What a horrible experience with the pharmacy at this Walgreens. It's a shame with prime real estate but after seeing the 2.1 rating on Google and not a great one on Yelp, I experienced the atrocious customer service first-hand. My healthcare provider sent a prescription here yesterday. I actually had 2 prescriptions: the serious one I sent to Walgreens in Coral Gables and I sent this other one here because it's close to my job. Worst decision ever. Picked up yesterday after work the one on Coral Gables with no problem. Went today to this one during my lunch break and the older lady in the pharmacy counter, wearing glasses, not speaking English first says I picked it up - incorrect. Then, says they don't have it - incorrect because I received an email from Walgreens that they were processing. Then, says "I don't have refills" - it's a one time script. After 10 minutes I just left and emailed my provider that I'm not taking it because these morons can't fill something so simple. Don't use this pharmacy, across the street is a Publix. Customer Service Manager Walgreens Subject: Complaint Regarding Employee Conduct Dear Customer Service Manager, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the unprofessional behavior of an employee at your 2962 NE 199th St, Aventura, FL 33180 store on 02/19/2025 at 230 PM. During my visit, I was waiting in line when Liana an employee at the counter approached me and told me where to stand. She did so by pointing at the spot on the floor with her hand, which I found to be both rude and disrespectful. I understand that employees may need to direct customers for logistical reasons, but there are certainly more appropriate ways to do so. A simple verbal request or gesture would have sufficed. The employee's actions made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in your store. I hope that you will address this issue with the employee in question and provide training on appropriate customer interaction. They pharmacy is the worst ever They never pick up the phone and when they do they place you on hold for 20 minutes then pick up and place you on hold again . This can go on for 2 hours until you hang up . You'll see people complaining about it but they don't care . read more

If I could leave zero starts I would. I felt like I am someone who is trying to steal something and was questioned my honesty. I was willingly letting Linette check the cameras just to see that we aren't lying. And other lady (other cashier) was persistent on proving that we were lying. After that she made sure to tell us she wants to help her customers, like we aren't the same customers as every other customer. Rude people, rude cashier. After Linette just Disappear and the whole line had to wait for her to cancel the transaction. I hope she checks the camera and at least agrees that her and the other rude cashier were wrong. I rarely post negative reviews, but this place clearly has not mastered the art of customer service. The pharmacy works at the pace of a sloth. Even when they have your prescription, they don't notify you. Bring a book because ALWAYS expect to wait. Unfortunately, Walgreens is one of the few pharmacies that carries the prescription I needed, but I'll be looking for another Walgreens or an online pharmacy in the event I need a refill. read more

Now- the pharmacy staff NEVER answers the phone. They ONLY put you on hold. What's going on Walgreens of Aventura?? Managers, Speak to your staff about customer service. I have always had a bad experience at this pharmacy. Stopped coming here for years because bad customer service even though this location is closest to my house. I have booked by mistake the Covid vacation here because I didn't payed attention to the address and I guess it was suggested to me being the closest. I had to wait one hour for my 12 year old daughter to get the vaccine wile she was so anxious about it and barley convinced her to do it. When I asked the pharmacist what is taking so long. She told me that she is mixing the vaccine so it takes time . Never going back!!! read more

I'm out of my pills, deliver them tomorrow It is now 7:00 pm. I just called Walgreens to see where my prescriptions are. Oh, they said, our delivery person didn't show. Fine, I said. Do you think you might have troubled yourself to call so I could arrange to have the meds picked up. Ah, well, we were busy, they said. But we'll deliver your pills tomorrow and we won't charge you for next day delivery. Which, of course, wasn't the point. This Walgreens has become progressively more terrible. Understaffed, poorly managed. Luckily, there is as CVS and PUBLIX pharmacy close by. We are registering with them both. read more

I made an appointment for my booster and sat there and waited for over 45 minutes for someone, anyone to attend to me. Meanwhile, Sheila and Kim were sitting behind the counter chatting it up, gossiping about other employees, etc. Exchange numbers and talk after work or go to lunch together, don't keep people waiting while you're catching up. It's rude and inconsiderate. Furthermore, the more annoyed they could tell I was getting the more they took their time. Sheila started re stocking shelves while I stood there and watched after having already filled the questionnaire out and my shot and card were sitting right there in the yellow bin. I'm always in this store since I live so close. I've never had any issues here. The staff has been very friendly. If you are a regular the staff will actually recognize you and even get your name. I'm on a 1st name basis with half the pm staff. I've even been told to come back in a day or 2 when the item I'm about to purchase is going to be on sale. Yes it is a older and smaller Walgreens so you may pay a little bit more for some items. Also keep in mind this is aventura. They can get away with slightly higher prices. read more

If I could give a negative reading I would. Regardless of the fact that they have policies and procedures in the pharmacy department that don't make sense, when I asked for clarification because I wasn't sure what the half illiterate girl at the cashier was saying, the pharmacist was snotty and rude. And my life I have never been treated that way in a pharmacy. I am a professional and are usually get a modicum of respect from people. The minute I asked a question I was treated like a troublemaker and they were so unbelievably nasty and rude I was blown away. When I called back to get the pharmacist name they wouldn't give it to me. He's an African-American gentleman with really bad acne, a 5 o'clock shadow beard and thick bottlecap glasses. My shampoo and conditioner which is $7.99 (and many times buy one get one) EVERYWHERE else is $9.99 here. I was in a bind so I got it. While checking out, an Indian woman waved me over to cosmetics from the main line (where I was next), then not only took forever to check me out, but rang razors up twice. Good thing I was looking! Anyway, when I got home with my expensive ass shampoo and conditioner, I noticed she also rang up an item that someone must have left on the counter and found THAT in my bag. I went in today to pick up a package from their Fed Ex pick up counter in their photo section. The lady working was helping another customer with her photos, so I quietly waited with my baby in his stroller. A guy got in line behind me and started chatting with me about my baby. After about ten minutes, the lady was finally done with the photos and it was my turn to pick up my package. I told the lady what I needed and she said to let the man go first. She clearly knew him. He must have been a regular customer. I was dumbfounded, as I'd been waiting my place in line and I was next. I let the man go ahead of me, which ended up taking awhile, before I was finally helped. When she finally helped me, it took her maybe a minute or two. Not sure why she'd insisted on letting her friend go ahead of me. Terrible and rude customer service. I won't be back. read more

I recently had a very inspirational trip to Walgreens. For years now it's been the ultimate one stop shop for many of my admittedly eclectic shopping lists. Who can deny the convenience of picking up everything from kitty litter to car parts in one place? Sure the lines are long, the cashiers move at the speed of, well, really slow cashiers, and theres usually at least one bum loitering somewhere in the parking lot, but the convenience of the 24 hour liquor store, one hour photo, and Pharmacy just cannot be denied. I am especially a fan of the Walgreens Photo Center, (I'm a photo album junkie), and I've discovered that the ability to edit, upload, and customize an entire photo order from home via their website is a real time saver. The prints are high quality and as inexpensive as fifteen cents per. However, orders over 40 dollars will be automaticaly charged to your credit card (a fact which I was most displeased to discover when I arrived, cash in hand, to pick up my most recent order). A certain assistant manager named Richard was rude, aggressive, and distinctly unpleasant when I tried to rectify this problem. One smug, unhappy, power hungry employee won't keep me from loving Walgreens Photos, but if you're ever in the Aventura Walgreens, stay away from asst. managers named Richard.
