We needed a charger, so we stopped by this Walgreens. It's well-lit, though some aisles felt a bit cramped with boxes around. When we found the electronics section, there were no chargers for my friend's iPhone. No big deal, she could use mine, and only needed it since she was staying longer. We ended up buying snacks and drinks instead. The location is convenient, though the selection of electronics, snacks, and drinks felt a bit limited. Overall Service: Swift and friendly at checkout. read more

Worst, most rude, derelict pharmacy staff I've ever had the misfortune to interact with. I tried to fill five prescriptions for 6 days, and having just moved to Madison I could not return to my usual pharmacy. Went nearly a week without needed medications. Impossible with these awful ppl. read more

Walgreen's Whitney Way Pharmacy (Madison,WI) manager S***a has a monstrously bad attitude towards customers. A medical worker should have sympathy to people who need medicine because they are ill，but S***a makes it difficult to customers who merely try to get their prescriptions filled in the pharmacy. A few encounters with her and you will find that you are dealing with a mean spirited, angry person. She doesn't belong to this profession. I have decided from now on to never to visit this location. read more

What is it with your young store managers? Arrogance is definately sickening. All i asked for was a call back on my order and jordan was such a jerk that ill be taking my business elsewhere. Strike 2 in less than a week with your stores. Looks like you need a makeover or better yet a do over for your store managers read more

This Walgreens definitely got the job done. We stopped in for some gatorades. There were actually a few OOS, which is annoying. However this is a convenient location, and it was easy enough to find what we were looking for. There is street parking nearby. read more

The pharmacist was exceptionally rude in explaining a mistake that the pharmacy made, and she claimed not to be able to literally understand what I was saying, which is strange as I'm a fluent speaker of English and a university lecturer at that. Exasperated after several back-and-forth miscommunications, I asked to speak to someone else; the pharmacy tech clarified the issue in 30 seconds, and it transpired that it was a simple mistake on the pharmacy's end with which I did not need to concern myself. The technician also added that my question was reasonable and that she would have had the same concern had she encountered this issue. Five stars for the understanding and patient tech. That second conversation was simple and even pleasant, so I'm really not sure what caused the pharmacist herself to become short with me immediately (as soon as she "didn't understand" me, she became short-tempered). Needless to say, I won't use this pharmacy again. read more

I should have checked Cabell's review before using this place. Did they mess up something, like they did for Cabell? Yes! How many times did I have to get transferred to the pharmacy before someone actually picked up the phone? Three! Did they fix it and then call me back after saying they'd call back the same day? No! How many times did I have to get transferred to the pharmacy when I called back after they didn't call? Once! It's now 4 minutes before closing; is there any chance I'll be able to pick up my prescription today? No! After promising to call back for the second time, will they actually call back and fix it so that I can pick up my prescription tomorrow? Maybe! Suspense in movies: good. Suspense in pharmacies: bad. read more

I've had 2 interactions with pharmacy staff now and they were both horrendous. As a healthcare provider myself I'm embarrassed by the attitudes of the pharmacy and their staff. I chose this pharmacy due to location and convenience (my prescriptions are with CVS) and I move frequently for work. I'm well versed in my insurance and how to handle my prescriptions and transferring them from one CVS to another but even simple questions they handled with disdain and like they were too busy to be bothered. They were adamant that I was wrong even when I had my insurance on the phone "helping" them. During my second transaction I simply called because their system informed me one of my prescriptions wouldn't be ready until the following day. I asked if they could give me an estimated time and was told they would send a text. I was calling because of a text I had received ‍. The pharmacy tech was extremely rude and replied "I guess you can't hear. I told you we are filling it. We will send you a text when it's done" and proceeded to hang up. Wow. Whatever happened to basic manners and customer service? If that's what you are looking for do NOT go here. My apologies as a healthcare provider because this is not how pharmacist or anyone in our profession should act. read more

