Minolo had an authentic, real and empathetic personality that I have never encountered in this business. He kept the length of my hair so well and it looks even better. I have never been happier walking out of a salon. Some extra feedback: I live 5hrs away in Brooklyn, NY and stayed upstate for the weekend (as I usually do every few months). I found this place by chance on my way to Guitar Center. I have a few Paul Mitchell products and I like them over the several I've tried (esp. "Super Skinny" serum for my frizzy and wavy/curly hair) - so I decided to walk in. I would definitely come back for Minolo, he treated me like a human being and he is very skilled at what he does. Having recently moved to the area within the year, in my hunt for a forever salon I had had several bad experiences with a stylist who just didn't listen and wanted to use my head as a canvas for their "edgy" (Read: Impractical and plain ugly) cuts and colors. My friend assured me that Rachel excelled at listening and interpreting your hair wishes. She was right on! Rachel took upwards of 10 minutes on our consult - examining the prior color in my hair, its texture and weight, looking at pictures I had brought. She advised me in what was and wasn't practical with my thick, wavy hair. I felt valued and trusted her to give me what I wanted. I am on a tight budget, and I appreciated that she went to real trouble to ensure that my highlights would look natural as they grew out - buying me a few extra weeks. The prices were competitive with other salons in the area, a little over $100 for a cut and highlight. So, actually on the low end pricewise. It was entirely worth every penny. I couldn't be happier. The stylists were warm and professional. in other salons I always felt awkward and uncomfortable when the hairdressers had a private conversation over me in the chair. All of the stylist were very intuned to their customers. What I loved about the salon is the questionnaire they give you first to better understand your likes and dislikes regarding your hair. Gina asked me questions about the color I wanted, showed me swatches and gently helped me choose. She also asked me about the cut I wanted and listened to me. By the end I had probably the best ever experience I have ever had at a salon. As long as I live in this area I will come here. The biggest selling point of this salon and what sets it apart from all others is that they are completely natural and organic. The staff is well informed of the products they carry (they don't push anything on you either). The hair dye doesn't burn your scalp and it doesn't smell and you end up with gorgeous, shiny color. My stylist was friendly, professional, efficient. I did request a fade on the sides and back which I didn't get. The price of their most basic men's haircut, which I guess would be the Supercut I, is borderline competitive, a bit more competitive if you are a regular and take advantage of the discounts. But the cost for everything beyond that adds up very quickly. For me the, men's package I get with my regular stylist is more complete, more detailed, and a better value. This is an okay place to come in a pinch, on short notice, and now that I'm at least in their database, I can pursue discounts if I come back.

The place can be dead and you're still treated like there's seven people in front of you.
