This is the absolute worst Pharmacy I have ever been to in my life. Every prescription I have an issue with and I'm constantly doing their job to make sure my prescriptions get filled correctly. I was told an hour. I waited an extra 15 minutes and now I am going on two hours still waiting for the prescription. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst pharmacy ever. Rude staff no customer service skills whatsoever. They lie about not getting the prescription from the doctor. When you call the pharmacy it takes forever for them to answer the phone. When they finally do answer, they immediately place you on hold and keep putting the call on hold without an explanation. I was on hold for 56 minutes and then they just hung up. The drive thru and the lines inside are always long. It's like the pharmacy staff just doesn't care. They all seem to hate their jobs. I've never seen anyone smile at a customer ever. It's a shame. I am stuck using Walgreens because of my insurance, I would never recommend this pharmacy to anyone ever. read more

have been going to the Walgreens on McHenry since they first opened, about 30 years ago. They used to be the best pharmacy in town, until about 16-17 years ago. They got too big I guess. Mistakes with prescriptions! A serious no no!!! Told me this morning my doc cancelled my prescription, which I had been out of for almost a week. Nope, it was their mistake, just like repeated notifications to refill already filled prescriptions, double entering refills, rx not ready even though text and an email says it is, meds dropped from their list, rude employees who hate their job. That's the 4th time I come to this pharmacy and leave without out my pills the First time I came on new years Eve after wasting my lunch break waiting in line when it was my turn they told me my pills wouldn't be ready and when I asked how long they said 30 min when I already wasted my lunch break even tho I called to request the refill 2 days before and they told me it will be ready the next day after 10 am and I was there at 4Pm,today I went after work because it says they close at 9 when I Went at 6 they were already closed this is worst pharmacy ever they don't care and they are so rude and lazy no wonder why they have so many bad reviews. read more

Although this store's pharmacy is always busy and understaffed, the staff are friendly, helpful and very hard working. If I need a shot I go here because the pharmacists are fast and skilled. COVID-19 phase: The store was clean and organized! Workers were masked and very nice! They had sales everywhere! They have a great rewards program! I want to be fair so waited twenty four hours to post this review. The management is consistently rude. No customer service. I've traded well over twenty five years at this store and paid my last visit. Totally uncomfortable shopping at this unhelpful rude atmosphere. The manager apparently has a chip on shoulder. Any coupon is now online. It's posted in tiny print. I'm willing to drive to get a better attitude. The drive through pharmacy is very good and efficient so I will continue my purchases there. read more

Had a return for Sephora. They said to come here. Guy behind FedEx counter was rude. He said they didn't print return pages. Then I showed him a code Sephora sent me. He rudely said they didn't scan codes either. It was a complete waste of time coming here . I had to wait at the counter for over 5 minutes . Lady at the photo center is very rude. Went to pick up a poster board my daughter ordered through my account. She asked my name which I told her and she could not find it so she searched my phone number. Nothing. I tried to show her the order number I had because my daughter put the order in. She tells me the order number does nothing for her. A minute later she finds my order where she already looked and doesn't even apologize and funny enough the order number is right on the envelope she handed to me. No apology she hands it to me and tells me to be billed out up front. I understand people have bad days but this was just flat out condescending. read more

Received my second dose vaccine today. Took extra half hour past my appt time to Eve check in let alone more time to actually get it. Very unorganized and do not honor appointments over walk ins. Husband went in tonight after work for his second dose. They "ran out" and didn't have one to give him. They told him there were a lot more walkins and they ran out early. Well, seems to me that if you have appointments for them you should be saving doses for your actual appointments. they actually told him that if he calls ahead they'll save him one. Like really he has an appointment what more does he need to do to ensure he gets his? The kicker of this is is that he had to travel to get there to get it and they couldn't even call to stay they didn't have one to give him. That's pretty crappy that you can't even call your appointments to tell them you're out because of your inability to keep enough on hand for your appointments. Thanks for wasting our time both mine in the morning and not having one for him this evening. Won't be shopping here at all again. read more

