The store staff is great, however, this pharmacy deserves all of the negative stars. You either have to pray to get through on the phone after waiting on hold for an hour (most of the time just to be hung up on after waiting), or go into the store and stand in line for over an hour (most of the time to be told that they don't know their head from their behind) to get anything actually taken care of or filled because the pharmacy staff is incompetent. read more

Literally the worst pharmacy ever. Called ahead of arriving to the location and was put on hold right away then eventually hung up on multiple times. Waited in the drive thru for about 40 minutes till I got to the window while since waiting the phone. Pharmacist told me that they were "technically supposed to be closed so couldn't refill a prescription". This was so upsetting since I waited for so long and called ahead. She wasn't even sympathetic or tried to help me. I left and called their customer service line ASAP! This is definitely a problem and something needs to be done about this pharmacy. Walgreens corporate, please do something to fix this location. I am diabetic and have to get prescriptions every other week. Countless call are hung up on after being on hold for 20-30 min, sometimes longer. There has never been a time that I have spent less than 30 minutes in line, and that is on a really good day. By the time you finally do speak to someone they are either extremely rude, clueless, or both. This is the worst Walgreens and unfortunately the closest. read more

If I could I would leave negative infinite stars. The pharmacy at this location is beyond awful. They have misplaced prescription, not been able to fill prescription with no idea when they would have it back in stock, and now for the first time claiming that the prescription that I have which has been written the exact same way for years is no longer acceptable. Well just so know I went to one of the other pharmacies near by and not only got better and faster service but also had no issues with the way the prescription was written. So I guess when you provide bad service it shouldn't be a surprise when you lose a customer for life. read more

We came 10 min early and checked-in on time. 1 hour later we got it, after rude staff asked imus to move from one side to tge store to another several times, telling us we were in the wrong place after we followed their instructions to sit, then stand by their desk, back to sit, sit by the restroom, sit by the pharmacy, come back to the front desk. Actually give them zero stars to the Pharmacy department. Completely incompetent staff to include one of the the pharmacy managers. Dropped off a script and was told they have the medication and at the same price as my GoodRx coupon. Told me it take 24 hours to fill. I returned and it was new to them and not filled. Then they told me to wait and it will only take a few minutes to fill. I ended up waited 40 minutes and they filled the wrong script kind of script and to include not utilizing the coupon which made the medication 4 times as high. If I could give this location negative stars I would. Everyone from the manager to the pharmacist need retraining. They have zero problem solving skills, are incredibly inefficient. The drive through takes twice as long as the inside. They never have any medication ready. They have no common sense when dealing with insurance. I wish there was a medical board or organization to report them to. They all need to be retrained. You cannot tell me that if someone gives you a prescription of 15 days worth of meds and another in 15 days for new dosing you can't do the math and figure out that they are trying a new med and not actually being prescribed a refill of 15 but rather just an additional number of pills for the rest of the month with new dosing. These are the types of problems they should be able to figure out since it's literally their job but at this location their job seems to be wasting peoples time, incorrectly processing insurance claims, and stressing the public out with their lack luster service. I've never been more disappointed in a place. I literally now drive 10 additional blocks just to get away from them. They are so in need of new leadership and some serious remediation. read more

First time, started the process, I was put on hold by the employee then after waiting was hung up on. Second time, no answer, just lifted up the phone and hung up immediately. This has been my neighborhood pharmacy for years, and during that time I've watched it's customer service completely deteriorate. It could be part of the problem, but I actually don't think it's the employees - it's that the pharmacy is so understaffed. The wait time - even when there is no one in line, or one or two additional customers, is horrendous. Everyone is always in the back filling the prescriptions but no one is ever in the front to actually give them to the customers. I've finally had enough. I'll drive a little further for better service, I'll probably end up saving time anyway, and definitely the aggravation. In addition, I almost never can get anyone on the phone if I need to speak with someone, and over the past few years they've reduced their hours. All I have to say: Wed. 6:30p - doctor calls in prescription Wed. 9:30p - prescription not ready, pharmacy closing Thurs. 9a - first person in drive thru lane, one person at counter - wait. second person being taken care of. wait. another person. wait. - star buzzing over and over and over and over. It is my understanding that you should take care of one and one. One counter person, one drive thru person. It's only fair. - buzz buzz buzz Thurs. 9:30a - I get my medicine and ask why they took so long - answer: it's only two of them in the pharmacy. My conclusion: if you don't have the personnel needed to handle your pharmacy traffic - do not open the drive thru and have people come inside and make one line - otherwise, I'll keep on buzzing - and I know that can get as annoying as waiting 30 minutes for someone to give me a little bag that was just sitting there waiting to be picked up. read more

