I have to write about employee George in the Fort Lee store. He is the best cashier I've ever seen. He is really friendly and helpful and so fast! He can check out a whole line of customers before the other cashiers check out one. George knows where every item is, not only what row, but even what shelf! His customers all love him. There is one African American lady in the front. She is so rude! She said the medication is not there but when another girl check it is there! I wish I could give it zero stars! Do not use this pharmacy for your medications. They are extremely unprofessional. If you call they put you on hold immediately without even saying "please hold". I waited on hold for 52 minutes today. All they can say is sorry we are busy. They didn't know I was in my way. Busy? They had 2 people in line and 3 people sitting there waiting and also annoyed. I counted 8 people "working" in the back, chitchatting away! This was their "busy". It was insulting and unfortunately it's like this every single time I go. I asked to speak to their manager and he ignored me and had someone else attend to me. Handed her my RX and didn't even make eye contact. My parents are ill so unfortunately I am there often. Wish I could have given zero stars. Walgreens really needs to go out of business or address the real issue when it comes to customer service. The pharmacy had a pharmacist and two technicians, but only one is helping customers, even though there were five customers in line that wasn't moving. So being second in line and waiting over 8 minutes, I asked for another staff member to help. The fact that a customer has to ask for more assistance when other staff is there, is unacceptable. Staff should know to help when multiple customers are in line. In any event, after a couple of minutes, the second pharmacy technician, let's call her Ms. Attitude (Black long hair, wears glasses, and was wearing blue scrubs) came up to the window taking her precious time, rolled her eyes, staring at me. I don't know her name cause she wasn't wearing a badge. So back to the eye rolling....I rolled my eyes back and finally she asked, "You need something?". I responded back asking her, "You don't know how to greet customers?". Then she replied by greeting me and asking me what I needed. If I could, I would b...h slap her a$$ all the way to the parking lot. This Walgreens has a lot to offer. For starters, it's a huge location with many household needs, cosmetics, food items, health needs, and a pharmacy. What makes it even better is that it's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! No location in this area has all that to offer AND is open when you need it to be. My go to Walgreens since it is in my area, but the experience I had this past weekend was a little off. I ordered a print online and they couldn't seem to find it. After waiting some time I asked if I can just come back and who I believe was the supervisor told me to re-order it and he would give it to me for free for the inconvenience when I returned. Well I returned and I didn't get it for free. It also took some time for them to find the order again. After giving them my number I repeated to both employees (prior experience) if I can give them my house line for the reason that my cell number was not coming up. Both did not acknowledge what I was saying. When I finally received the print, the receipt had my house line on it. (sigh) read more

This Walgreens is actually one of the worst ones I've been in. Starting with an employee, Juan Carlos, who is a cashier and always happens to be there whenever I am there. He is so slow at checking people out that he averages 3-4 minutes per person (I've timed it). It's even worse when he is the only cashier because a line will quickly build up and it can take 20-30 minutes to get to the front of the line if there are 5 people in front of you. One time, a female employee came over and started ringing people up as she saw the line was getting ridiculously long. Juan Carlos scoffed at her and said "what's the rush?". He might not be in a rush, but other people may be. Whenever I am there later at night, he is just sitting there on his phone with a depressed attitude. He just never seems to want to work. Another time, I found an item on Walgreens' website that was 1/3 of the price of what they were charging in store. I asked him if I could do a price match and he was quick to say no and said I'll have to order it online. I asked him if I order it for in-store pickup right now, could I just take the item from the store and count that as my pickup. He said yes, so I stood there awkwardly for the next 5 minutes trying to input my card number and everything to order it online. When I finally finished, I grabbed the item, went to the cash register area again, but got a different employee to ring me up. She said that I'd have to wait for my item to arrive at Walgreens and come back to pick it up and I could not take one from the shelf. After explaining the situation, she agreed that Juan Carlos should not have told me that I could do this. I decided to just go home and come back when the item has arrived. Later, I found out by looking at Walgreens' price match policy, that I CAN, in fact, do a price match to the price online. It seems that the employee was just lazy and did not want to do extra work. After my item arrived, I went to the store, and the lady looked everywhere but could not find the package that was received. I asked her if I can just take one from the shelf in the store and they can mark it as "picked up". She said of course, and let me go. This whole thing was such a waste of my time and Juan Carlos should have just price matched it for me from the beginning. Another time, after buying some milk, I asked Juan Carlos if he could double bag it so it doesn't rip. He had an attitude and then proceeded to slowly reach for the bag, slowly opened it up, and held it open while telling me to put the milk in the bag. Then, he printed the receipt and put it on the table for me to pick up when he could have just directly handed it to me or put it in the bag. I'm giving this store an extra star because the pharmacy employees are very friendly and are always very quick. If you need to quickly go in and out to buy something, don't go to this Walgreens. You will be very disappointed by the speed of the service. read more