This place has the WORST customer service I've seen in any pharmacy store ever .. the manager and leads are rude as hell and have ZERO PROFESSIONALISM ! the workers will gossip about you while in the next aisle cause they have nothing better to do since they clearly don't do their jobs . It ALWAYS smells in there and They never seem to re stock their items like other stores . Worst Walgreens in this district that's fersure ! I noticed that the average for this location is 1.5 stars. Well deserved. Today I attempted to use the drive-through, and as so many times before the wait time was ridiculous. Apparently, the elimination of the second kiosk for sending scripts and payment back and forth isn't working out so well. For years I have been pretty loyal to Walgreens compared to their main competitors especially CVS (knowing the piss-poor compensation and general treatment of employees there.). But the Walgreens corporation has sunk to a new low of greed with paying crapola to their pharmacy staff. So they tell me they're out of stock on a second prescription after I wait for 40 mins in their drive-thru. Actually I almost forgot the staff person told me none of my prescriptions could be filled. I had to get laser precise for her to provide rudimentary customer disservice and prior correction to one of your prescriptions was ready. They lied about not receiving the electronic order from my doctor for one of three medications. I was also told nothing would be available for 30'. Feels like I was in Russia trying to get my prescriptions. Abysmal and I recommend Good RX as while my time was being drained away that I'll never get back, adding insult to injury, their prices are higher than most other providers. Truly pathetic, seems they need to go through a BK re-org like Rite Aid. Oh one final point to make you feel like you're truly getting North Korean hospitality as the pharmacy is too inconsiderate to set up text notifications/check-in and/or old fashioned "take a number" tickets inside the store; so if you're someone that has a disability and can't stand (not that you should be made to stand regardless,) your screwed as if you sit down you'll be out of line. The whole system is designed to NOT balance rapacious profits against patient care and service. read more

Absolutely the WORST pharmacy in Modesto. Years ago tried to use them for prescriptions. Wife and I (being Senior Citizens) have a few. Every time the script had not been started when we arrived, even after having been called in 3 hours prior. Same with refills. I was told they didn't fill them until you showed up to make sure you were coming to get it. Tried their "mail order" service. Equally as bad. Made an appointment for today to get a Covid test for my wife. Arrived. Waited in drive thru 20 minutes (1 car in front of us). Got up there and was told they did not have her appointment. After 4 different people came and tried to explain why, since we were here, they just couldn't just give the test, they absolutely refused. Will NEVER go near there (or any other Walgreens) for the rest of my days, and will tell everyone I know to avoid them like the plague. read more

Second, If what you're seeking is hassle-free scripts, I wouldn't recommend Walgreen's, especially, DO NOT USE this location on Oakdale road in Modesto. This store is inept and completely incompetent, they can't do the simple task of refilling prescriptions. After having to call the pharmacy seven times in 12 months to correct their mistakes, I finally brought it to their attention. They began to make my life miserable; medications coming off of Auto refill and not getting ordered, completely forgetting to order a few of my monthly medicines, etc... They had no explanation. This is my second and last time coming to this pharmacy. It's close to my house so I figured I would give it one more shot. Big Mistake. Be prepared to wait AT LEAST 45 minutes. 25 minutes just waiting in line and 20 minutes waiting for your prescription, if you are lucky. If you're just picking up a prescription, you will still need to wait a while since it's all one line. You'll start seeing people in front of you leave because they are tired of waiting but you know, that'll just bring you a bit closer to the register! Silver lining, people. As I'm sitting here trying to not get even more irritated, I'm listening to other customers' experiences. One lady called in and was told her prescription would be ready in half an hour. I have been so impressed with the pharmacy staff. They consistently have taken care of our family's needs. From reaching out to the doctor to help get a suspension version of a prescription for a child who cannot take pills to helping get emergency authorization to change to a prescription not on my formulary. The pharmacist Natasha is exceptional. As someone who has two pharmacist in the family I set the bar very high for service and professionalism and she exceeds it. During Covid the pharmacy has been exceptionally busy yet the staff remain very friendly. read more

Hands down one of the best customer service experienced I've ever had in a grocery/drug store environment. Plenty of staff working around in the store and they each made a point to ask if the could help in any way. No averted eyes here ;) Emilee was a kind and helpful employee walking me thru aisles to assist me with my questions and list of items needed. Went to the Pharmacy to get my Freetyle blood monitor. I could only get it to work 2, out of the 15 times I tried to use it. I brought it back to the Pharmacy and told them I had a Freetyle blood monitor that was defective. The Pharmacist said I was probably using it wrong, and began to show me how it use it. He had NO idea how to use it, I had to show him. I explained it was defective, he then told me I should call the manufacture, and see if I could get it replaced. I explained that I just bought it... They would NOT exchange it for me. I left it on the counter, and went to CVS down the street and bought another one... It works just fine 100% of the time. I will never go back there! read more

