I did find a cute journal that I know my friend would love but when I picked it up it had some kind of liquid on the bottom which was gross. Parking is usually pretty rough at this strip mall but they do have a back lot as well and usually a bit more luck taking that route. One of the cashiers here was taking her sweet time ringing up a customer and the vibe was very weird with her mean mugging everyone. At one point another staff member was walking up and asked her "why are you looking at me like that". So yeah, there's that.

For sure feel like it's catered to the older crowd. We parked at Von Maur to cut through to the mall. A few things did catch my eye while passing so we ended up looking around a bit. I did find an item to purchase and walked a bit to find a pay station. When I walked up a customer and the cashier were deep into conversation about vacation and even with me waiting they carried on for 5 or so minutes after the fact. I ended up sitting in the chairs nearby to wait. I can say when they finally wrapped their conversation the cashier wasn't as friendly which made me think maybe I shouldn't purchase from them. There was no "thank you for your patience or waiting", "did you find everything okay" or anything. Overall the store is pretty neat and organized. Not a ton of staff around but also never seen a lot of people shopping either. Items seem to be good quality.

I love how everything is color coded and wish more stores would organize like this. Every employee I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I did notice that they were diligently interactive with me after I picked up a $100 blouse- as they should be on a busy Saturday! But I really appreciated the small talk and direction from Randie, who gave me the brief on where to find everything, and the brief on the sister store Nextdoor. This store is a bit out of my way, but now knowing what they carry I definitely see myself returning here when I am feeling like I want to treat myself. As I am someone who prides in ensuring clothes don't go to landfill and trying to reuse or recycle as much as I can (I shop thrift a lot) I was very pleased to see that they take overflow items from designers. My only bummers were when I got home, the nice gentleman at the register unfortunately left one of the security tags on a sweater, leaving me to figure out how to break it off. It happens, but gosh dang! And then the same sweater had a bit of a small but obvious stain on it. And while I know it's already deeply discounted, it wasn't in the clearance section. So when I asked if they might consider anything additional on the top, he kindly explained how the store handles stuff like this and that basically there is a waiting period of it doesn't sell. Upon entering the store, I noticed many many items that I had wanted from the previous season on the shelves. Not only that, they were discounted VERY steeply. I got a couple of vests for around $40 each, and also got a jacket that was made for a special event as a "Thank You" give-away to the people who put on the event. I was told only 15 were ever made, and I got one of them. I have seen similar items from Filson go for $300-$500 and I paid $80. I was truly like a kid in a candy store. This is not a typical outlet store with odd-ball items, and strange colors. Sure there is some of that, but much of what this store is selling is still very much in, and is the same quality as any other Filson Product. They do not make discount clothing, this store is mostly closeouts and a handful of factory seconds. The only downside is that they did not have hardly any bags, and the bags that they did have were not nearly as significantly discounted as the clothing. This doesn't come as a surprise to me because they are known for their bags. The salesperson sold me that sometimes it's the other way around, they have tons of bags and very few clothes. The sale people were also very nice and helpful. If you are a Filson fan, you will not be disappointed!!
