I haven't been at this location in a very long time. Store was very crowded with both locals and tourists. Since I was in the area, I only came here to see if they had a particular brand of bug spray in stock. As I entered through the garden section, I asked a male employee who was standing by the door if the bug spray was in this area. He shook his head no. I assumed he didn't understand what I was asking for. It didn't matter, I spotted some Raid on the shelf near the pottery. I eventually found the brand I looking for which was on clearance. I also was able to find a courteous male associate to price check the item (after a female associate said she couldn't do one) just to make sure it rang up at the listed price. It was accurate. Was out of that store in minutes. I'm not sure when I will return. Decent customer service was a bit difficult to get at this location. read more

If I have to go to Walmart, I choose this location over the one in north Miami, however, there's a sliver of a difference. Yes, there are some times you can go where lines aren't as bad but the parking is terrible although better than North Miami. Hard to find a spot and usually carts left in parking lot and no carts in store. The lines aren't very long, I've been here before, with 2-3 registers open and a line nearly half way back through the store so appear to have staffing issues. As of recently, it also seems like there's a whole section of women's clothing missing. I came across sportswear, bathing suits, and plus sized but maybe that's all Walmarts as it's maybe a biannual trip for me. I'd say it's worth a trip here over the mess and crowd in north Miami but also worth driving further west to go if you need to. read more

This place is amazing! One of the biggest Walmarts I have ever been in the selection is unbelievable compared to other locations. You will definitely spend a good amount of time at this location as they have so many aisles to go through. They have a really great deli section as well as so many fresh produce to choose from. This Walmart Supercenter is smaller then others I've visited. Each department in it is smaller with less selection/variety. This location appears to need a facelift/remodel (IMO). Almost half of the self check out machines were down/broken. Cashiers in this area were not efficient in directing customers and moving the line. But it's the only one in the area and it's busy. Finding a parking spot in the lot, challenging. And I didn't find everything I came in for. However, the floor staff was friendly & helpful. read more

As much as I dislike writing one star reviews, I just have no choice, based upon my recent experience. Parking was crazy which is typical of most Walmarts. This particular parking lot was scary, as in I was truly scared. Homeless people begging for money and millenials who look shady AF looked very comfortable roaming through the parking lot. I DID NOT FEEL SAFE. PERIOD. I was only in the store for about five minutes and I had to leave. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING. AT ALL. PERIOD. Facemasks? Sure, staff and customers were wearing them. However, they were not wearing them properly. Exposing your nose is not the way to wear a mask. I found a manager on my way out & was going to mention this, but the MANAGER wasn't even wearing hers properly. Based upon my own recent experience, I will not recommend this Walmart. Safety is key and between the delinquents in the parking lot and the lack of social distancing, in my opinion this is not a safe store. read more

This Walmart is horrible!!! I live here locally and I can imagine being a tourist how they feel when shopping here at this location! First of all the parking is horrible!! If you get here before 8 am ok. Anything afterwards you will never find parking and watch those shopping carts because your vehicle Will get hit ! Also make sure you lock and secure your vehicles! There are black girls ages from 22 to 26 years old walking around the parking lot looking into vehicles and looking to break into cars!! We go to this Walmart because it's very close by, but it is never a quick trip. The lines at the register are always long. The shelves aren't fully stocked. The employees are lazy and each time ask for help or have a question they don't even want to help you and walk away. There prices on the shelves are very different than what they ring up at the register. Overall, am forced to come here if I can't get an ordered delivered in time because it's close. read more

I went here at around 9am and was planning on grabbing 2 pre cooked corndogs. I grabbed them and asked for condiment packets because the only things they had out were forks and knives and salt and pepper. The 2 lady's grabbed around 20 mayonnaise packets and put them in the tray. I grabbed 3 packets and they both accused me of taking half of them, then one of them angrily told me I'm only allowed 2 packets and then they both told me they don't have ketchup or mustard. Needless to say I told them they were rude and that even McDonald's doesn't have a problem with giving someone 5 ketchup packets. I left the corndogs and walked out. They were talking about me in creole as I was leaving. They were extremely rude. They were acting like the 2 cents worth of mayonnaise I grabbed was coming directly out of their paychecks. I hardly ever, as in near never, go to Walmart, at least not prior to mentally preparing myself for an experience that I know I'll later swear off as hopefully having been a hallucination. This Walmart is a SuperCenter, which has just about every type of product you can think of along with every imaginable type shopper; plenty of them being the stereotypical Walmart shopper, the type I won't describe since, unless you've been living in Afghanistan, you already know. They're also the type that are horrid drivers, love to gentle scrape into other cars in the parking lot or have their kids throw open their car doors into the side of your car leaving your car with some permanent memories of a Walmart parking experience. I only stopped here as some friends from Peru wanted to get some items to take back with them, and they seem to have found plenty as when finished there was hardly room for us in the car. But for me, I merely bought some shampoo along with Optic White toothpaste. To my amazement the toothpaste was over a dollar less than I had just seen it in a Walgreens. Also looking at some other items, I really have to admit that Walmart does hit a high score for best value, biggest bang for the buck of stores. It's difficult to compare Walmart with any other store as there really are no others like it, so comparing this one with other Walmart SuperCenters its average, holds its own, Three Stars. read more