The worst Walgreens I have ever dealt with. With a sick baby at home I called to find out if they have an item I know they carry in stock at the store. The employee who answered told me "no" without even knowing what the item is and certainly without knowing whether they have it in stock. When I insisted they at least look, I was left on hold for 10 minutes and then ultimately disconnected. I called back and was disconnected again. I finally called a third time and asked for a manager. I was put on hold another 10 minutes. I finally spoke to the shift manager who FOUND THE ITEM IN STOCK. This is a good, solid Walgreens. Keep in mind, you are less than a sixteenth of a mile from the GWB, you space is at a premium. You won't find roomy aisles here, but you really shouldn't expect them. The selection is the best of the three major drugstores. I think they have the greatest national presence, so this makes sense. Prices are better at Rite Aid with their "Wellness Rewards" program. (Rite Aid's 20% discount is a great deal). One great thing about Walgreens is that they carry Hallmark cards. Hallmark stores tend to be at malls and not that convenient. I really like their quality, so I am thrilled I can find it at Walgreens. If you don't live in Manhattan, or have a friend or loved one in Manhattan, here's something you may not know: The Walgreens parking lot is THE unofficial waiting area for passengers crossing the GWB from Manhattan. It just is Yes, they may ticket for parking here to shop elsewhere, but waiting in your car is fair game. When a bus arrives from NYC, the parking lot if flooded with passengers looking for their rides. I used to be one. Here's another little hit... This store is SUPER close to the GWB. If you are unfamiliar with the area, read the signage CAREFULLY. The first time coming here, I missed the sign and had to cross over the GWB (and pay the toll). Unless you are headed to Manhattan, "Martha Washington Way" is NOT your friend! read more

I begrudgingly give this place one star. We went for my daughter's passport photo and were told that the wait is normally 5 minutes but there was a large order ahead of us so it would be 20 minutes for our print outs. While we weren't thrilled to wait we figured it would be fine. Well 50 minutes later and after many assurances that it would just be another minute we still had no pictures. We asked to speak with the manager Hector who was essentially useless. He told us to come back or that he would call another store to see if their printer was working. Give me a break I can do that myself. He then tried to pass the blame on the employee (who I know felt helpless) that he kept telling her to tell us it would be a longer wait. This is so typical of these types of stores where management is basically powerless and not interested in helping the customer. Suffice to say we left with no passport photo and took our business down the street The Hub Printing Center. We were out in 10 minutes with excellent service. Not a fan of this place at all, never have been and never will be. Literally got dragged here last night to help my mom shop for last minute stocking stuffers. It is open 24 hours 7 days a week. We went around 11:30 at night. The up side was that there was parking available right in front of the store, unfortunately this is the only upside. The inside of the store is pretty bland along with being very messy and unorganized. We needed help finding a few items. There was only one person working and was he was unsure of where to find these items or if they even had anything available. The music that played in the store is just obnoxiously loud and uneven throughout the store which just drove me nuts. When it came to checking out it was an extremely slow process. I felt bad for the people behind me because we had quite a few items. To top it off, they asked my mom if she wanted a Walgreens card which she agreed to, did the whole process name, address, phone number etc just for them to say "oh in sorry we have no cards left" My opinion, go to a 24/7 CVS .. prices might be slightly higher but it will save you the aggravation of nobody being able to help you, the hassle of finding items and a smoother checkout experience read more

