Banner Deli is an oasis of sandwich normality in this area. What happened to all the delis in NJ?…read more They're disappearing like our diners, and it's a shame. I'm so glad I have Banner to rely on for my day to day breakfast and lunch needs. The crew working there are friendly and attentive. They make great sandwiches and breakfast food, and they have excellent fresh squeezed OJ and top notch deli coffee. I eat there regularly and they keep things neat and clean. They also feature a great selection of beer and liquor. Unlike all those fancypants alcohol purveryors in Bergen County, they sell BOTH liquor AND beer. I'm sick of having to go to multiple locations for my hooch. I also treat Banner as a convenience store, getting some basics like milk and cigarettes when I need them. Thanks to the staff for treating me so well all the time.

This is probably the best H Mart I've ever been to…read more We come to this H Mart pretty often because it's so nice. It has the best ever produce section of any grocery store I've been to in the New York City area. They have probably six different kinds of eggplants alone. You can get any kind of tropical fruit, any kind of citrus, any kind of grape, any kind of mango... Truly incredible produce. They also have an amazing seafood section. Live fluke, king crab, razor clams, abalone. They really have it all. If you come on a Saturday or Sunday, they have ladies making kimchi, Bulgogi, samples, fresh fruit samples, roasted sweet potatoes to buy. It's a fun environment to walk around in. The food court is a huge disappointment. But there's a great Korean restaurant named Soram next-door that we often have lunch at. Make sure to also visit D'Avant Bakery next-door and pick up a cube of their chestnut bread.

And this place delivered. One sign of a great bagel? When they taste different. The pumpernickel bagels had a nice toasty flavor. The everything had the seasoning infused in the bagel. The garlic was nice and garlicky (LOL!). And they toasted perfectly. A nice outer crunch while maintaining its doughy-ness on the inside. I'd definitely visit again. My son said this was a "dream bagel." My only complaint was that they were out of veggie cream cheese. How can that happen at a bagel shop? But otherwise, it was great.

Once I entered, I placed my order at the counter. The place is bright and has a few tables for indoor dining. I was able to get a seat in the front window. Got the BEC on a roll ($6.50) which was good but the bacon was lacking for me. The roll was soft and fresh. Hot coffee ($2.50) was solid. My friend got the sausage, egg and cheese on a roll which looked more filling. I will be back for the ice coffee and sausage, egg and cheese. I heard they use ice cubes made of coffee for their ice coffee. !! :) !! * Parking lot in back * Indoor dining available * Friendly service
