This review is actually for an online purchase from costco.com and there are some pluses and…read moreminuses, but I've listed the review under our go-to Costco in Mount Prospect, for better or worse. Anyway, we knew what we wanted and decided to order a mattress from Costco as opposed to a regular mattress shop as we have always done previously. It was "just" for a guest room queen size mattress and we thought we would see what the experience might be like and we bought a decent looking hybrid firm queen mattress for $800 (listed prices include delivery). Scheduling was seamless and prompt and the deliverers arrived right within their 2 hour window 4 working days after the order. The mattress was nice and clean and new unlike poor experience from some low rated reviewers. The customer service issues we had was with the deliverers who turned out to be 2 younger guys that worked for Costco's sub-contractor Ryder Last Mile. They were friendly and polite, but the first thing was they didn't take their shoes off or use foot coverings. I didn't like that but also didn't say anything not knowing Costco practices. The other thing was when I said don't forget to take the old mattress, they said "you need to call Costco and they will send another truck for it". I was surprised as the Costco.com site specifically said mattress removal was included, but again being Costco, I gave them the benefit of my doubt. I asked them to at least take the mattress downstairs and leave it by the curb, and they complied. After they hurried off, my first thought was I'm glad I didn't tip them as I was going to do if they were nice and competent, but they didn't deserve anything anyway lol. I immediately called Costco.com to schedule the pickup and also complain about the lack of old mattress removal, and the empathetic rep on the phone agreed they should have done so, and he immediately called the management of the cited sub-contractor, who then immediately had the same crew come back and pick up the mattress which they did within an hour. The Costco leverage and quality control really shined then as we have come to expect. In a second later phone call, I called back to complain and pass on customer feedback about their sub not respecting property with their lack of shoe coverings, and again another empathetic Costco.com rep agreed. He also then nicely offered a $50 credit to our account for the bit of trouble and I thought that was a nice touch and again befitting of Costco quality control. Anyway, overall, and despite the mixed experience, we're quite pleased with the Costco.com purchase here.

The hotdog tastes fresh, the bun is soft, and the overall combo hits the spot when you're hungry and just want something quick and satisfying. Even though I wasn't there to do a full shopping trip, everything I saw was clean, well organized, and well maintained. The aisles looked stocked, and the store had a nice layout that made it easy to get around. The visit was quick, but it left a great first impression. I'll definitely have to come back sometime to do more shopping. Based on what I saw, this seems like a well-run store that's worth visiting.

However, the pharmacist could not have been nicer and accommodating. She brought us into a private room and gave my son a pharmacist costume if he got the shot along with several lollipops. We also got 10% off coupons for groceries, which was perfect timing with the holiday that week. The shot was over before we knew it and successful! The grocery store is also large! It has a wide variety of beer and liquor and a huge bakery. The customer service in the pharmacy, checkout and front counter were all exceptional.

There are two lanes for dropping off prescriptions and only the close lane to pick up. It's easy to conduct your business in privacy, not that there's anything remotely interesting about my prescriptions. The staff and pharmacists are always helpful and pleasant, and alternate in-store customers and drive-thru pretty evenly. Most times I am the only customer in the drive-thru. No shoes, no shirt, no service? Doesn't apply here. (Although you probably should wear a shirt)

Am I sure this was the right location etc. etc. etc.. However, after realizing that all you need to do is walk and go directly to the counter because I'll pick up orders are locked up behind the counter, made it easier in subsequent visit and also made my in and out of the store much faster. I like this location because it is located in the mall with lots of parking that is free and as busy as the store might get, you can still come in and out as quickly as you like The staff here every time I've been here there's a lot of them so I'm assuming if you spend time in here they'll be helping you

So much so that I would like action to be taken against this employee. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but this is not the first time that he has treated my sister and I this way. Immediately when we walked into this store, he practically told us to get out. This employee never acknowledges us. I simply asked if we could purchase IL scratch-off lottery tickets. I was immediately told in a very aggressive tone that lottery is closed. I can use the machine. Trust me, I would have preferred to use the machine, but the ticket I wanted was behind the register. I then asked why scratch-off lottery was closed and he yelled that they close at 9? Still prompting for an explanation, as I knew that you could purchase and redeem lottery scratch-off tickets, until 2am, he simply screamed that it was closed and to get out. (askinglot.com). At this point I began to videotape because I was that upset. I proceeded to ask to speak to a manager and he said, get out, you can come back in the morning. I asked if I could give him/her a call and he refused. In the meantime, my sister wanted to check out an item she won through your current Fuel Runner promotion. He did finally check her out but was not happy about it. In fact, he mentioned under his breath that you only come in here to get everything free! Yes, we do come in because this is the only location near us, to redeem our promotion earnings, but if they did not want to honor these, they should not be a Circle K Franchise. This is simply unacceptable as nobody should be treated this way, especially as a customer. To make matters worse, I stopped back in this evening 4/28 at 8:30 p.m. to purchase the scratch-off tickets. It was a different clerk, so I asked him what time they stop selling scratch-offs behind the counter. He told me never. You can purchase those 24/7! So, here in lies my point. Absolutely ridiculous.
