn that, that is one of the first things to go when there is an after Christmas sale. We found some ornaments that we thought would be nice for next year and made our way to the check out. It's a small town on a Monday and they had to call another checker. There weren't that many of us but I was pleased that they had the staffing for that. A good place for all the sundry stuff you need and I noticed a large cooler in the back with various types of beer chilling and available for purchase. A little of everything but for trendier, organic types of products go to Fred Meyer as they have a fine selection. I'll be back, when in the area. read more

Remodeled and new! Eveything is bright and shiny. Has an incredible waiting room for the pharmacy! Has things like milk, eggs, butter, etc., that are located conveniently in little coolers at the end of isles so you don't have to go a big busy supermarket for just 1 or 2 things. Everytime I have been it's been empty, so no struggling with parking or waiting in line. Prices are comparable to everywhere else. Has so much different stuff in there that you can't get anywhere else right now, and possibly all year long, like giant beach umbrellas, haha. read more

Unfortunately I got an infected foot while on vacation by Newport, OR.. A doctor prescribed antibiotics so I chose to use Rite Aid. This store was huge compared to the one I use to use in Reno, NV.. The store was very clean, well staffed, stocked, and the pharmacy was great. It was in a mall with good shopping for those who are on vacation and I am sure the locals already know. read more

I love my Rite Aid store and pharmacy. Good, fast, friendly and professional service. I have been a customer for several years having transferred my prescriptions from another pharmacy to this one. So happy I did. The new remodel is beautiful and well-organized. Not crowded with hordes of people and just a feeling of going back in time and revisiting what a REAL drugstore should look like and be like and not having to stand in long lines forever. Great hours, too, and easy upfront parking. I hope nothing changes. :) read more

Affordable, efficient, friendly pharmacy. After trying the pharmacies of Fred Meyer, Walmart, Walgreens, and Bimart, Rite Aid pharmacy has been consistently the most affordable and the most efficient. The staff is always friendly, and the wait in line is always short. I highly recommend them! read more