I've used them about a year. They're no better, and possibly slightly worse than any other chain pharmacy. Not in the best neighborhood, being right across from an inpatient drug rehab center, but just fine by day. Just don't go if you're in a hurry, because it's always slow. I went with my girlfriend to this Walgreens, which we always go to, to buy Children's Multi-Symptom Cold medicine for her baby brother. When she was about to pay, the person in the cashier (which also happened to be the manger) asked to see her ID and mine as well. She showed him her ID and I questioned why I had to show mine too if I was not the person purchasing that item. He rudely told me that it was store policy, and when asked to explain exactly what the policy was, the manager (Renee) became extremely aggressive and told us both to leave the store as he called us "mamitas", which is a very vulgar and sexual way to refer to young women in Spanish. Mind that all of this happened with a long line of customers watching. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had in any drugstore, I felt extremely violated and humiliated. When asked to show his name tag, he quickly flipped it around and refused to give me his name. No woman should be treated with such vulgarness especially in front of a crowd. I have been going to this walgreens for almost 6 years. When I began coming here there were such great people on staff who were always smiling and laughing. As the years went on, those people were fired for a variety of reasons. There only 2 ladies that I go to there now whenever im there. I have seen the store manager very very few times in all the years there, probably 4 times. I will not write details, since this is the only one I can go to in walking distance, but many of the cashiers are rude, and unfriendly. There is one girl whose work ethics are as desirable as hemorrhoids. Some of the other ladies dont even say thank you when you pay. They tend to give you mean looks, and not really smile, more like do things in a bad mood. Some of the time, they seem to speak about customers in code, so as to not alert the customer that theyre talking about them. One of the managers is always talking to someone and making jokes, I barely see him doing some sort of physical labor. If you go in the morning, some of the morning staff find it more important to talk and make dumb jokes then to ring up my stuff and allow me to get to class on time. Plus being rude to customers. One girl was always there with a face like she was going through life's struggles, and one of the worse attitudes I have encountered in the customer service industry. All I can say is, if I had a choice, I would go somewhere else that is walking distance from me. read more

No idea how this Walgreens can properly function as a business. I feel bad for the staff who are always overwhelmed both in pharmacy and at the registers. Almost every time I'm there I see people come in and look at the line and leave. Want to use the drive thru? Good luck, you'll legit wait over an hour. I was just checking out yesterday and the cashier answered a phone for the pharmacy asking for her to walk to the back and see what's going in because her patient was in line at the drive thru trying to get blood pressure meds she needed ASAP. This place is such a mess it's almost comical but sad at the same time. I never thought I'd be writing a walgreen Yelp review but again, you can't make the stuff up that happens at this place. My feelings for this place mirror my sentiments for the Publix on 48th and Biscayne. I loathe this place. My stomach clenches at the thought of my going here. Appart from parking here to get some decent flowers from the lady with the flower cart, there is no good reason to go here. It's scary, dangerous, depressing, and unnerving. From the shop lifters getting caught and screaming to the top of their lungs, to homeless beggars, to street thugs, you will fear for your life. Maybe not initially, but at some point you will. Don't even, with the pharmacy. Imagine everything that can be wrong with a pharmacy and this place has it. Long waits, perscriptions missing or unfilled (without them contacting you), crap service at the window (but i advise against the window for "smash and grab" reasons. There are pharmacies in Tijuana with better quality and service. Go else where to fill scripts. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I have never been more dissatisfied with customer service than i have at this Walgreens location.We are moving n a month and I'm most excited about having a new local pharmacy because this Walgreens has made my life hell. Since my one year old was not a previous customer, when prescription was sent for her and I didn't receive notification for four hours, I dragged her to the store(no one picked up the phone) with a 103 fever and was told this..."Since your daughter has not been set up with an account, her Rx has been routed to Orlando. You will need to have the doctor resend here after you set up a profile for her" My response was predictable..."Orlando Walgreens? That doesn't make sense and the doctor is closed since it's 6:00pm, can't you contact the Orlando store to retrieve it?" "No, we can not". No willingness to help, and horrible customer interfacing. She knew it was as ridiculous as I said it was, but she remained unhelpful. I went back and forth with our doctor all night because Walgreens neglected to answer the phone or check the voicemail to finally get my daughters Rx. We had a similar experience when my daughter had an allergic reaction to that medicine and we needed to fill a separate, additional Rx the next day. How does a corporation as large as Walgreens not have an efficient system to handle Rx's? Between waiting in long lines and having to hassle the pharmacy to do any of their job duties, your better off going to another pharmacy if possible. read more

