I find myself drawn to this new ULTA store addition to their DFW collection. It's located in the Inwood Plaza shopping center off Lover's Lane and Inwood Drive. Parking and the store access is one of the easiest and most logistical compared to the next 3 store locations to my house. It's one minute off the main street with tons of open parking around their main entrance. Yahoo girlfriend!! Last Sept of 2016, I applied for their ULTA credit card and have enjoyed it's additional member perks as well. Using their branded credit card to pay for items in their stores, provides a triple reward point on those purchases, 1:3, minus taxes. Online is a 1:1 reward ratio. Careful on those $50 or more free shipping online offers too, they don't always get instantly credited; Call their online customer service support team for help. Their ULTA phone app has made payments and promo tracking so easy and super convenient. Let your fingers do some walking. There are great deals easily found in their app too. Open up the main screen to see 6 or more sub categories. Check them weekly for incentives, bonus point promo ties that have to be activated, make up tutorials, and much more. Don't be shy sweeties. Jump in and see what you can find. What I was NEVER told or had explained to me by any ULTA representative are the very fine print terms on becoming a Platinum Rewards Member. Once a ULTA rewards member spends over $450 in a calendar year, from January 1st to December 31st. Either at a brick and mortar ULTA store or through their Online ULTA Website, you will then be eligible for their top tiered Platinum Rewards and part of their complimentary Platinum Perks promotional offers from time to time. My irk was getting my credit card in October, spending over $275 on various items, under the impression my dollars spent would keep on trucking right on through the new year until I reached $450. Wrong!! Every ounce of every dollar spent disappeared. So come 1/1/17, I was back to zero dollars in my Platinum Reward Bracket. Now, that's dirty pool in my mind. But guess what, at over 45 years young, I still have to fight those pesky wrinkles, and dry skin, highlight those adorable grey strands, and goodness knows what else with come with my fantastic aging process. They also have a salon and do scheduled makeovers, though I've never paid for either of those services at an Ulta before, and don't really have a need for it. I recently took advantage of a free makeover with Urban Decay in store, and finally learned the secret to doing perfect eyeliner wings. Like, it's so stupid that I didn't think of this method before. Unfortunately the only thing I really wanted to pick up on this trip was a blending brush, but they were out of stock. I ended up grabbing an e.l.f. brush at Target, and it actually works quite well. I may end up getting the Urban Decay brush anyway, though, just to see the contrast. Ulta also has killer coupons for some of the non-designer brands; I incorporate a little bit of higher and lower priced products in my skincare/makeup routine, so I've saved a significant amount of money using coupons. Unfortunately Urban Decay, my favorite brand for eyeshadow, doesn't qualify. I'd also recommend keeping an eye out for beauty steals; I picked up some Tarte lip sculptor kits this month for 50% off. I love the shine on them, and the colors are fantastic and complement my skin perfectly. I mentioned the quality of service for the Orem location, and I have to give a shout-out to the ladies at this location for being friendly and knowledgeable. When a lip scrub I was interested in was out of stock, the employee I approached recommended the Bliss brand and walked me over to where it was located, picked it off the shelf, and put it in my hand, just the way I was trained to do when I worked in retail. I definitely prefer to shop here later in the evening because the parking lot gets so congested and drivers in this area are discourteous and don't pay attention to what's going on around them. I avoid this area like the plague on Saturday afternoons. Lazy Sundays are my favorite day to frequent this location.
