The Walgreens on the corner of Bourbon! My friends and I rented a VRBO about a block away from this Walgreens so the location was very convenient. We stopped in a couple times to get water and other snacks. Even though there was normally a line, it moved really quickly, which is what we needed. The employees were fast and friendly as well. Of course in my rush to pack to come on my trip I forgot some items. And of course Walgreens would have hardly anything I needed. But it was worth a shot to stop in here to have a look around. I find it funny that there is another Walgreens a block away on the other side of the street, but this review is for the one at this location. From the outside it looks unwelcoming. Not sure what their intent was when they decided to have their big windows blocked by a pure white wall. Going in, it looked very disorganized and lots of items were out of place. That is when there was any of the product on the shelves. After noticing that I was not going to get my items I needed I proceeded to see if they had any bottled water and snacks. Both of those items were low in items. Needless to say I ended up walking out of here without anything I needed, or wanted. read more

Conveniently located near my hotel, on Canal, and Bourbon Street so I could stock up on Pedialite and Evian before hitting the bars at night. Don't expect big, friendly smiles from the folks who work there -- they're tired and SO over serving the mostly drunken public, I guess. But you can find a wide variety of supplies, despite the size. I found hair products, hang-over remedies, and a few office-supply items I needed. One stop shop. You'll pay for the convenience (this place ain't cheap!), but you won't run into as many vagrants here as you will at the other pharmacies across the street. read more

Tried to return something and was told I can't because the store is "express" and since they did not carry the item the store would not accept the item. The cashier was rude and got excessively loud and "called a manager". No one came and the other two cashier in a nicer time said the same thing. I showed the cashier the return policy that said I can bring any item to any nation wide Walgreens for up to 30 days. It seems that none of the employees know their own return policy and did not want to hassle of dealing with a return. The first cashier I dealt with wasted 10 minutes going to the register and back to the aisle twice just to say "we can't return it" then got on the phone. When I called her rude she got loud telling me not to talk to her and when the other two cashiers asked to help the first cashier said "you going to make me" repeatedly. I had to leave and when I went to another Walgreens I was told that any Walgreens can take the item and the second store I went to didn't carry the product but had no problem taking it as it comes up in the nationwide system. read more

This location is the busiest I've seen. Shelves are empty and everything else that is not empty is locked up. I understand why working in retail, myself. The Weed Van is Parked out front for those who want to participate due to the high volume of traffic in and out of the Walgreens. Walgreens should work to get this moved. This is a very well-located pharmacy right off Canal Street just on the edge of the French Quarter, but it's not particularly well-stocked and prices seemed high. We ended up browsing a bit, found everything too pricey for our liking, and walked across the street to the CVS to pick up what we needed instead. read more

Well this Walgreens is THE PLACE for you! During my stay here in New Orleans, I had to make an emergency trip to any drug store that had contacts solution. Luckily, this Walgreens saved my life. This is just your average city Walgreens shop that has everything you really need. The great thing about this Walgreens is that it's located right on the corner of Canal and Bourbon. And so if you are going to the French Quarter or if you are coming back to the downtown area, this is a great stop. It's honestly like the "last" stop before the party begins. It's a definite must, especially if you are staying on Canal Street. Another plus about this Walgreens is that it's also open until midnight. I give this Walgreens a go because it saved my life here! Update ...tried to get into this store today . Aside from the whole side of the store being lined up with homeless people there was A panhandler in a wheel chair and a young guy facing the front of the door . .walked around the guy when he started swearing at me . As I turned to leave to go back home...the young guy threw something at me . I WILL NOT BE BACK ! What the hell is the matter with management ? No security what so ever .... read more

Shelves were pretty empty, we stopped here for some meds and drinks to take back to the hotel. We had to ask for a few items that were empty on the shelves. The employees were friendly but looked like they were defeated. I know this location is busy and keeps them moving so I can't hold it against them. Store was extremely dirty and had several people hanging out at the front door (inside) asking for money. It is convenient to the hotel though. read more

LOVE this Walgreens only because of an amazing queen you guys have working up in their!!! I was visiting New Orleans and staying around the corner at the Ritz and went in to get a few essentials (Tequila, Candy and Chips). Their was a young lady working the register who was so incredibly helpful, sweet, and welcoming. She is the Best walgreens employee I have ever encountered. I wish I remembered her name :( all I remember is that she had the most amazing eye shadow which I complimented and she let me know she had just purchased it from a makeup company I believe was called color pop or candy pop. Shelves were empty. The clerks were just plain rude. Came to pick up some necessities after we landed, got yelled at once by the clerks and told "not to stand over peoples shoulders," we were just waiting in line. Then yelled at again to get inline, which we were, behind a tape mark apparently, and then then would acknowledge you only when called upon. Go f$*k yourselves! Put all that crap back on your own. 15-20 people in walgreens, one register open. At least two others in back and a fourth folding shirts. The girl on the register was great.

Clerk took a $20.00 from me and then said it was a $10.00. Pulled out a cash drawer stating she had no $20.00 in the till, I feel like she was a con and a lier. I don't advise going to that store. read more