If there was a negative setting, definitely, they would get that. The people here do not want to work at all. They are lazy and refused to do anything even though they're getting paid. I don't understand what's the point of them being hired. They are rude and ill-mannered. I said, waiting for an individual/associate to come to the cosmetic section, and nobody showed up. I found someone who worked there and asked them to call an individual. She said that there was someone there and I said no there isn't. And she continued to tell me that there was someone there although my eyes work perfectly well. She said she doesn't know how to do anything, and I have to go find someone on my own. This is just one interaction of a plethora of negative interactions with these employees. It is always unpleasant to shop here. I avoid it whenever I can. I really dislike Walmart but after flying into the Fort Lauderdale airport on a very early Wednesday morning at around 2 am, my husband and I wanted to stop by this location (~ 15 miles away from the airport) to stock up on some snacks to have for our week long vacation in Florida. This Wal Mart is opened 24 hours (as with most Walmarts) and so during these odd hours, employees are restocking the shelves. When we arrived, we were able to find all the things that we wanted (including toiletries that we decided to just purchase since we were there). Then we headed towards the front of the store to pay for our items. Only 2 registers were open. But the funny thing was that both registers had a customer (both were a couple) with literally 2 shopping carts full of items to pay for... this is going to be a long morning... So with one register, this couple finally had all of their items rung up. However, when the male tried to pay with the credit card in his hand, he was declined and said they were going to come back and get another card from their car.... That couple never came back. This one male in front us asked the cashier if she can just cancel their order since it was obvious that they were not coming back. She said she couldn't and needed a manager's override (during this entire time, the other couple, with 2 full shopping carts full, at the other register was still having their items rung up). Luckily, eventually a manager did come by but had to call over another employee so that person can watch the cart of items she was pulling. Long story short, eventually the manager overrode the items and had another employee come and open another register. After waiting 30 minutes to pay for our items... we finally were able to pay. Our 20 minute shopping trip turned into a 50 minute shopping trip because of the incredibly long wait (only in Wal Mart do people abandon their transaction... most likely a stolen credit card... and also purchase a lot of crap late at night/ early- early morning). One thing that I do want to point out is that I was surprised to not smell that familiar odor that I typically smell at Wal Mart (B.O.) though. It was also nice to purchase some food items that are unique to Florida at this Wal Mart. But after this experience, it just reconfirms why I really dislike shopping at Wal Mart (unfortunately Target is not opened 24 hours). read more

Visiting this place is normally a nightmare but it was especially brutal during Coronavirus times when you're trying to social distance and the store is just slammed with people who have zero respect for space and don't know how to wear a mask. I went once, months ago, and refuse to go back. Would rather pay more elsewhere and feel like I'm not having people rub up against me in every aisle because the store is so busy. Carts littering the parking lot taking up valuable parking spaces even after 11pm at night not a spot in sight of where to park them and no workers collecting them either; super crowded. Came for a few items plus something from makeup aisle and the entire makeup section including nail polishes was blocked off-closed. They did have lots of self checkouts which was a plus. read more

