This is by far the worst pharmacy in the area and has been for YEARS. I used to live in the area so for convenience purposes I always had prescriptions filled and refilled here. Now that I've moved I'm taking my business elsewhere! The wait times are consistently long, even on ones that have been refilled in advance that you just go to pick up. On new prescriptions, good luck getting them filled on the same day even. I really can't think of one good experience I've had here in 8 years. That's sad. read more

Now had to use this location, over 50 minutes on the call, 3 transfers to multiple people, still waiting as I'm writing this review. Called my usual location before this call, got help in a minute. The pharmacy in this Walgreens is the worst of the worst and deserves 5 NEGATIVE stars. Tried to pick up a prescription the day after it was called in by the doctor and was told the med was not in stock and that no other Walgreens had it either. There was no apology and no phone call advising that they could not fill the prescription. Still, I was dumb enough to call them a week later for a prescription refill. The next day when I called to make certain the refill was available for pickup I was told they were filling it then and it would be ready in an hour. That was 3:00 pm. When I tried to pick it up at 10:00 pm, I was told it wouldn't be ready until the next day. I finally got the refill at 3:30 pm the following only to discover upon arriving at my hotel that the refill for 90 tablets only contained 7. The charge, however, was the same as for 90. I then tried to call the pharmacy. What a joke! more than 30 minutes before getting a person on the phone. After checking on the situation, he came back on the phone only to be disconnected telling me anything. Did he call back? No. Now I've been listening to music for over 29 minutes waiting to speak to someone. The Walgreens in Slidell, LA, where I live, has been filling our prescriptions for years with no problems. This Walgreens in Hallandale Beach, FL should not be trusted to sell aspirin. I'm now concerned that the 7 pills they provided might not be the correct medicine. read more

Recently I discovered Walgreens in Hallandale has a Walgreens Healthcare Clinic. I was in need of a walk-in clinic or doctors appointment, but both were turning out to be an impossible task to find at that moment. For some weird reason, South Florida lacks majorly in the walk-in clinic business compared to Washington State. So thankfully I discovered the Healthcare Clinic at Walgreens by chance. Just a heads up, there are other Healthcare Clinics by Walgreens in the area now. I was able to book an appointment for the Healthcare Clinic in less than 24 hours time on the Walgreens phone app. I arrived early for my appointment the following day and checked-in on the computer system. I noticed the clinic looked relatively new and was nicely appointed. My name was third on the computer screen, but no one else was waiting at that time. I was called for my appointment 20 minutes early by the Healthcare Clinic employee. The employee was actually a nurse and not a physician, but if needed a physician was in the area to be consulted. This was no big deal for me because the infection I had was an easy diagnosis and I knew what it was going to be before I even got there. The nurse I saw was both friendly and thorough throughout the appointment. Before you really even start the appointment she did have to take my credit card, since of course my insurance plan was not automatically covered right then. I was given an itemized bill to send to my insurance if I wanted to, but completely forgot to send it and is probably too late now anyways. Since I had an infection it was pretty much an easy diagnosis, other then a quick sample that needed to be taken. My total bill was right around $100, including both the lab test and the appointment. The prescription I was prescribed went right over to the pharmacy and was ready in less than 10 minutes for pick-up. My insurance luckily covered the prescription and the infection was cleared out within a few days. Overall I was happy with the service I received and the infection was properly diagnosed. I would definitely go back if I needed something minor taken care of right away. If anything was serious, I would not consider this as an option to go to since there wasn't a physician onsite. Minor things like an infection, cold, or travel vaccinations would be an easy thing to go to Walgreens for. read more

I have given this pharmacy three tries. I have waited no less than 20 minutes to pick up my prescription on three occasions. Today, there were two cashiers at the pharmacy and one cashier was with a client for at least 20 minutes. I have no idea what could possibly take that kind of time but every time I come in I experience this type of wait. Who has time for this? I called in my prescription the day before. I always read bad reviews for this pharmacy and I would keep going there even though there was always an exaggerated waiting time to get my mom's medicine but it was not until tonight that I realized how bad their service is. My mother has covid and because of her worsening condition her doctor sent her some meds. 4 hours had passed since the medication was called in and I never got a message to let me know the meds were ready. I had to call myself to listen to the voice prompt stating that it was. To make things worst, the voice prompts also stated that the pharmacy closed at 11pm. I sent my husband to pick up the medication right away and the pharmacy was already closed when according to their message, it was supposed to be open. I was so upset that i called to speak to a manager and the explanation that i got was that they changed their pharmacy hours. They never bothered to update their schedule prompts. This pharmacy sucks. Dont rely on them especially on a medical emergency. Now i am going to the hospital because we cannot wait until tomorrow to get the medication. read more

Their pharmacy manager is the worst. Her name is iesha wilder. Ever since she took over I've had one problem after another. Everytime I'm in line and she's there , someone in front of me is complaining about something. If you can, try to completely avoid her. also, if she tells you she doesn't have a medication, its a lie. She just doesn't want to deal with you . She said this to me on 2 medications and I came a few hours later after she left and asked again and the medication was magically there. if she gives you any issues feel free to complain to walgreens by calling their corporate office. In the end just go to CVS across the street or publix next door. They're not perfect but they treat you much better. I wish I can rate this place a 0. read more

