I came in looking for a specific brand and color of nail polish. The online system said it was in stock. All of the nail polish is in the same section which was pretty easy to locate. The online system was wrong and there was only one and the same brand but wrong color I ended up getting it anyway. There was no line when I walked in, but when I was ready to check out everyone in the store had the same idea and the line quickly became 7 people long. The workers were ok, but they did seem low key annoyed in general that they had to be working. I asked if they had the item in stock that online said and they said they don't have stuff in the back, everything they have is out on the shelves. Unsure if I'll be back, especially if the online items are a lie about if they are in stock or not. read more

The store was really busy and the line was getting pretty long. I saw a girl with black hair come up front and started helping multiple people at one time she gave her workers a high five and said you guys are doing amazing. She grabbed me next in line and answered all the questions and didn't make me feel rushed at all. She even went to check on a product that I couldn't find I found out she was the store manager. She was awesome. read more

I have been getting my haircut at the Ulta salon for the past few months. The stylist, Ashley A, does a great job and always makes sure I am happy with the final product. She's relatively new but she takes constructive criticism from her fellow stylists in stride. read more

The customer service sucks! I knew what I wanted and where to go. An employee that was in the isle I was in asking if I needed helping finding anything. It didn't even real register to me that he was talking to me because his back was turned to me and he wasn't even looking at me. I said I was fine and he said "good" still not even looking at me. When I went to check out the lady at the register asked if I had a number. I said no and she said just try one and see if it works. Obviously didn't work because i don't have a registered number with them. As I grabbed my bags I said thank you and she said have a good day but again without looking at me like the first guy did. Said have a good day while she was turning away. Like what happened to having a little respect and looking at people while talking to them. Glad the employee asked if I was good. Glad that the worker told me to have a good day. It's the principle of having basic human manners. I'm usually not caring about customers but the fact that it happened with two different employees read more

It makes me confused to see the rating for this location. I absolutely love coming to this location versus the two closer to me because everyone here is so friendly and helpful. A month ago I came in looking to find a lip stick that matched the shirt I was wearing to a wedding, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and this wonderful associate helped me find a color that matched based on the picture I showed her, she gave me tips and different lip liner recommendations. I'm so sad I forgot her name but she was amazing and never made me feel like an inconvenience or dumb because I didn't know what I was looking for. Everyone at this location has always been so kind to me I will always be coming here. (: read more

This location just lost my business. Just when to pick up an online order and showed up 2 minutes past closing. Even though there were still customers being checked out and the doors were open I was not allowed in to pick up my order. I hope you enjoy restocking my items. I will NOT be reordering. read more

It makes me really sad to have to write this review because I actually like shopping with Ulta. Lately, it's just been better to just shop online using the app. I feel like I'm always going back to the toxic ex-boyfriend when I try to give this location another chance. Multiple times there have been instances where I need to go to Ulta to pick up something, and this is the closest Ulta to me. There are a couple of things that really bugged me to eventually sit here and write this review. 1. Their customer service is horrible. They always have only 1 person at the cash registers when there's a line of people going back to the haircare section. Where is the backup to cashwrap? Where is the manager when there is a huge line? This is an ongoing problem. One time I went shopping there and it got to the point where I was the 3rd person in line and I ended up putting my stuff back and leaving because of how long it was taking. 2. The store is always filthy. Why is there inventory lying around in boxes in the middle of the isles??? 3. They need to train their employees more or not leave a new employee that doesn't know how to do a return on the cash register on a Saturday night. This location is disappointing. They need to re-train their employees, get new employees, have a new manager or do something with this store. I'd rather just shop online because the employees are useless in store. I've worked in customer service and have worked in high volume stores, so this was really disappointing. read more

Awesome location. Ulta is always great regarding products they carry and having an amazing selection as far as regular/mass produced brands as well as the high end stuff. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and sometimes the deals are better than my pro discount. The salon is awesome. I work there and love it. The team is great and everyone is pretty much family and really energizing and encouraging to be around. Super fun part time job for retail or cashiers as well, although you have to be 18 or older. You get A 25% discount working there so it's totally worth it for any and everyone. Oh and stylists get services for free and any employees get 50% off which is a steal. Greeter was unfamiliar with store products and layout. Bathroom was filthy. Check out line had 1 cashier and 5 people in line while she helped a customer pick out various free products. Cashier Annie said that I needed to have a rewards account to return or exchange. I asked if my receipt was acceptable for a return and she said no. The other cashier seemed to correct her, but I couldn't hear what she said exactly. I asked again and she said she didn't know. Per Ulta Website: Product(s) returned within 60 days of the original purchase that include the original receipt (or can be verified in our system using your Ultamate Rewards member ID), will be fully refunded via the original form of payment. Otherwise, the refund will be made in the form of an in-store credit. Please train associates better and realize that not all of your customers want to give out phone numbers in public. read more

