Medication nazis. Multiple times they've given me a hard time about filling a script for pain meds. Once one suggested I try codeine instead. I can't take codeine and I trust my actual DOCTOR more than a pharmacy person. Now they insisted on calling the prescribing Dr. then lectured me for 20 min - talking to me like I'm a 5 yo. Respect goes both ways. I wish I could change pharmacies but my insurance forced me to deal with these jerks. read more

My insurance forced me to switch to Walgreens last year. I have had nothing but problems with this store the entire time. Pharmacist Melissa filled every single one of my scripts in the transfer EXCEPT for my birth control. I guess she doesn't agree with it. That's the only answer I can come up with. It took a week to get it. This is the worst pharmacy. My husband had dental surgery last month, 4/2023. The pharmacy was closed because the there was no pharmacist on duty so he wasn't able to get his pain medicine for 11 hours. That's how long it took to transfer it to a different store. This is the 4th time I have encountered this problem in 10 months. Then I had surgery today and the staff told my husband they WOULD NOT fill my pain script. He had to call the surgeons office who then had to call them and yell at them. Ban Walgreens. Especially this one. read more

This happened to me at a Walgreens in Chandler AZ. I went in with my stepdaughter who is white, (I'm black). She's taller than me, and 17. I'm 30. I got myself a bottle of wine and she was with me. He asks for both of our ids. I say the wine is for me, she's my daughter. He says I'm sorry I can't sell to you. I gawked and we left. Ridiculous. There isn't a ton to say here because this is a Walgreens. However, with that being said, the staff is always super friendly and the store is always clean and well-stocked. The pharmacy has a drive-thru which too which is nice. Oh, and their liquor section is legit! read more

I can't take it. I live nearby and the evening checker, an older man, should NOT be working alone. 8 people in line and no one to call to help up front. Two people left, I almost did. And you know, this has been going on for several years now. Even the other employees wonder how he stays on there. Ok, no one should get fired, but put him in a position with less pressure. Went to pick up 3 prescriptions today at 4 pm. Sign at drive thru said pharmacy is closed, no pharmacist on duty and gave location of 2 nearby ppharmacies. No mention about when this pharmacy would re-open. I experience delays getting prescription due to them needing to order drugs so I did NOT want to start over. Plus I was going to pick up a prescription for my son. I had received a reminder email to pick up one medication this morning. So they can communicate when it meets their needs. I will try to contact them again tomorrow. I went online and called with no luck today. Online told me I could start over with another pharmacy. Looks like they had some emergency but didn't handle it well. read more

I will not be returning to the store that welcomes Covid carriers and non-mask wears. Possible slogans for this branch: If you wanna party down and enjoy the freedom of no masks and infecting employees and other people, you should go to this Walgreens! Poster for Trump! Have a jam session with the coughing sitters! If you catch my drift, this store does not ask people not wearing a mask to leave. I am super happy that I will probably be infected by a virus, because this franchise owner does not care about his employees, or his customers. In fact, he welcomes it apparently. After speaking to one employee and asking why the man in front of me was not wearing a mask, she responded by telling me they can't do anything about it. Changing my review of this store...when I had an issue the store manager Don called me back the very next morning and addressed it right away. He was very professional, friendly and understanding. I have worked retail jobs with store managers that were horrible, and I can say would have never bothered to deal with the situation, let alone call the customer back that quickly, so I am very appreciative of how this was handled by him! read more

If you need something quick, then come here for (A) Vitamin Water (B) Water (C) 6-Pack of Beer. The exterior of the place usually has a bunch of punk teens hanging around or hobos and the parking lot is somewhat seedy if you park around the corner. The store itself has the typical Walgreens goods so that you can be assured of. Prices are typical nothing special. The alcohol section does the trick if you need something fast. At least you can buy, Water, beer, and tylenol all in the same place. read more

This Walgreens deserves a much better review. This is a location that I frequent for last minute beer runs and occasionally cosmetics and cold medicine and other last minute necessities. I have always had good service here. The cashiers are always friendly whether it be 4pm or 11pm. One of the night manager's is especially friendly and I will have to get his name on my next visit so I can update it on here. He deserves a call out for good service. One of the cashiers named Cat is also especially helpful and friendly. I'm not sure if management has changed since 2011 when the other reviews were written but this location has stepped it up. It's been a long time since I've seen a Walgreens with a full liquor section. I thought those had gone the way of the Walkman. We were instantly greeted upon entering the store - a nice touch and when I asked someone stocking shelves for help finding what I needed he cheerfully stopped to help me and even asked if there was anything he could help me locate. The pharmacist changed my prescription and treated me like a child. I have never in my life been treated this poorly by a pharmacy. Stay away from these people, they do not know what they are doing. On the 21st after my Dr.'s apt I went to get a RX filled. I had to go to 4 different Pharmacies. 1 was 3 hr wait, 1 had partial fill, 1 was out and last one was out as well. The 5th one on Chandler between Kyrene and Ray I went through the drive thru. I gave them the script and said "this is my 5th tru. I was 100% honest. I even told them where I had been & one was another Walgreens. It was for Valium which is a hard drug to keep in stock. They gave it back and said it to early? I asked why? They said I filled the same on the 26th of February. It was t true. I had the same filled on the 21st of February. I thought maybe Feb a Short Month was the issue but now. The Pharmacist flat out lied or wasn't capable of using their own system correctly. I asked what where they talking about and that's not true. The girl (not the pharmacist, coward) came back and said that between that and the fact I was Pharmacy hopping they wouldn't fill my prescription. I TOLD THEM WHY I HAD BEEN TO 4 PHARMACIES PRIOR! I wasn't RX hopping. The girl said sorry. That was that. The Pharmacist was unprofessional, lied, misrepresented Walgreens, and labeled me something I am not. I went back to the o e Pharmacy who had the partial and I have to get the rest today & I told them what happened. They were like "it isn't in the system as the 26th. You are exactly on the right day and as for RX hopping that's insane. Pharmacies are out of drugs and this should be understood not blamed on customers. So stay away from this place. I read other posts and people have had issues with this person. What a small person they must be to try and feel better about themselves by trying to show power over others like this. Not going back there except with my 2/21/20 pill bottle and ask why they thought it was the 26th? I'd like to hear what they say and I'll record it. I'll post what happens. read more

The only reason I continue to patronize this location is that it is located within a mile of my house. The new Walgreens on Kyrene is much better stocked and doesn't have the shady characters and teenagers hanging out in the parking lot. Even some of the cashiers at this location look a little sketchy. The pharmacy staff is extremely slow and incompetent. The have a variety of food stuff but I don't trust any of it since I have inadvertently bought spoiled milk here twice. Really the only thing I get here now is booze on the weekend or candy for the movies. read more

I am so impressed with the pharmacy staff at this location!! They consistently exceed my expectations. For example, today I went to another Walgreens (Kyrene/Ryan) which never seems to have any of the medications in stock that I need, so I had them transfer my prescription to Rural/Chandler. Crystal the Rx Manager had my prescription bagged and ready for pick-up before I even arrived which was less then a 5 minute drive away. They have done this numerous times for me in the past as well. I have never been in the store only the drive-thru, but the Pharmacy staff is friendly, quick, thoughtful, precise, professional, and knowledgeable!! 5-Stars. I cannot thank them enough for helping my family with our health! They will be my pharmacy of choice for all my prescriptions from now on! :) read more
