I used to enjoy shopping at ULTA back when they actually said hello and provided you with help and recommendations. I've stopped into this location a few times recently and have just been ignored every single time. IMO you may have better luck at Sephora if you want someone to help you. I had gone into the store to look for however I never know exactly what I'm looking for. I was approached by Jordan who asked if I needed help and not only was he patient and very kind, he understood what I was asking for got me to think a little bit outside of my comfort zone and I was so pleased with my purchase. I was so happy to know that my timing was perfect since earlier in the day. It was very busy and I would not have been able to spend the time looking for things with assistance.. I have been having a horrid time trying to find a hairdresser than can work with bleach and tone hair well since my hairdresser moved away. I finally found someone I love love love! Megan just bleached my five months of dark brown root, toned me with a silver/lavender/rose shade I'm obsessed with and gave me a nice trim and some fun ideas for our next appointment! She was awesome to talk to and my hair hasn't looked this good since Rachel left the Colonie Ulta. I'm so happy I found Megan! Only bummer was I hurt my neck (didn't realize until about an hour or so after the appt), like strained something I think and was laid up for a few days. But that's because I'm old and apparently capable of hurting myself at the sink now. Not my lovely Megan's fault. Megan for President 2024! read more

I am really sad to leave this review. I will start off by saying I've had a lot of really great experiences at this store in the past. But lately they seem to be having a lot of staffing issues. One person behind the register and if there is two people the second person has absolutely no idea what they're doing. Lines of five or six people with four or five people on the floor doing other things Like stocking shelves or getting things from the back for displays. In my opinion customers should come first and I also may not be the typical demographics for the store since I am 49, but I have been in retail in the past, and they really need to get a better handle on taking care of customers at the register. I waited 20 minutes to return one item today. Please really look at getting more staff in your store to help with both people waiting to purchase things as well as people needing help on the floor. read more

Update to my review today: Thank you for your indifference Ulta management just got a great deal at Macy's! Ordered same items Estee Lauder, Urban Decay, Bare Minerals and Tarte and I got a free gift from each line plus $20 in Macy's cash. The gifts are amazing! Must be worth $100 not kidding .Shop at Macy's online not Ulta! My earlier experience today: Very disappointed in management's response to my gift card for my $152 purchase did not work . It worked at Sephora and TJ Max (5 minutes later) just fine. Their response was that's out of our control. And they really didn't seem to care about my business. I returned everything and will not shop here anymore. Neither coupon I had applied to my seven items purchased either. At least the new cashier was a bit more empathetic. Management was like that's fine if you don't want to shop here anymore. Ok, on this we agree! At least acknowledge how inconvenient it was for your loyal customer to spend time shopping and then has to experience that your system is flawed because it can't take bank gift cards. The new cashier exhibited better management skills when a customer is disappointed. Management I suggest please learn why you cannot accept bank gift cards and be a bit more accountable and empathetic in the future . read more

Ricky is absolutely amazing! Just had my hair done with her as my stylist and I am so impressed! I haven't been to a salon in YEARS. Ricky took the time to listen to what I wanted and she delivered. She also took care to note of my allergy to gluten and made sure that none of the products used contained it! Will definitely be going back!!! read more

First off, Sabina my stylist is wonderful. This should not reflect on her: I was quoted on the site $105 and a 2 hour appointment. I was there almost 4 hours and was charged $148 and my hair is really only very slightly different. Along with this, bleach got on my dark sweater and I am having an allergic reaction to the chemicals that touched my neck. Red blotchy and painful. I will continue to shop at Ulta but I will NEVER go back for beauty services. read more

I always have such a positive shopping experience when I visit this store so I finally decided to write a review. I have visited every Ulta location in our region and this (Latham) Ulta location is my first choice when I have to shop, Saratoga is my second favorite. The staff at the Latham store have always been very warm and friendly, and also seem to work well with eachother. The team here is always super helpful and don't rush you away as if they are bothered, but instead interact with you and patiently answer your questions, and always help you try to find the right products which can be challenging when trying to match concealers, foundations, etc. I'm thankful for the professionalism and customer service I always find at this store. read more

I have been looking for a great hair stylist for months. Going to walk in appointments leaving there with ok hair cuts. I recently had the pleasure of sitting in Tara Cruz's chair and let me tell ya I won't be going anywhere else.