I scheduled a hair blowout appt, and showed up 10 mins early only to be left still waiting 10 mins after my scheduled appt time. I just got up and left because they had zero customers in the salon getting their hair done and I didn't understand why they kept me waiting on the couch with no word of when they'd seat me. read more

I normally shop at another location, but since I was in the area of this location I stopped to look for a specific product. The salesperson was so rude and I asked her to face me when answering she just kept walking and I could not hear her as I was looking at her back. I paid for my product, left the store realizing I forgot to ask about another product. When I entered the store the salesperson was complaining about me...She knows she was being rude as she looked at me when I was coming back ! I like makeup stores in general. It's fun to go in and look at all the bright and shiny stuff. Ulta doesn't carry NARS brand, which is what I came in for, but they have lots of other stuff. I feel like you get way more personalized help at the other major makeup store in the malls here. Ultra staff are more standoffish, which some people prefer. I don't like to be bugged in stores normally with salespeople asking if I need help, but when it comes to cosmetics, I like the personal touch. I feel like they need to hustle a little more. read more

I used to go to Ulta several times a month. I loved browsing, getting my brows done and buying new makeup there... Now I won't go there anymore. Last month I tried to exchange a color of base for a darker shade. It was un-open and I realized when I looked at it that it was too light for me. I didn't have a receipt and the girl at the counter along with the girl in charge told me without a receipt they could only give me one penny as in store credit. I said no and left. Today I went in with the ad for the IT cosmetic deal. The girl there told me they didn't get the items in the ad. I asked for a rain check or something of similar value and nature. She said the regional manager was not going to let them give rain checks or do anything for me. I told her that Ulta was getting very hard to do business with lately. She said "oh yeah? Sorry. " so I put $150 of merchandise down and left. I will not be gong back. read more

Horrible customer service. I was shopping for a birthday gift for my niece. I was wearing a mask looking at the Hempz lotions. I unscrewed a couple of the lotions to try and smell them through my mask. (I didn't want to purchase a $22 lotion if I don't know what it smells like.) the male employee working there was walking by us and said in a sassy tone "I'm going to ask that you don't open those to smell them." I immediately apologized and said "how am I supposed to know what they smell like to purchase them?" As he was still walking away he says "You don't!" In another sassy tone. I'm a 43 yr old woman who has worked in retail and I was with my 17 yr old daughter who also works in retail. I couldn't believe how this man was talking to us. Needless to say this was the 2nd horrible experience at this location! I will never step foot in Ulta again. read more

This location in Jordan landing has the worst customer service and the manager that was there tonight was so rude and careless not just to my situation but also to her employees. Have some respect for your employees and customers or don't call yourself a manager. read more

The customer service I received was less than stellar the greeter seems like she was very put out she help me and would not show me where I needed to go to find the product I was looking for it was five minutes to closing so I figured if she helped me I'd have more then enough time to grab and check out. She said she didn't have time to help me when she was just standing there. All I wanted was to be pointed in the direction of where it was at. She was also rude and very short with me. People ask for help to receive assistance not receive attitude. I went to Sephora instead and I was greeted the way when the way one should be when entering a store the greeter seemed more then happy to help me and I left with what I was looking for. Save your self some time just go to Sephora where the employees are happy to help you and assist you without attitude. The store location for this ultra does not even deserve one star. Please train your employees on customer service. read more

Literally so rude and made me feel very uncomfortable. I always have a great experience at Ulta but I will never be returning to this location. I went to my favorite brickyard ulta for a product but they didnt have it. They called west jordan to put the product on hold and so I ran over there. I was greeted with rudeness and when I corrected myself for saying the wrong product name the girl made me feel like crap and didnt even have it on hold like she said she would. I felt so uncomfortable. The only exception was the girl that checked me out.. she seemed nice. read more

I called them on Saturday for a nail appointment. I specifically told the girl what I was looking for and she quoted me a price of $25 for a full set, and $10 to remove the tips I had. My appointment was 2:30. I arrive and was told they do NOT do acrylic nails. WTF? I explained what I was told and the nail lady (they do some gel thing, not even really sure what it is) said she would "talk to the person I spoke with." What a waste of time. read more

I'm disappointed in the salon service. I had an appointment to get my hair done, and when I arrived was told that the scheduled stylist wasn't available. The store had tried to call me but I didn't receive any calls or messages. I asked for a discount on my next appointment and the manager reminded me that "life happens" but begrudgingly said he'd try to give me a free deep-condition. Look, I have my kids with a sitter. I got dropped off her by my husband and he can't come get me for an hour, and I have a wedding in two days. If I'd cancelled last minute I'd be charged 50% of the service cost. I think for this inconvenience I'd be given something more than a "life happens." read more