Came here to buy cigarette and chocolate. The service is pretty good and prices are moderated. I I walked around inside this place and it's clean and well organized. Sometime you find good Walgreens sometime you find bed ones. This is in the list of good ones in my opinion. Well located , exactly in the Hallandale Blvd and easy to find. Big parking so you won't have problem to park and not that busy so you won't stand in line still for minutes but they are organized to make you pay what you buy in less than five minutes. They accept all kind of credit cards. I was looking (beside cigarette) for some chocolate bar and they have plenty of them but like a lot of them of the all kind. The automated prescription refill system is faulty; half the times prescriptions are not refilled and no trace of the request is ever found. The staff will not follow up on refill requests; the pharmacist said they have too many prescriptions to fill to worry about getting a faxed refill request from the doctor. Wait time to talk to anyone is excessive --- anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours. Again, the excuse is that they are "too busy". There is no follow up with an insurance issue; the pharmacy will fill the prescription and the patient has to pay full retail price. read more

This review is based in the pharmacy only. I live in Hollywood and work in Hallandale. I passed by at least 4 pharmacies in my way home. The pharmacist ladies at this location are knowledgeable and friendly; one of them in particular has a noticeable spirit of service. We take all our prescription here for loyalty since every time we need advice in counter products, Vanessa gives us great solutions (funny thing, two of them share the same name). For general products, Walgreens needs to work in their reward points/ coupons, the competition is doing great in that area. read more

I have been a loyal Walgreens customer for more years than I can even remember and I can honestly say this is undoubtedly the WORST Walgreens in existence. They simply do not have enough staff. There is always a tremendously long wait to check out. The pharmacy is absolutely the worst. The pharmacy staff is unfriendly and there are simply not enough of them working. The express pickup machines are broken half the time, so that doesn't help. I had a prescription to pick up tonight and actually had to leave without even getting it. This photo service is a disaster and the attendants could not care less for the customer. On Saturday 3rd morning i sent 100+ pics to be printed and collected at Walgreens 1300 Hallandale Beach Boulevard after 12:53pm as per receipt received a few minutes after posted. When i arrived at the store at around 2pm, the only thing the attendants would tell me was that they never received the order and there was nothing they could do. After me insisting that was nit possible and showing the receipt many times, one lady came in and passed the useless and completely w/o initiative attendant a phone number to call with whom i was already on line explaining the problem. The attendant on the phone said the only thing she could do was resend the order. I returned to the store at 6pm for a new attendant to tell me that she had just arrived, saw the order sitting in the system and started to print that minute; it would take 25 min, which i, beyond upset, could not wait. Finally i returned on Sunday at 4pm. Another extremely rude attendant collected The pics still sitting on the machine and told me he could not give me the promised discount as he knew nothing about it. When i finally open the pics pack, only 1/2 of the pics were there. To close the bad experience, on Sunday night, more than 36hs after the pics should have been ready, their system sends me a message saying pics are ready!!! after this i am moving to CVC will never step foot in your stores again or give you a cent of my money. read more

If I had been able to give ZERO stars, I would have. I've been filling my prescriptions at this Walgreens, 1300 E Hallandale Beach Blvd, for over 23 years, but in the past 2 years or so their customer service has fallen off so badly, I've moved my prescriptions to another pharmacy. The wait to pick up prescriptions is often longer than 10 minutes, and I have waited as long as 27 minutes, in line, at the store. I called one afternoon to refill a prescription, was told it would be ready in 45 minutes. I went to the store 90 minutes later, and it still was not ready. The next time, I was told 90 minutes, gave them over 3 hours, and it STILL was not ready for pickup when I arrived. It is chronically impossible to call them. I have waited on hold as long as 35 minutes; a 15-20 minute wait to speak to someone is not uncommon. About a month ago, I called the store. After approximately 15 minutes on hold, I left home to go to the store. Arriving at the store while still on hold, I spoke to a store manager. I showed her my phone displaying that I was on with Walgreens Hallandale, and she apologized half-heartedly and said there was nothing she could do. I called Walgreens' Customer Service phone number after being on hold for a full 90 minutes; no one ever answered at the store. The person to whom I spoke at Walgreens Customer Service also called the store and got no answer. I've called several times since then, have been told each time that I would be receiving a follow-up call within a couple of days, and never have been called back. Bottom line: take your business elsewhere. Walgreens, and especially this store, apparently does not need your business. read more

This Walgreens recently went through a remodel and it looks actually quite nice. The pharmacy is open 24 hours which is a great bonus and they even have a drive through. I don't come here often because we live in Lauderhill but we cruised by here late tonight when visiting some friends. It's clean and it seems to have anything you want. The only negative was the guy outside begging for change, which seems to be the norm in South Florida. read more

They told me that same story for 6 days straight until they finally said that they hadn't ordered it at all and they will order it manually so it can arrive tomorrow.... I made an account just so I can review this horrific Walgreens. I have lived in South Florida for 22 years and have visited many many Walgreens. I moved to Hallandale six months ago and this Walgreens is by far the worst WORST Walgreens I have ever been to. THEY ARE SO SLOW AND INEPT I MUST WAIT 25 MINUTES EVERY SINGLE TIME I GO AND THATS WITHOUT A LINE AND THEN MY PRESCRIPTION IS NOT READY OR THERE'S ANOTHER PROBLEM ETC. Every customer I see reacts the same way. There is only ONE person at the drive thru every time and half the time the speaker doesn't work so I can't hear. THE PRESCRIPTIONS ARE NEVER EVER READY AND THEY HAVE NO INVENTORY!!! No one seems to know what they are ever doing. I have never done this before so you can imagine how bad it is.
