Cuban

Amazing food and many options would recommend the Cuban sub. Service was kind, quick and easy!

Amazing service. Stopped by during breakfast service and they were kind enough to make me a Chicken Salad Wrap. It was delicious! Beautiful view too!

This is a GREAT spot just set back from the beach, but with a full view and a little patio with small tables to enjoy it from. It is modest and unassuming. I remember this place from years back, and it was just a mini-mart. I don't know if it changed hands or they just re-did it, but in addition to the minimart stuff (dried goods groceries like cereal, sunblock, etc.) they now have some yummy food they prepare themselves. The couple who run it are very nice and professional. I love supporting small businesses like this one!!!! And omg you have to try the veggie bowl here! Really, really good hummus, lentils with rice (majadara), and fresh cucumber/tomato lettuce/olive salad all topped with a little shredded cheese and delicious dressing. And it's a nice size! The proprietress makes everything fresh for you. You have to wait a few minutes--gives you time to figure out what else you want, like a drink. And they have a wide selection of drinks in the refrigerated case. I was really happy to find several diet selections. They also have beer, etc. And they carry some amazing vegan gluten-free snacks I'd never seen before--Alyssa's Healthy Vegan Bites. I'm not eating vegan or gluten-free per se, but these taste amazing. I'm sure these must be sold elsewhere, but I've never noticed them anywhere. This is in an area of the Broadwalk where there are not any other places to eat, so it's convenient if you're taking a walk and want to stop, even just to buy a bottle of cold water. I just realized that there are only steps to get in at the front beach side. But I investigated and there is a ramp available in the back, accessible from liberty Street or whatever the street is on the southern side. I don't think there are any stairs from the broadwalk to the street to the ramp in the back of the building.

a view of the beach from a restaurant

Excellent little spot for lunch sandwiches/wraps. Nice little deck to sit out on and can buy beer or seltzer by the can. Chicken Cesar wrap was DELICIOUS

Doesn't allow outside food on their patio, but I def bought coffee here.

Good spot for sandwiches and some breakfast options. Friendly staff. I like the hummus wrap as a vegan option.

We were staying at the Marriott (no rental car) and found there weren't a lot of food options nearby on the north side of the boardwalk.

From the first Brooklyn location they expanded to New Jersey, throughout New York, and across the northeast. I recently had the opportunity to visit this NetCost Market in the Oakwood Plaza in Hollywood, Florida. If you join the free NetCost market Club you can unlock special deals and discounts. I was impressed with how bright and spotless this store is. Everywhere I looked there was someone cleaning, sweeping, and straightening. NetCost has the typical pantry staples you would expect to find but I was drawn to the colorful produce section with unexpected finds like mandarin oranges wit the stems and leaves for $2.49 a pound and dainty little lady apples for $3.99 a pound. Throughout the store their dumpling fest was being advertised for $3.49 a pound. The bakery and hot prepared foods department looked enticing, especially the cabbage rolls. It was nice to see some many foods from my Polish ancestry represented. In the front of the store is a coffee shop with a seating area and more delectable pastries for sale. I love exploring world markets and this was one of the cleanest and nicest I have come across. If I lived local i would be a regular shopper, especially on nights when I don't feel like cooking dinner. The Hollywood community is lucky to have such a great food shopping resource.

Since I was in the area, I only came here to see if they had a particular brand of bug spray in stock. As I entered through the garden section, I asked a male employee who was standing by the door if the bug spray was in this area. He shook his head no. I assumed he didn't understand what I was asking for. It didn't matter, I spotted some Raid on the shelf near the pottery. I eventually found the brand I looking for which was on clearance. I also was able to find a courteous male associate to price check the item (after a female associate said she couldn't do one) just to make sure it rang up at the listed price. It was accurate. Was out of that store in minutes. I'm not sure when I will return. Decent customer service was a bit difficult to get at this location.

Yes, there are some times you can go where lines aren't as bad but the parking is terrible although better than North Miami. Hard to find a spot and usually carts left in parking lot and no carts in store. The lines aren't very long, I've been here before, with 2-3 registers open and a line nearly half way back through the store so appear to have staffing issues. As of recently, it also seems like there's a whole section of women's clothing missing. I came across sportswear, bathing suits, and plus sized but maybe that's all Walmarts as it's maybe a biannual trip for me. I'd say it's worth a trip here over the mess and crowd in north Miami but also worth driving further west to go if you need to.
