The ladies working in cosmetics are the best! They're always genuinely interested in what they're doing, eager to help and GREAT at finding good deals! These girls are the best and I feel they really live up to their job title and Walgreens friendly neighborhood reputation. Another great employee is the (manager?) in the pharmacy dept. Anyway- he's a larger guy, dark hair and baldish on top. See him for all your needs! He's caring and very knowledgeable. Also has always been very patient when I've had insurance issues, which I don't tend to hand too well and get fussy with ;( but he remains polite at all times and I never feel rushed! However, I have a HUGE gripe with other employees in the pharmacy. Two younger women in particular- they need to review HIPAA desperately! These two have no idea how to be discreet or confidential with medical information! They will loudly shout out to their coworkers what prescription I'm needing to pick up or waiting on. WOAH! I've complained before, but these two just don't catch on. I'm not ashamed of anything I'm prescribed, but the point is that my medications don't need to be hollered out for everyone to hear! Privacy, people! Take a cue from your coworkers and hush up sometimes! read more

A study should be done about how this pharmacy is run- important medications are never in stock and they straight up don't let you know until it's too late and you've wasted time with a "delay" or stuck on hold forever. read more

After waiting an extremely long time for someone to answer the phone, Pharmacy Operations Mgr. Jesenia was rude and condescending to me throughout the phone call. My doctor sent in a new 3-month Rx in late Dec. 2025. Walgreens would have it ready in early Jan. Cost was $0. The Rx was cancelled/sent back last week. Now Walgreens will fill it again -- at a cost of $500+. I asked Walgreens to reverse their previous transaction instead of filling as a 2026 Rx (it was already listed in my 2025 insurance records online). This pharmacy is extraordinarily inconsistent in the service it provides. I have had many prescriptions--that were supposed to be available for pick up--either not filled, partially filled, not in stock or haven't been ordered yet. This is after I have called their automated system to confirm that the prescription was ready. The most galling aspect of this is when the pharmacist/pharmacy technician just kind of shrugs and lets you know that you have to come back another time. Really? Come back another time? My time is valuable and finite. I don't really have the time to run back and forth to your pharmacy. I would absolutely shake this off If this was a one time error. However, this is a regular and continuing problem with this locale. Perhaps someone in corporate could give them a ring to read them their mission statement? You are a pharmacy...you sell drugs...you fill prescriptions...you provide a valuable service. You need to get with the program pronto, or just shut the doors and call it a day already. read more

I had horrible service from a pharmacy technician/cashier at the 6310 N Nagle location on Sat Sept 9 10am. I came in 15 minutes early for a vaccination appointment which I scheduled for 3 people-myself and my two children ages 6 and 4. As soon as I came up to the cashier she had extreme attitude with me. She turned around to the pharmacist and said "Do we even do vaccines for 4 year old's?" She continued to be extremely rude. We then all went into the little room and she forced me and both of my children to put on masks. She had disposable masks in her hand and shoved them at us and wouldn't let us in without them. My 6 year old wears glasses and his glasses fog up with masks. She would not give him the shot unless his mask was over his nose, she kept scolding him to put up his mask. She was very rude and cold to my whole family, and children can pick up on these things. She never greeted us or said any niceties to us. My 4 year old was then very scared and felt very uncomfortable because he never wears a mask and this mean lady was forcing us to. He cried and didn't want to get his shot. This lady said "I can get my pharmacist but she will just tell you to hold him down." I had about enough of this woman so I told her yes I would rather have your pharmacist and I would rather wait for her. This tech/cashier should not be giving shots nor should she really be working with the public at all due to her bad attitude and lack of customer service skills, and furthermore Walgreens cannot and should not be forcing their customers to mask in September 2023. This is illegal and this cannot be tolerated. I would not recommend anyone come to Walgreens for a vaccine. Lesson learned- I will only be going to the pediatrician and real medical facilities for vaccines. read more

So I been going to this pharmacy for years it's had it's ups and downs. But since they got a new pharmacist. Wow she and the staff are amazing and on point. They always greet you with a smile. Try to get you in and out in a professional and personal manner. There are times when they are super busy but they still try to take their time with every customer and ensure everything is correct and right before they leave I feel like a valued customer when I deal with them and that means a lot to me thank you for the hard work everybody. read more

This store used to be open 24 hours up until maybe 2 years ago. This was my go-to store for middle of the night necessities but now it closes at 10pm or midnight. That's a real shame for us night owls. Besides that, the place is usually very well stocked, very clean and the employees are very helpful in locating hard-to-find items. One of the nicer Walgreens I've been to. It's my neighborhood Walgreens. It's quite comforting to know that they are opened late if you need to pick up some things after a late shift at work. They have pretty much anything you need. But their frozen food section is always on the fritz. The freezer keeps breaking down. Their pharmacy can be kind of slow at times. Also I don't know if this is all locations but their POS systems don't allow you to make multiple card transactions. You cant have your payment split. Not a huge deal but with today's modern technology you should be able to. read more