Awesome selection of makeup and hair products. However, at least at this location I've never been "wowed" by the staff. If I want help finding or choosing a product, I have to chase someone down. The times I've asked for information about products, I've only received apathetic responses like they don't really care. I'll keep coming back because I love the selection and they keep everything I want in stock. I just know not to go in expecting a lot of assistance. read more

i came in for a last minute bang trim since the girl i originally go to cancelled on me last minute... i've never been to ulta for hair services, but i thought a bang trim would be safe since it is so simple... i like to style my bangs to the side like curtain bangs.. the lady that cut my bangs cut them wayyyy too short so now i have straight across bangs and they don't blend in well AT ALL. i am so upset and disappointed. i will not come back to this ulta anymore. the store overall was very eh.. read more

i Usually love ulta but after tonight I will never go back to the ulta In Jordan landing the manager was a complete jerk and the customer service was horrible ulta must hire anyone at this location because the manager there was not management material she didn't even know what she was doing and was cutting people off lol it was a joke in there they should check credentials before hiring managers because she definitely was not a manager and she definitely does not treat her customers with respect. read more

I went into the store to return items I purchased online. I asked the manager to help the young lady at the cash register because she had 5 people in line and didn't know how to issue an online return, the manager told me there was no one else to help her and then the manager walked out the front door to go on break. I waited about 15 minutes in line and then the cashier asked for help to do my return over the radio, Finally about 5 minutes after that the manager (Marissa) came inside. Marissa was EXTREMELY RUDE to me, I have never been treated so badly in my life!! I told Marissa she should be fired for the way she treats customers. I asked for someone else to help me and she said "NO, you can wait an hour or more until the GM comes in". I gathered my items, invoice, and credit statement and was walking out the door when Marissa made a nasty comment to me, I turned around and told her to go to hell for bullying me. I simply wanted to return items with receipts I'd purchased at Ulta. This was my first impression of Ulta, needless to say I will NEVER buy anything from them again. read more

This Ulta is way more organized and knowledgable than the others I've been to! Went here to get my hair done for a party. My stylist was very nice and gave me a side swept half up hairstyle with cascading curls and pin curls in the back. It was really pretty, but my only issue was that it did not last through the whole night- the bobbie pins started falling out and the hairstyle began drooping even before I got to the party. It held up pretty well, but not as well as I would have liked- lost some pins and some pin curls. read more

I've been getting my hair done here for years now, and I usually have a great experience. However my usual lady quit, which is rather unfortunate for me. The girl who ended up doing my hair must have been new, because it wasn't my usual good experience. I was there for 6 hours. 6. I was getting my highlights re done, as they had turned copper colored. She had me in the foil for 4 whole hours! My hair is fried from the bleach. The end result was good, but not 6 hours of my time good. She didn't hardly talk to me, I had super boring 6 hours. I don't think I'll ever be getting my hair done here again. I had to cancel plans for it. I didn't get any free service or anything. I'm upset that it didn't end up like usual. read more

This is the worst store. The girls act like they are better than you and are completely useless when trying to find what you need. I took my sister here for her birthday to buy her some makeup which was a really big deal because this is the first year she gets to wear foundation. I was looking for a specific product when I went into Ulta a couple weeks ago, but it took me forever to find someone who I could even ask to help me. Then when I asked her where this certain product was or if they carried it, she stated at me blankly. She obviously had no idea what I was talking about, and proceeded to lead me on a wild goose-chase around the store, searching high and low for something that looked like the product I pulled up for her on my phone, which ultimately ended with me not finding anything that was remotely close to what I wanted. I knew what the product looked like because I had used it multiple times in the past, but they obviously were out of stock. I left the store frustrated and empty-handed, except for my very grumpy 2-year-old, who I had in tow that trip. If it was just for the previous experience, I would have given 1 star, but luckily, I decided to give Ulta another try after the fumes died down from the frustration of the first trip. This time I was looking for a travel size of a different product that I knew they carried. I was greeted right away by a sales associate who immediately led me to the area in the store where travel-sized items are. She looked through them and quickly came to the conclusion that the specific item must be out of stock, and recommended another product to do the same thing. It was very helpful! I also asked her about the product I was looking for a few weeks earlier, and she knew exactly what I was talking about. After only about five minutes in the store, I was walking out, feeling happy and well-stocked for my up coming vacation. I'm so glad Ulta made up for the horrible experience! read more

I don't usually leave reviews, but I just had to for this location. I've been going to Ulta for years and have always had a decent experience. Today, I went into this specific location looking for a new foundation. As usual, I asked for help thinking the sales rep would just point me to a product. But she tried many different foundations to see what product and color would match my skin best. She was patient and friendly the whole time and never made me feel like an inconvenience.
