After our Sunday Funday at the beach, we stopped at this Walgreens. Mainly went to get some drinks as we had a 40+ minute drive home and it was hotter than a sauna outside. Yay summer coming early! Overall this is a good Walgreens that has everything that you would want. However, on multiple occassions I have gone in and there was nobody at the register. This generally seems to happen on a Friday or Saturday night. It becomes my responsibility as the customer to find the solo associate at the store who is often stocking shelves, and tell her to go behind the register to check me out. That is bad enough, but it is always the same associate who seems very irked that I actually want to purchase something and leave the store. The fact that there is only one associate working there at said times is on the corporation, but he attitude is on her. It is a bad look all the way around, but given that I generally go there just to buy milk and maybe something else, it isn't worth going elsewhere, but it is not the best look for sure. read more

Pharmacy: Came here for 2nd booster. I made an appointment for a Saturday morning which I was 15 mins early for. I filled out paperwork online as instructed but had to do it again on paper when I got there. Then was told to wait 5 mins. 30 minutes pass and nothing. When I asked, the pharmacist was pretty flustered and told me they don't have anymore shots. This is my neighborhood Walgreens...and this sucks. read more

My experience here was just ok. I went with my spouse to get his prescription filled. Ok, they requested permission to text me when it was ready. 30 min later, I get the text, finish my workout across the street at the gym, then go to Walgreens to retrieve my script. It wasn't ready. I then get another text, not ready. Finally it is ready. After picking it up I get addl. and multiple texts, a computer phone call, and a email. ...just too much. The system needs an upgrade. On the positive side, the pharmacist Cathy was very friendly, but over-worked. Constantly on the phone, then computer, then drive-thru, phone again, etc. She needs more staff assistance. This place sucks. Pharmacy is horrible. Switched all my scripts out. But just went in to grab a few items 2 marked 2 for 7 . I asked the cashier are those 2 for 7 .. she said yes there on sale got home looked at the receipt was charged 12 dollars. I'm so done with this dump and their careless employees . I'll never go to any walgreens ever again. Every employee could care less about doing their job correctly and taking care of customer....I was the only one in the store. One of the more poorly run Walgreens. Well that's not really fair. The retail area is fine and the liquor store is good. The pharmacy is the issue. The drive through wait can be up to 1/2 hour. Often there is just one girl trying to handle the counter and drive though. Who knows where the pharmacist is. Just cross the street and go to CVS for prescriptions. Slow, no customer service ans did I mention slow at the window. I was told to come back an hour 1/2 and I did and still not ready. It was just eye drop medication. Just don't waste or time. If you go into the store just forget it. Shelves aren't stocked. Go to CVS. Oh and did I mention I had to get out of line and come back in line and then she tells me they don't have it at that location. This is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever used. I have lived in East Deerfield Beach for over 10 years and my house is 1 mile away from this Walgreens. I get my scripts sent to the Walgreens in Lighthouse Point over 7 miles away because this pharmacy is just awful. The pharmacists there are always very rude & so are the pharmacy technicians. They are always out of stock regardless of what the medication is. I had back surgery among others and it was hard for me to travel in a car, they refused to fill my script for pain medication. I called corporate and complained because I was treated so poorly when I went to drop off my script - the pharmacist threw the script in my face and said "we don't carry this here". I told corporate and they assured me it would never happen again. I tried to get my script filled the next month & same story, pharmacist said "it's out of stock". Obviously done on purpose. My wife's doctor sent in 2 scripts for antibiotics this morning, we have been calling and waiting all day to pick up her meds & calling Walgreens to verify if they had the scripts. Walgreens kept saying they didn't have the scripts that were sent in.. I had the electronic signature from my doctor to prove they were sent in and all my wife got after waiting hours for antibiotics was more attitude from the pharmacist & staff. She asked her doctor to call in her scripts to CVS across the street. Within 5 minutes my wife received a courtesy call saying her scripts were ready. This specific location is horrendous, I feel so uncomfortable using that pharmacy that I literally drive almost 7 miles out of my way to use a different location. It's been 10 years plus and nothing has changed. There's a reason this Walgreens has 1.5 stars. Steer clear from this location, do yourself a favor. read more

What a shame that my insurance company now makes me use Walgreens. I have used CVS for years with no problems and since switching over I have had nothing but attitude from the staff at the Walgreens on E. Hillsboro Blvd. in Deerfield Beach. Every person in the pharmacy has an attitude. The pharmacist acts like he is doing me a favor and the people ringing me up just grunted and acted nasty. I use them because of the convenience of the drive through and the proximity to my house, but not sure it's worth the aggravation. If they are so miserable in their jobs maybe they should find new positions and not take it out on the customers. So disappointing!! read more

I have been using WALGREENS for several years when they were located by Home Depot the pharmacist Demaris was always knowledgeable about my prescriptions Sergio the assistant also knew me by name they relocated to Powerline and Hillsboro and have become a pharmaceutical disaster ,long waits prescriptions not ready out of stock always blaming the insurance company this pharmacy needs new management. The worst Walgreens I have ever been to. Pharmacy is a complete mess. 4 times they have lost my prescription. 3 times my dr. had to call it and fax it back in because they claim they never received it. I've had to hang up at least three separate times after being on hold for over 20 minutes my doctors claim the same thing when calling in the prescription they said they had not received which they were sent. The photo department has lost her pictures twice in the personnel working that department have not been thoroughly trained which makes it an entire nightmare when trying to have anything done which most is basic. They need a management overhaul! read more
