I have been waiting on my son's medication since we went to the doctor last Wednesday, July 29th. Our new doctor's office CALLED me to confirm the prescription was sent last Thursday morning. I went in Friday to pick it up and their computers were down. I called layer that day, computers still down, they told me I could transfer my prescription to another pharmacy. This was a lie as the pharmacy they transferred my call to could not find my son's prescription, which means they never entered it into their computer system upon receipt. It is now Wednesday, Aug 6, and never received a call to let me know my son's prescription is ready, so I call again. They tell me they are waiting for insurance information, which I told them the previous Friday that there is no insurance. I informed them at that time that I am sending someone to pick up the prescription. The person I sent to pick up the prescription gets there only to be told it has not been filled and they will TEXT ME when it is ready. NEVER GOING TO THIS WALGREENS EVER AGAIN! I will also be filing a complaint with Walgreens corporate. read more

I love Walgreens. I do. But not this one..... I've always had issues with the pharmacy here. No one ever works, it seems like every time I go there they have closed early or just not open for some unknown reason. ( and not talkin about lunch breaks) but I feel there are some real degenerate lazy people working here, or self entitled individuals. It's just frustrating because they keep saying the pharmacist is out, or we closed early because no one was working. THEN FIND PEOPLE WHO WANT TO WORK!!! Or just shut the whole store down.... I've been using Walgreens PHOTO department at Power/McKellips for years and recently they made two employee changes that was just the wrong move......Picked up order yesterday and Ms. Rude "THERESA" acted like I was bothering her, then she began to tell me I've not had an order since June, I restated, I was just in two days prior to pick up my order but forgot one order so I was back to get it. RUDE SERVICE!!! I've been here several times to pick up photos. The older lady with long grey hair and black glasses was short with me and convinced me I didn't order more prints. She barely looked in the bin under my last name. I showed her my order and it says it should be there. She called another person. He was super nice and helpful. She was then RUDE TO HIM!!! Walgreens at Power and Mckellips has the best liquor department out of every Walgreens I've been too. I go out of my way to come to come here. The alcohol is always stocked, the shelves are always clean, and the new displays for fireball, Jack Daniels, and the new Buffalo trace are eye catching! I've shopped and used this pharmacy for three years. Not once have I encountered a rude employee or had an unpleasant experience. This store is always clean, organized, and rarely out of sale items. Do NOT go here to the pharmacy. I've never had a smooth experience whenever I've come here for over a year now. I always have a long time of waiting in line and then right when you get to the front of the line the workers will go hide in the back or just leave???? I wait over 30 minutes every single time even when my pills are ready for pick up. Today Bailey was nice to help me but NO ONE else acknowledged me. The pharmacist (long blonde hair) and other ladies in the back (red hair older lady) were just laughing and gossiping. They need to do something. Hire better people, more people....something. **One star Review is for "out - of - pocket paying" prescriptions cost. Overall I love Walgreens. I love to be in the store when they have a clearance on holiday merchandise. I love perusing the isles for weird trinkets and random make- up items, and I love their off beat selection of dog clothes to flip flops. It's my go to store for gift cards and general everyday personal supplies. I'm not a big box shopper and feel safe inside my local, little square Walgreens box down on the corner. I have also been getting my prescriptions filled here for YEARS. Last month one of my prescriptions went from $70 to $$250... They even called me to make sure I wanted it filled since the price mysteriously quadrupled. I paid for the script because I needed it. I called my doctor this month and asked if I could get a generic prescription as the price was out of control! (We have self- employment insurance and pay mostly out of pocket for prescriptions) My doctor told me to NEVER get prescriptions from Walgreens if you are a self -pay customer. She changed the script to CVS and recommended I use GOODrX . The SAME prescription through CVS, using GOODrX was $22.00. $230 LESS THAN WALGREENS!! I am not even sure how Walgreens can legally charge that much different for a prescription when it can be purchased for a fraction of that price a mile down the road. read more