I like the store employees but this pharmacy is the WORST. I don't know who the pharmacy manager is, but she has no idea how to manage. Why does it take forever to get anything done here? This store has the worst customer service ever. Buyer beware. On Saturday morning September 23, I bought a Six Star Pre-Workout drink mix to try before my work out that very same day. I used 1 1/2 scoops max and based on the products directions. The side effects I felt shortly after including nausea and accelerated heartbeat as such decided it was not the right product for me. The next day Sunday September 24, I took back the product with the original receipt expecting a full refund according to the Walgreens policy. When I walked inside I ask the cashier politely we're am I able to return the item. The cashier VIRGINIA rudely responded, " What is it that I'm expecting to return?" I gave her the item and she started manually weighing the container then responded " I can't return something that's more then halfway used." I then responded there is no way that more then half is used, I bought the product only yesterday and only used 1 1/2 servings out of 40 specified in the container. She then picked up my item and rudely ordered me to follow her, she then dropped the product in front of the back register, and continued walking to find the same product, assuming for comparison reasons. She returned with a new product container and started weighing them in each hand, then started again arguing that she could clearly tell from only manually weighing that the product was "more then half way used". Shocked and disgusted by the false accusation I demanded she get a scale so she can measure the container, she mentioned that it would not be possible as the store did not have one. I then asked her how is it possible without any evidence that she arrive at her conclusion. She continued her manual weighing and rudely explained she could clearly tell. I then mentioned that her attitude is completely unacceptable, started recording from my phone the incident and asked that I want to speak to a store manager to clarify this situation. Shocking, she said mentioned she was a manager and she would not be returning my product. I asked for her name and left the store completely dissatisfied with this employees irrespective & irresponsible behavior. The next day I called the store and spoke with Enrique, the stores assistant manager. I explained my situation and he explained to go by the store and ask for him so that he can return my product. When I arrived at the store Enrique attended me, I explained my horrible experience with VIRGINIA, reminded him that good customer service is important and that I am a long time client, rewards card member and refill most my prescriptions at the pharmacy. He apologized for her unprofessional behavior, refunded the product and said he will talk to her. That's it. While I'm happy that Enrique was able to refund the item as it should have been done a day earlier, I feel that he did not go above and beyond my satisfaction as a customer, thus the time of having to go back to the store during the day until 4pm on a busy week day for me so that he could attend me and not offer any additional incentive such as a gift card or customer credit for future use left me totally and completely dissatisfied with the experience and outcome of something that should have been so simple and timeless to resolve. I hope that management at Walgreens establish a procedure for educating its employees to properly deal with customer service and proper etiquette. It is concerning to see that someone with limited skills and an attitude such as "VIRGINIA" is a manager, as she seems completely incapable of using common sense and logic to resolve a problem. read more

