What set them apart yesterday was on Tuesday I had gone in and purchased a $39.00 item along with the balance of my groceries. When I got home the $39.99 item was missing from my bags and I know it was bagged Separately from everything else. I looked in the car and in the garbage thinking I had discarded it but no luck. I assumed the bagger left it on the check out area so I returned there yesterday. Spoke to customer service counter than the manager who took my receipt. 5 Minutes later she came back with a video of me checking out and the item WAS INDEED put in my basket and only thing that could have happened was I left it in the cart when I went to the garage. I was pretty embarrassed and apologized for wasting their time as obviously it was no fault of theirs. Here is the kicker... she hands me the $39.99 item and says thanks for being a loyal customer. EVERY store no matter what type should aspire to this type of customer service. It was not their fault, yet this small act of will keep me a Publix shopper forever. BRAVO!