My family and I really appreciate the folks that work at this Walgreens Pharmacy because they are always so friendly and honestly seem interested in making sure our prescription needs are taken care of. They take the time to help make sure things are just right and help to get you on your way quickly. Ok.. I'll put aside the fact that the photo staff lady asked me "how far along are you?" two months after I had my baby, sending me into a whirlwind of emotions. I just looked a little fat, not pregnant.. give me a break and train your employees on etiquette. My REAL ISSUE is that I went to the Pharmacy drive thru, said my name, verified my address, and the pharmacy tech told me I owed $7. I told her that I never pay a copay for this prescription and to please check again. She assured me that I owed the $7 so I gave her my credit card. Something told me to check it before I drove back out onto Power Rd and thank God I did. SHE GAVE ME SOMEONE ELSE'S MEDICINE! The woman's name didn't even sound like my name, but our last names both began with an H. I saw her medicine name, her address, her full name, etc. I immediately returned it. The pharmacy tech quickly said sorry and refunded my card and went to find my prescription. ARE YOU SERIOUS? What if this had happened to a senior citizen that might not have checked the medicine and just took it? Walgreens could've killed someone! And at the very least, they gave someone's personal info out including what kinds of meds they're on to a complete stranger. That's unacceptable. Aside from that, the photo counter never gets my order right. Either it isn't ready by the time they said or they completely mess it up. I ordered my son's 1st birthday invitations.. yes, at the last minute of needing to send them out (two weeks before the party--my bad), but still. We go to pick up the invitations the next day and the photo staff says "We ran out of that paper so we can't make them the way you ordered. But Walgreens on Main can." Oh really???? Why couldn't you CALL me to inform me of that instead of WAITING for me to come into the store? My 11 year old was waiting in the car because it was supposed to be a quick in-and-out thing. No, it took 45 minutes for them to think of a solution, which was to print my invitations on tiny photo paper. I wanted to get out of there so I just accepted it. But the lack of communication with this place blows my mind. I've been using Walgreens for invitations for my kids since my 11 year old was born and never had issues until I moved to this area with this Walgreens. And the one on Main St isn't much better so I guess I'm stuck moving to CVS. UPDATE...!!!!!!! I didn't take my own advice and got another prescription sent here. THEY LITERALLY GAVE MY BABY UNMIXED ANTIBIOTICS. THEY FORGOT TO MIX THE POWDER WITH LIQUID. How does that even happened? Having to come back out with a sick baby because this place is negligent is not okay. They should NOT be handing out medicine. I could've sued them for giving me the WRONG medication when that happened months ago. And now this? This pharmacy needs to be shut down. Worst store to get prescriptions from. Long lines, longer wait times. They have 4 registers and only seem to run 2 at a time. However, just before their lunch break, an amazing thing happened, they had 3 open. I created a Yelp account just to give this Walgreens location a 1 star review. I've had a few issues with them up to now, but I've been trying to be patient in the age of COVID-19. Today finally put the icing on the cake for me, and I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I received my monthly alert from Walgreens letting me know my auto fill prescriptions were ready to be picked up a few days ago, so I went to get them. They only had one of the two filled and had completely ignored the other one. They said they were out of stock by that point in the day and I would have to pick it up the following day. I said fine. However, it wasn't ready the following day. By the time it was ready, I had to go back to work. I have been transitioning jobs, and apparently I lost insurance from my previous job within a week of my final day, so by the time I was able to pick up my prescription, which should have been filled about a week prior with the other one, I no longer had coverage. I DID have a discount card that I redeemed, but even with the discount my prescription was up to $175. Money I really didn't have to spend on that. Absolutely ridiculous that this even happened, and there was zero sympathy from the person at the window. Do not go to this Walgreens. If you're dead set on Walgreens, there's another one two blocks north. I will give them this, the store itself is actually quite nice. I have no issues with the floor employees or the store stock/layout, but the pharmacy staff is so bad it still gets a 1 star review. Go anywhere else, seriously. read more

Worst Pharmacy ever! This walgreens should not advertise a drive thru since you literally sit in your car for 25 minutes before someone comes to help. And when they do it's another 10 minutes to find the prescription. Why don't you go inside you ask? If you go inside you stand there in line(being the only person usually) and watch them walk by the window and ignore you for a half hour. EVENTUALLY someone helps you and it takes less than 5 minutes to hand you the script. There's a difference between being understaffed and having poor customer service, when there are several employees every where you turn, you know it's not a staffing problem. God forbid you go to a new doctors as well, Walgreens will delay scripts for days on end, even after they've told you their working on it. I understand a lot of this is due to insurance issues. However if you have the same doctor and the same insurance for years and years. Why does it suddenly become an "insurance issue"? Perhaps because Walgreens doesn't actually call the insurance/doctors/customers or fill in any necessary paperwork. I have never had a problem with any walgreens but this one. Please do not take this as a " I hate you rant". But if I were you, I'd drive the extra 5-10 miles to find a different walgreens. read more

The pharmacy here has always treated me very well and as a personal friend. The pharmacy manager went though my daughters cancer journey with me and was very helpful. The staff doesnt seem to have much turn over. Overall the store is very well stocked and has a good selection of things that are requires for most drug stores. I went there and dropped off a prescription on Sunday. I told the girl my insurance won't cover it I want to go thru good rx. I wanted 3 inhalers Xopenex. I gave her my phone with all the information for good rx . I repeated 3times do not run thru BCBS. They only cover Pro Air. Today I get a text saying the is going to be a delay for insurance will only cover 30 day supply. I called the pharmacy and the woman on the phone was rude. I told her I was going thru good rx. She says well I don't have any information about that. What was the person's name you talked to. I said I don't know her name she worked yesterday. Worst Walgreens I've ever been to! Pharmacy staff is unfriendly, unhelpful & appear to not to be very knowledgeable. Every prescription I filled there for 6 months, was entered incorrectly and resulted in incorrect copays. Never in my life of using Walgreens have I had this issue, yet it happened every time at this location. It's the closest one to my house, and I drive past it to go to a different because I refuse to go there. Doesn't matter what day or time, the line to check out in the regular part of the store always takes WAY longer than it needs to. read more