I'm giving five stars due to one employee who made my shopping experience amazing. Her name is Brittney and I saw her restocking things near the coffee creamers yesterday September 23, 2019. I asked other employees including a manager the location of certain items and they barely responded as if I was interrupting them. They either told me They don't know or blurted out an isle number nodding their head in that direction. By the way there isle numbers were incorrect. After about the fourth person I asked Brittney and not only was she knowledgeable but she was smiling, friendly, professional and actually excited to help. She walked me over to look for the item where it should've been located but apparently they no longer carry that particular brand. She checked in several different locations and made sure that I found something comparable as well as another item I was looking for. I have been in the service industry for over 28 years and this was a beautiful and amazing experience. Walmart is VERY lucky to have Brittney on their staff, if it wasn't for her I would have purchased what I needed and never walked back into that location again because I can get these items literally had any grocery store. But because of her I am willing to give the store another chance because I do go shopping in that area for my mother a few times a month. Great customer service is a rare thing these days and Brittney definitely deserves all the credit for retaining me as a customer. Not only was she able to help me I saw the same enthusiasm when another customer asked her a question. Worst wal Mart in the history of wal Marts! There's a million people here and only 2 lanes open, these lines are backed up past the clothes. We haven't budged and we've been in line for an hour! This is a mad house. I see so many lazy ass workers not doing crap when there is so many angry people that have been standing in line for a hour. LOL so as I'm standing line, about 20 minutes after i posted this review. This one was closer to me than the one by University & Pembroke Rd, plus I needed to check other things in the Dollar Tree by it. I expected nothing better, just the same mediocre service and stuff I could afford while the store is still open. I was here to exchange a few things and still buy things that were needed for the next few days. While I was still waiting in line, an employee came over to get all friendly with Maxwell and I didn't mind that. I like friendliness. That was great until something odd happened. Max was acting shy, smiling but not facing her. Then, out of nowhere this same grown ass woman asked my 2 year old, "oh, you don't like me? You don't like black people?" and walked away, giggling. In my head: "ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS?!!" I will not blast her name on here, but that is really what happened last night. I felt hurt and sad, but kept my cool, responding with a giggle back to her saying that she was being horrible. I even told the cashier what happened (in a lower voice) and she thought that it was not right and she apologized. All I'm saying is that either the managers are too nice or this lady had a bad day or just couldn't handle not getting any attention from someone, let alone A TODDLER. I still can't believe this has been done to my 2 year old just because he was acting shy! Woman, stop showing my son racism. He will like anyone he chooses, even if they're blue like Grover or Cookie Monster, or even a rainbow! I guess, Walmart, you don't mind hiring ignorant people like her. Update February 2019 Been awhile since I been inside this wal mart. I usually shop at aldi for groceries and sometimes make make a online order for nonperishables. My last review was on April/2017 which I noted in the review that they don't have self checking but should add it as a must. Came here a few nights ago late at night for an item I needed immediately and picked up other stuff while I was already here. I noticed right away they added a lot of self checkout kiosks, however is was roped off and closed (attached pics). There was only one single self checkout line available and it had a really long line to which a manager in a yellow vest announced that it was only available to people with 7 or less items. This pissed people off as some noted that they come here around this time usually and that there is never a rule of 7 or less items on the self checkout, and the manager must have pulled this rule out of her you know what (lol). I mostly observed an extremely slow line 2 people (a yellow vest manager and blue vest employee) on a single set checkout line. Meanwhile, there is a whole section of self checkouts that usually gets managed by one single employee, which was roped off and closed. All in all it took like 30 minutes to get checked out (ridiculous). Saw a lot of arguments between the yellow vested manager and customers, even amongst customers. When you're waiting 30 minutes to checkout, even the person in front of you not moving fast enough can irritate people. Overall this could have all been prevented, if the yellow vested manager opened the section with many self checkout booths. She could have also explained herself better to the customers. If you're gonna tell customers a new rule, explain why is needed and in the best interest. I just saw her arguing with 5 people and thumbing her nose. I definitely didn't like what I saw and this reminded me why I shop at aldi and love aldi so much. I would put the managers name here but she was only one without a name tag on her vest. The other blue vested employees all had their name on the upper left of the vest, while hers was missing. I may or may not come back as I'm relying less and less on wal mart as I do my research on what's out there on price and convenience. If I do come back, I hope to see a little better service as the price is not so cheap when you consider there are actually cheaper services (aldi) out there that have better customer service. My last review in April 2017 I put 3 stars as I said the pros and cons were equal so I would give it in the middle. Now that I know what's out there. Where I see cheaper prices, better customer service, and experiencing the worlds slowest checkout line didn't help much. I'm forced to downgrade this review from 3 to 1 star. My advice is, don't go through all this thinking you're saving money. There are alternatives to everything. Wal mart is not the cheapest. read more

This is far from a Supercenter but not a bad location. This location seems to be a bit overly congested. There's never enough lanes open up and cashiers are probably amongst the slowest. I would say it's clean but it's too congested to tell. The shelves here aren't as stocked as other locations. The only plus side is that it's a easier location to find everything quickly. read more

Those boys deserve a hefty raise and a vacation! A true smile I could detect through their masks from start to finish! Wish there were more Marks and Shawns in this world. How is walmart only going to have 4 cashiers when there is like hundreds of people in the store. I saw three employees just talking to eachother doing absolutely nothing for the duration of my time in the shorter of the lines (around 15 minutes). Also, I asked a few different workers in the aisles where something is and they all pointed me to different places, one of them didnt seem to speak english because I had to ask the question in 3 different ways. Another time that I came in I was bent down looking for something on the bottom of the shelf, and I had a worker pushing a small cart of produce absolutely bump in to me and made me go face first into the shelf, I was ok and was waiting for even a small apology because I understood that she may not have seen me, all she said was "next time dont sit on the floor". I shop here at times because the prices on certain items are low In comparison to Wal-Greens, CVS, or Target. I usually shop late night to avoid the nightmare of a crowded Wal-Mart. Aside from the low prices there's not much more I can compliment on. The place seems messy most of the time and over crowded with stock once they added the super market aspect to the building. The isle width were cut in half to accommodate the hoarding making it impossible to go around fellow shoppers when shopping. The isles that are empty are disorganized and typically blocked off by stock carts, boxes and shopping carts scattered through out the store. The late night staff here are all Haitian and no one speaks English so don't bother asking for assistance. This place seems unsupervised most of the time due to many staff members just hanging around socializing with one another and playing on their cellphones oppose to working. The management communicates with staff via intercom oppose to supervising the floor and interacting with customers. They always seem to have one or two cashiers opened despite how many people are in the store or despite how long the lines are. This is frustrating considering they have 200 off the clock employees roaming around the store at any given time. You'd figure management would accommodate the rush by opening more registers when needed. The cashier that checked me out tonight had a mouth full of gold teeth and no personality. She moved as if she was withdrawing from drugs! But hey... like I said... the prices are low! Many times I find myself driving out of the way to the Wal-Mart on Flamingo and Pines Blvd. I give this place two stars.