Typical Walgreen's that you'd find anywhere else. BUT! Instead of being sorta bent over at the ATM in the front, use your debit card at the counter and they will give you money back with NO service charge. I just love Walgreens. Great deals on great products, This location is really the best one I've been to. It's certainly the most interesting, and it appears to be very well-kept. On a side note, it is in a very beautiful and unique building on the Square, adding to its charm. The people who work here are top-notch, and will go out of their way to make you happy. Their service is just getting better and better since Walgreeens began it's re-branding campaign. Having said that, I am very perplexed and mildly disturbed that every employee, every time, tells me to "Be well". It was cute the first time, and after that, became rather creepy. At the very least, it is concerning because it takes away the clerks' personalities, and forces them to adhere to a strict script, which clearly is not appropriate to say to every person who shops there. :) All things considered, it does make for a hot topic, and for that reason, I give Walgreens points. The only thing this individual store could really work on is either a) having more cashiers posted during peak periods or ) making better use of the folks currently working in the store. It is often quite a long wait to be checked out here. Don't let that stop you from coming. This is really a great place to shop. This Walgreens is a flag-ship store in Madison, and in general, it shows. read more

Red headed pharmacist is extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked for 3 prescriptions to fill. The pharmacist processed 2. When i got there and said that i had requested three she yelled from inside that she spoke to me and i only asked for two. I politely explained i had. She was so rude. Rolling her eyes. Telling me i was wrong. My husband listened to the convo and confirmed i requested all 3. She also said they normally don't do emergency refills. Yet i have had to do this a few times at other pharmacies and have never had an issue. read more

Convenient to those of us in the Capitol neighborhood, this Walgreens has everything you'd expect from a drugstore, plus a slightly expanded offering of home goods and grab & go food and drinks. With several apartment buildings and businesses surrounding it, this makes a lot of sense and it's great that they're stocking for the needs of their clientele. This location also gets slammed when there are events going on like Concerts on the Square, Live on King Street, Art Fair on the Square, etc., and in my experience they've been great about staffing appropriately to keep lines moving. Glad to see they're also open later during the week - in my college days they kept business hours which was not super convenient. Now if I need a quick staple I can just pop on by. read more

I was a long-time customer at this Walgreen's until some moron of a cashier followed me around once several years ago and on a subsequent visit eyed me with suspicion, even when I approached her register to pay. I am Caucasian, as was the ignorant employee. This store creeps me out. read more

The process for obtaining passport photos went smoothly and I was happy with the end product.

Location is great since it's in the square. But come on, why don't you have unisex scarves/hats for the men who are trying to brave the cold weather?! My buddy bought the fuzzy gray beanie meant for ladies, but it's pretty close to unisex, and you can make do when it's 5 F out! read more

This Walgreens is conveniently located, usually has in stock everything you'd need, and rarely do you have to wait very long in line because they're good about opening up more check-outs if they see a line forming. The prices are decent, especially if you open a Walgreens reward card. I now get my prescriptions filled at Community Pharmacy but when I used to get my prescription filled at Walgreens, they were always friendly, professional and speedy. read more

Tim is rude. and he told me to stay 6 feet away from someone when I was literally 5.9 feet away from them. And tons of ppl were walking around with no mask, ect. Stop looking for reasons to harass your customers and just do ur job. read more

I have very rarely used this pharmacy without them screwing something up. Repeatedly, they have failed to notify me about some kind of hold-up with my prescription until I've arrived to pick it up, resulting in either an extremely long wait or a return trip on my part. Most memorably, I had to wait for over 30 minutes to fill a pain killer prescription while I had a splitting headache--and the store was quite sparsely populated at the time. read more

Now I've only have gone here to get makeup. Which they are great at having all the new items. Tons are buy one get one 50% off. It's a Walgreens. It's all kind of the same. It's a pharmacy and general convenience store. The pre made sandwiches are actually pretty good. Also they can print your digital pics as actual photos, just like in the old days. read more

A good Walgreens. Its big, got a pharmacy, its clean. Very convenient location for many. :-)

Just wanted management to know what a wonderful employee they have in Ari. This young lady went out of her way to take my contact information and call me when a small item I wanted was not immediately available. She was pleasant, courteous and extremely helpful. read more

I like them ok, this is a pretty good location too. I still go often, but at times I have found the walgreens locations to be pretty hostile. Not all the time. If I can get there I like it still but prefer community pharmacy. read more
