This Walgreens is not my pharmacy, but I scheduled a vaccination here because it was convenient. I had no problems setting it up or checking in for it, quick in-and-out. It was a quiet time of day, neither the store nor pharmacy were busy, so I have no idea if you'll experience a wait during busier times. They have all your usual Walgreens merchandise but be cautious if you're picking up prescriptions here. They are often out of common prescriptions especially those generally taken by elderly folks. Maybe due the number of senior communities in the area? Confirm you're prescriptions can be filled in full or risk having to run to other Walgreens to get your complete Rx. read more

I have lived in the area for a few years and have utilized this pharmacy for the last few years. I've had no issues, sometimes they can take a little longer to get prescriptions refilled, but there have been a few times I've called to get it rushed, and they've been nice about it. Does anyone else have problems with their automatic refill program? I had refilled some prescriptions for a 90 days supply recently, which were automatically filled like they are supposed to be. Not even two days later they called me to ask if I wanted them refilled. I said I literally just got them filled. And she said sometimes the system takes a while to catch up. I didn't know they would cancel one that I needed a couple of weeks later and here I am without medicine. Granted I thought it was refilled with the last batch but it apparently was not. I did not look in the bag until now and just assumed it was in there. I believe either they did not automatically fill it like they were supposed to, or forgot to put it in there and put it back for not picking it up, or I misplaced it. They weren't going to give me one to hold me over at first. I had to call back again and ask for and they agreed so I went there. Without this medicine, I'm literally ill. This has been an ongoing issue. And don't try calling. It takes forever to get someone on the line. I called my doctor's office and hopefully they will come through. Previously, I had stopped taking a medication and let them know and they continued to fill it each month, although repeatedly telling them I dont need it and am no longer taking it and and gave it back like four times. Get it together! Update: I went to the pharmacy and they claim they gave it to me with my other script that was automatically called in. I had to open the bag today and there was one medication in there. She asked if there was a hole in the bag. I said no there wasn't. I don't have the medicine. They filled it and made me pay for it although I shouldn't have had to because I've already met my deductible for the year. Their automated reminder system is seriously flawed. You either get continuous calls to pick up or no calls if there is an issue refilling or it's hard to get through. I know they're probably overwhelmed and I'm frustrated but they could and should do better. The woman really was trying to help when I got there. read more

So it was time for my annual flu shot, and a COVID booster. I looked for the latest COVID booster through Google and Walgreens popped up. I looked at the options and was relieved to find spots in Loudonville available. Due to the commonness of marketing, I'd imagined I'd gotten my last COVID inoculations at Walgreens: wrong. I went to CVS (I had a drive through COVID test three years ago at a Walgreens.) The cognitive dissonance didn't kick in until I was seated in the pharmacy. I chose the Loudonville location because I was so traumatized at how filthy I found the last three locations where I'd gotten initial shots or boosters (they were all CVS stores...) Entering the Walgreens my decision to go to Loudonville was reinforced (I imagined that the store in this neighborhood would be clean, but I live in the town of Bethlehem and the two CVS stores there are a mess so clearly, it's a function of company more than location.) Besides going to Loudonville, ending up at Walgreens proved an incredibly smart decision. Just the waiting area for the shots (which was clean and had decent comfortable wooden armed chairs) was infinitely different. I was stunned that I was then taken into a private room to have the shots administered (at CVS you sit out in the open slightly shielded by a nylon screen, despite needing to partially disrobe so that they can properly administer the shots.) Only after the clerk at the pharmacy front desk checked me in did I realize that I had the pharmacy companies confused (she verified my address, and it was a place I last lived 14 years ago...) I did attempt to give her my United Healthcare card, which she declined (why I don't know; she insisted she had everything she needed) so I have a sinking feeling that I might end up with a bill I'll need to get resolved. After that, it was a very l o n g wait, till another clerk came out with a survey for me to complete and then after submitting that, another l o n g wait before a pharmacist brought me in to get the shots. Watching the action, it's evident that the store is a beehive, and that the pharmacy department is severely overworked (supporting ongoing reports about burnout and subsequent errors at Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid pharmacies across the nation.) I politely referenced the staff appearing to be worn ragged, and he indicated that there were delays that day as they weren't be assisted by pharmacy interns. I don't know that I would come here with a prescription, though when I lived across the nation the local Walgreens was reliable. This staff looked pretty beleaguered, and it was only 11:30 in the morning and I could see that they were being worked relentlessly. What I do know is that knowing I can get a COVID booster here (my personal doctor doesn't have the vaccine) there is no way I'd go to CVS again. read more

