I'm so glad I have Banner to rely on for my day to day breakfast and lunch needs. The crew working there are friendly and attentive. They make great sandwiches and breakfast food, and they have excellent fresh squeezed OJ and top notch deli coffee. I eat there regularly and they keep things neat and clean. They also feature a great selection of beer and liquor. Unlike all those fancypants alcohol purveryors in Bergen County, they sell BOTH liquor AND beer. I'm sick of having to go to multiple locations for my hooch. I also treat Banner as a convenience store, getting some basics like milk and cigarettes when I need them. It has the best ever produce section of any grocery store I've been to in the New York City area. They have probably six different kinds of eggplants alone. You can get any kind of tropical fruit, any kind of citrus, any kind of grape, any kind of mango... Truly incredible produce. They also have an amazing seafood section. Live fluke, king crab, razor clams, abalone. They really have it all. If you come on a Saturday or Sunday, they have ladies making kimchi, Bulgogi, samples, fresh fruit samples, roasted sweet potatoes to buy. It's a fun environment to walk around in. The food court is a huge disappointment. But there's a great Korean restaurant named Soram next-door that we often have lunch at. This has exchanged owners at least 3 times in the last 4 years, hopefully this time the current owners can make it work. The only thing I can't understand is the previous owners/establishment had a deli section. Now they do not, no cold cuts or salads. It was all there to have that available to customers, but they did away with it. Puzzling? Parking isn't an issue, for a small store there's plenty. The owners/staff are very courteous and helpful, I hope they succeed.