I can't believe the incompetence that runs this pharmacy. Communications from the supportive staff and the pharmacist are completely absent. It's like there is no experience of how to provide the very basic customer service. The pharmacist there has no idea what he is doing or just horrible at problem solving. One simply does not put aside an important medication in the computer without notifying a customer when it's not in stock. One does not simply fill one dose of a 5-day pre-package treatment and still not able to fulfill the remainder of the treatment 3 days later; the entire treatment plan is no longer effective. The pharmacist needs to grow up and learn how to communicate with their customers as well as the providers and know when to transfer the order when it's not in stock!! Avoid going there at all cost to fill your medication. No one should be going through what my patients went through with this pharmacist at this location. Definitely will not recommend to anyone to get their medication there. read more

Let me tell you about my 2 min exchange at this location. I walked in at about 12.01am. I had no idea the store closes at midnight. I am not normally out shopping at Walgreens this late, but I was desperate to get some Benadryl bc of an allergic reaction I was having. I was literally in my coat and pajamas. So....the doors were open and I walked into the store. The register was not closed. The cashier was ringing up a customer. She looked startled--and told me "The store is closed". If they were counting out the register, I wouldn't have asked this---but since she was still helping this guy, I said--I just need Benadryl, can I please just grab it? She had this look of fear on her face---and said, my manager, won't let you. Then she added, he was supposed to lock the doors. I said--can you get your manager, I just need some Benadryl. It's 12.02 am now. The manager (short brown-skin male)---comes from the back. He's high tailing it toward me. I ask him if I can grab some Benadryl. And not only did he tell me, NO, but he was also a dick about it. He came rushing at me fast---his hands flailing and motioned at me to GTFO. He said, no, we are closed--and motioned at me in a sweeping manner. I think the cashier knew her manager was going to be a jack-ass to me. At 12.03 am, I left What a terrible manager and person. He did not assess the situation. I get it, the store was supposed to be closed at midnight. But he was the one that did not lock the doors and they still had a customer. I was clearly not a panhandler or a punk teen needing Hot Cheetos and an Arizona at midnight. The panhandler that is outside their doors every day badgering customers is treated better than a mom in her pajamas looking for some allergy relief. Looking back, I think the cashier knew her manager was going to be a dick. I was there for medical help and he turned me away. He's damn lucky things didn't get serious with this allergic reaction. This just solidifies what I have known for quite a while---time to stop patronizing Walgreens. I live just as close to CVS....where there are no homeless ppl bothering you. So, tomorrow, I am moving my prescriptions for me and my whole family to CVS. read more

Don't bother attempting to speak to the Pharmacy Dept. to schedule any vaccine. And don't bother trying to book a flu vaccine appointment online. Their phone connection is an incredibly long wait, and then when it clicked through, I want hung up on. And their online site, after I toggled through their Qs, appointment date/time, came up with a "This service is temporarily not working." What a waste of time. Go to CVS or somewhere else. read more

Great place to stock up on Pedialyte before a weekend of partying because they always have it in stock. They have great seasonal clearance deals at the end of every holiday and everything in the store is super easy to find, plus they are opened on holidays. The store is very clean and the employees are super friendly and helpful if I have any questions. The Walgreens app makes it super easy to see which stores have items I want in stock and you don't have to bring your rewards card with you because on the app you can just press the rewards button and hold it up for the cashier to scan it. read more

ZERO STARS!!!! This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. After waiting for a prescription for 45 minutes, with only one person in front of me, I went up to the window to check the statues. It had been sitting there ready for pick up all along. No one called out to even let me know. Then I get home and get the medicine ready to give to my 4 year old son and the directions state to give him 2.5 tablets by mouth twice a day for five days. That's five tablets a day. The only problem is that they only gave him 5 tablets. So I call his doctor and they say his prescription is only a half tablet twice a day for five days. Long story short, if I wasn't an attentive person my son could have overdosed by their rookie mistakes. I called and got some pathetic response as to how mistakes happen and they can just reprint the label for me. REALLY, you almost cause my son to overdose on medication and all you say is I can give you a new label. Some body needs to loose a certification over this!!!!!!!! read more

At Walgreens pharmacy on Nagle Ave in Chicago. Most incompetent staff. Pharmacy has no idea what is going on. After calling with ready prescription, it is now not ready and I need to wait as they relook up, recall doctor. Horrible customer service, no formal training of pharmaceuticals. HORRIBLY TRiAINED STAFF. BEWARE OF THE PHARMACY. I was in need of a minor's dose of a shot, and they charge me more than the full dose!!! I explained to them several times that this was incorrect, and they continued to tell me that they knew how to do their jobs. After paying full price, my daughter received the shot. We then googled the shot prices on the walgreens website and we were right! We were charged double!! We went back and after several agruments and about 30 wasted minutes, the poor manager was so confused that he just offered to return the extra money I had paid. The slick pharmacy sold me a useless, plastic breathing tube that is supposedly to be used with inhalers. This was included in the doctor's order and was slid in among prescriptions. Insurance doesn't cover this because they know it's unnecessary. Inhalers come with plastic tips and are sufficient for 99.9% of cases. The kicker is that the pharmacy wouldn't allow me to return the $24.00 piece of plastic, even though it was in its original packaging. Slick move Walgreens. Slick move. read more