Unfortunately, this is the closest Walgreens to my building north of venetian. It has become habit to stop there for convenience in the 5 years I have lived nearby. I don't know if I just recently came to my senses, but judging by past reviews apparently they have always been a scum store. Last week, my husband and kids stopped for diapers. My husband spent about 15 min changing my little girl in the back of our mercedes suv, then put her in the carseat. When everyone was in and he was getting ready to reverse, a homeless guy opened the passenger door and climbed in, said "I'm taking this car." He told him to get the hell out, the guy looked at the kids, then bolted, thank god. Because he was already super late to an event and the babysitter, and because the cashier on duty had already been completely rude to him, he did not take the time to unbuckle the kids and go in to speak to a manager or call the police and sit in the dangerous parking lot for who knows how long until they came. Trust me, if it had been me, 911. Today, I was on my way to work, at 9:30am in broad daylight mind you, dressed probably way nicer than common sense would tell me to be on this block, I decided to stop here for a bottled starbucks coffee and a pack of chewing gum. Pulling into the lot, a homeless guy stood in my way, as I politely waited for him to move, a car coming the opposite direction honked loudly until he finally yelled and walked away. As I parked my car and walked into the store, a homeless guy sitting begged for change, and another homeless guy at the entrance screamed to me "ma'am, ma'am, ma'am" as I tried to ignore him. I asked the second cashier, a young guy, why can't they do anything about their customers being harassed? I received an eye roll from both him and another employee nearby. While we are on the subject of cashiers, I am all for equality. But can't you put the little slow old lady in photo, or cosmetics? Does she have to be the ONLY cashier on duty 75% of the time with a line of at least 5 people visually and verbally impatient? This drains the entire purpose out of a convenience store when you have to wait in line 15 minutes. So as I was leaving, the same two homeless men begged to me again, as I walked behind the row of cars instead of the sidewalk hoping to avoid them. I was trying to install a car vent freshener I just bought, and needed to check an email, so I sat parked for a moment and a fourth homeless guy came up to my driver's window to harass me with his hand out for money. With the window still up, I motioned for him to please go away. He did not leave. He was blocking my door so that even if I wanted to get out, I could not. I got frustrated, and asked him to get the hell away from my car, with the window still up. He then flipped me off, put his leg on the hood of my car, and began to tap my windshield with his filthy hands. Terrified that he was going to bust my glass or who knows what, and also infuriated that people were witnessing this and no one did ANYTHING, I pulled into reverse and he got off my car. I debated pulling into another spot to go back and speak to a manager, but I was already running late to work, and was genuinely scared at that point to walk through a lot literally full of vagrants with no one caring what was happening around them. I called the store to speak with a manager on my way to work, who sounded like a kid from hialeah. I explained what had happened and his response was simply "wow. wow. wow." He told me that when he works, he goes outside every 10 minutes to ask them all to leave, if they don't, they call the police. The police ask them to leave, and they always come back. I told him there has to be a better way to handle it, and that I will no longer be shopping there. He insincerely apologized sounding like a corporate handbook line, thanked me for bringing it to his attention, and told me to have a great day. What a way to start my day! Are there honestly ANY OTHER STORES in the Miami Beach/Downtown/Biscayne area that have this problem so consistently and without a solution??? Can you honestly tell me that all the bums and thugs in the entire 30+ blocks decide to only frequent this particular store and it's customers? The management of this Walgreens needs to wake up, before there is a lawsuit. Not to mention the store is always dirty, disorganized, boxes scattering the aisles, the photo lane credit card machine is always broken - and I won't even get into my experience printing photos here a few years ago. The pharmacy is a headache I dealt with only once, and quickly learned my lesson as well. The bathroom that I used once out of desperation is disgusting as expected. The staff is never helpful, they always look like they want to commit suicide any minute. It's just a pathetic excuse for a corporation. Guess I'll dig out my CVS card. read more

Unfortunately, the closest Walgreens to my Home so I don't have many options. I take medication for my thyroid and I refill it every month... Randomly they will send the refill to the other locations (that I have never been to) or they will lose the refill notification and insist that I didn't refill (although it's an automatic refill which I confirm every month). Every other Walgreens I've lived by simply walked in received my refill and left... At this one it's always a problem. The wait time is also unacceptable. I've never stood at the counter for less than 10 minutes. read more

I've been going to this Walgreens Drug Store for many years. It's open 24/7 but the pharmacy is only open until 10 p.m. on weekdays and 6 p.m. on weekends. I would not advise going in after 10 p.m. It just doesn't feel safe. There is a Drive thru pharmacy, a film counter (the prices and the quality are okay) and most of their higher priced inventory is not under lock and key like some of the other 24/7 stores (I hate having to find a clerk to get me something). Regarding the Pharmacy, the service and timeliness is absolutely so horrible that I will never go there again. There is always a long line and the clerks are rude and don't always provide you with accurate information. I've been told my prescription has expired and that I need to call my doctor which is incorrect, it is their job to call me doctor since Walgreens should send a fax or call my doctor. They also say that they don't have the medication when sometimes they have it but it's not unpacked yet. I think that is a deceptive practice. We have several times escalated the issue to either a pharmacist or a manager and received a totally different level of service. I just want my prescription or meds on a timely basis and I don't want to spend hours arguing with someone about it. Lastly, Walgreens is not very "green" because over the past month, we've received our prescriptions in large plastic bottles, probably large enough for a year's supply of meds. There is parking on both sides of the store. There is almost always some guy that asks me for spare change as I'm entering or leaving this store. There is a great flower vendor on the sidewalk that is one of the best deals in town. I Yelped about it earlier. I will park in the Walgreens parking lot if I am buying flowers there. They don't seem to care and I've never seen a tow truck there. read more

The absolute worst Walgreens, in existence! There's this really, really old Cuban lady (she's like 110-years old) who works at the register, and my gawd, I think it's time for her to retire. If she wants to work, then maybe Enriqueta's could use her as a busser (check out my 1-star review for Enriqueta's), or something. And it's not just her, but practically the whole staff is unhelpful. Wait a minute, isn't a requirement to have a high school diploma or GED to work at Walgreens? The reason I ask?