I am having to switch my mother prescriptions to another pharmacy. I have had people say they don't have a problem with Walgreens but they go to a different one. The pharmacy on Oakdale and Scenic in Modesto is ridiculous. I have never seen people in customer service argue with clients like this place does. The problem is it is every single time I need a refill or every time a prescription is sent to them. It's either they never got it from the doctors office or we didn't get your order that you called in. Example last week I called in a prescription refill. The auto system told me it would be ready the following day at 11:00 am. When I went to pick it up the pharmacist said that the insurance wouldn't cover it until Thursday so come back then to pick it up as it was a little too early. It sent me a text letting me know it was ready on Thursday. I had my friend go pick it up for me and they told me they never had the prescription. They never saw it and that it never texted me. Hmmmm so it showing on my phone as being ready for pick up must be my lying? Another time the doctors sent over an electronic prescription. Something was done incorrectly on the doctors end so when I went to pick it up the girl asked me to call the doctor and re request as something was incorrect on it. I did and I followed back up with Walgreens and she told me it would be ready by the next day. Next day comes and magically the prescription disappeared out of their system. I said I spoke to someone about it. They had no record of any of it and said it must of got deleted out of their system. I told the pharmacist I can't believe how incompetent this pharmacy is. Short handedness is no excuse for the mistakes that they continually make. Honestly, when it is done correctly which is minimal, I am completely shocked. I also had a time when I spoke to a male pharmacist and he told me he was refusing to give me 2 different controlled substances. In his opinion it was unsafe. I have cancer in my bones and have extreme pain and have for many many years. I have just recently bumped up the amount of pain meds from what I was using in the past. He told me the doctor didn't know what he was doing and he knows more than the doctor. So I asked him if was policy that they only prescribe one controlled substance and he said no sometimes they do. Then later said no they don't. I asked for the manager. Spoke to him and he said it was policy only one controlled substance and come to find out from some other cancer patients I know that is untrue as they were getting more than one from Walgreens. This pharmacist also was completely argumentative. Didn't listen to a thing I had to say. I ended up switching to another pharmacy. Unfortunately, my pharmacy is a small one and doesn't take my mothers health care plan. I will however be switching her to another Walgreens as everyone I have spoke to that has had the pharmacy on Oakdale/Scenic in Modesto CA has had nothing but bad things to say. My doctors office also told me they will not recommend that Walgreens as they have heard the same thing about continual problems with that branch. Normally I give good reviews but beware if you are looking for a pharmacy. If you never had anxiety in your life you will after dealing with these people. read more

OMG...if I could I'd give it no stars. This location is by far the worst location I have ever been to. Very unorganized & irresponsible. I've received three phone calls from their automated system telling me that my prescription is ready for pickup & when I call them nothing is in the system, they cannot find it I had to go back & forth with my doctor for two hours until my doctor contacted them directly & they finally found it. Once I contacted Walgreens & EXPLAINED that I had a surgery scheduled for tomorrow morning & must strictly follow Dr. Instructions & must take that within the next hour & asked what time will my prescription be ready...GET THIS...They said "it'll take about less than 15min BUT the pharmacist is going to lunch and will not be ready within the next hour" THEIR LUNCH WAS MORE IMPORTANT! wow! Horrible!!!!! Have never had good service from any of these pharmacies but thought we would give them another chance to redeem themselves. Boy was I wrong!!!! We were transferring my husband meds to a pharmacy closer to our home and after waiting 3 days to come pick them up I was first told it had been sold already. Then when I told them we didn't pick them up I was told they never got the transfer form from the other pharmacy. They offered to call the pharmacy and they would call me when they hear. Sorry after 3 days of waiting I'm not going home to be called another 3 days. Plus while standing in line heard everyone else having issues getting their medication too. read more

This location is the worst at customer service in the pharmacy area. They don't have enough techs, don't care if the line is out the door with only one person at window. Manager does not care or help. Other employees doing what looks like nothing. I get automatic calls saying my rx is ready, , it's not. I have auto pay, works one month then all of a sudden it doesn't. Making two trips to get one rx, smh...I'm told by my friend who works there that they just don't give a damn. It's obvious. The Asian guy with the man bun that works the floor is a passive aggressive ASSHOLE. Asked if he'd be able to check in the back for me one time and he rudely said he knows they don't have it. I got upset because he didn't even attempt to even check the scanner or anything. The next visit I made he back handedly asked if I needed him to check the back for anything and I told him to piss off. Ever since then he speeds down the isle just to avoid me. I go to the Pharmacy a lot, they're friendly enough to make up for it though. Always greeted and said bye to by the rest of the staff, just that Asian guy makes me not want to go there.