As an update, I was here earlier this week (twice, unfortunately) to pick up a prescription that had been called in the previous week. When I arrived at 7:45PM, it wasn't ready. Apparently, since it was a renewal of a previous prescription that had been processed by the former CVS, their computer system hadn't notified Walgreens to fill it. I found this out after waiting in line for 15 minutes. Given the option to wait longer for it, or come back the next day, I did the later. And waited in line again. They have five people working every time I am there. They are usually very friendly. But the long wait times and the computer system glitches kill any semblance of customer service. It sucks. I can only imagine how bad it will be once cold and flu season is underway. read more

It's Thursday night at 8:15, closing at 9, I'm doing some last minute Christmas shopping, I had some pictures to print out and the two ladies working couldn't have been more helpful. I was the only person on line with two registers open and the cashiers managed to take over 7 minutes to help each of them. Took a very long time to get some well needed eye wash. The eye wash ended up being a nightmare in itself but that's a story for their customer service complaints. Store was very clean. Parking was ample. This store needs new management, very unprofessional. Even the adults are children, customers walk in without a mask or it's around their neck. The management puts their workers under a lot of pressure and risk, I noticed one cashier was ignored on many occasions when they would call for back up constantly. This store needs corporate to step in but unfortunately that will never happen. Personally, I'd never allow my kid to work for this company but that's just me. I made a reservation on line for Covid and Flu shots. I couldn't complete the online form because it REQUIRED entering the month and year of my last pneumonia shot, last Shingrix vaccine, and last tetanus vaccine! Who knows those off the top of their head! When I went to my appointment 20 minutes early, the line was so long that it took all of that to even get to the counter! The paper form I was given did not require me to give the month and yr. of those other vaccines, but just had an answer YES or NO to having had them. And entering dates if you knew them (NOT required). They actually told me that the reason for asking those questions was apparently to offer to give them to me at the same time if I wanted them. Those shots are not free, so I would consider the online form required fields as forcing you to provide and trying to collect personal medical info to try to market/sell their services! When I made the apptmt. online, they said to bring your Covid card. I did, but they never asked for it, or added the shot I was getting to my card. Now I have to go back to get them to do that. TERRIBLE pharmacy! Won't go there again. No wonder our CDPHP insurance has just decided to no longer use them for mail prescriptions. Go someplace else! read more

They told me they would call me when prescription was ready and didn't, they spelled my sons last name wrong even though i spelled over the phone, long lines, rude staff that impatient and didn't explain well why my copay cost went up $20 because i suspect they entered insurance wrong read more

Worst most incompetent rude staff at this location.Cannot contact by phone, over a hour wait time is unacceptable. I Received 2 voicemails over 3 days saying perscription is ready for pick up but when I arrive at store am asked to provide the original written scrip. Wasted an hour and 20 minutes trying to straighten out. Communication difficulties abound with several staff who could not be understood by customers or other staff. Observed staff at window unbelievably rude and nasty to customers snapping at them " when I get to it". This was the same person who answers the phone, NOT. The customer service is the worst! They were so unfair to me. I took the line, they told me to wait to be called. Then I sat with my 2 little kids,I was barely walking with an awful kidney pain.The man,came later than me,sat next to me.They called him,he took his med right away on an empty cashier and left. I asked if my med was ready.The pharmacist said yes,and told me to take the line! I told I already took the line and waiting to be called but she told me to take the line AGAIN with a very cold face and voice.I waited there 45 minutes! So I took the line I didn't want to argue.I called cust service so many times and filled complaint form 3 times. I told them I expect a call from supervisor or director. I have been a customer of this pharmacy for a long time. I thought the service was very good through the time it was Fay's, then Eckerd and then Rite Aide. The transitions from one pharmacy to another were just about seamless. I was always a fan of Walgreen's so I was happy when I heard they would be coming in next. Boy, was I wrong! I gave them a break during the early transition days, but now I have to comment. It is impossible to call and actually speak to the pharmacy department. The automated attendant usually has no option for the reason I'm calling and it it impossible to bypass and get to a live person. Today I attempted to get a flu shot. I waited over a half hour while one woman at the desk tried to service a line that went all the way down the aisle plus the drive-through window. I had unfortunately forgotten to print out the online form and bring it with me, and it was very clear they would never print it and give it to me. They are severely understaffed and, while the woman at the desk is a long-term employee who is very good, there was no chance I was going to get a flu shot today without wasting my entire day off! Sadly, I wasn't the only one in my position. They need a better online system and more staff! read more