SO CONVENIENT!!!! It's open 24/7 which saved me so many times when I'm driving around the middle of the night for an emergency. There were even times where I was released from the emergency room at 3 am and needed prescription medication ASAP. I can't find any other pharmacy that is open 24/7 for your convenience in the area. Walgreens has better prices then CVS, Duane Reade, Rite Aid, and other drugstore chains in terms of certain merchandise so I recommend coming here if you want to save some money. Store was upgraded some years ago. It looks nicer, but the prices are still very high. Never enough help either at the front cashiers or at the pharmacy. I used to have my prescriptions filled here, but have changed to Acme across the street because Walgreens no longer delivers and Acme does. Also, the pharmacy staff was never very helpful or particularly courteous at Walgreens either in person or on the phone. They didn't seem to care that the lines were so long with people waiting to pick up a prescription. Not so at Acme Pharmacy. Extremely courteous and informative. read more

absolutely awful. ableist and demeaning pharmacy will try to make you feel crazy/ like an addict for demanding your medication when it's legitimately ready. extremely dismissive of customers just to keep the line moving, and as a result will actually make potentially dangerous mistakes. i was literally beginning to withdrawal from one of my meds after days of back and forth with the pharmacy's incompetence and my own doctor even got involved, and after calling TWICE one day to make sure the med was finally ready and standing in line for 30 minutes, i was told it actually wasn't ready?? At this point i grew assertive which I usually am not, and the second i put my foot down and demanded they check more thoroughly, the med was indeed ready. they just don't care enough to check and are understaffed, even though people use pharmacies for medications that their lives and livelihoods depend on. Every month when its time for refills, there is some issue or another. I've seen others deal with similar experiences (through countless hours in total ive spent on their line). do better. this is an essential field, so act like it. I recently went to this Walgreen to have a generic form of Maxitrol filled at this store. The pharmacy tech told me it would cost me $76.00. When I complained and ask if my triple A discount would lower the cost, she spent Five minutes checking the computer and gave me a new cost of $68.00. I declined and went to a Walmart pharmacy and the cost was just $4.00. Walgreens pharmacy hourly wages is the same or less than Walmart. How can they justify charging $ 68.00 for the same generic that only cost $4.00 at Walmart. read more

Walgreens is actually cheaper than Rite Aid, i figures that out by accident. I was looking for something and i stopped by both of them, and out of nowhere compared prices, and in conclusion Walgreens was cheaper. This particular Walgreens never has things i need, but it's open 24/7 and that can be pretty convenient for some people, its located in the small plaza, so they have normal size parking. They have bunch of candies and they always have decorative things for all the holidays. read more

Giving the stars because it's open 24hrs and some of the pharmacists I've dealt with were good but I haven't used the pharmacy in years due to a change in insurance. Didn't give more stars because the overnight manager is an absolute miserable unprofessional dbag who hates when people come into the store on his shift. He locked the door once and wouldn't let people in. It was urgent for me. I had to get some otc meds and bandages. After calling him from my car to explain my situation he reluctantly let me in. This manager huffs and puffs, stomps around with his nose in the air complaining about customers every time I'm there. Never says hello though I'm right in front of him. Furthermore, the security guards make me uncomfortable and the cashiers literally ring you up without a "hello" or "thank you, have a good night". Like complete silence the entire time. I am ethnic Korean. He's white. This is Fort Lee, NJ, 07024. I've also lived in Downers Grove, IL, 60515, where a younger white store clerk, always asked me "Can I help you find something?"
