Which was a…read morebummer to me because I was hoping to not make multiple stops to get things I needed to take back to my cabin. But I think I was expecting too much from a gas station. Because other than not having the specific things I came in for, this BFS itself is nice! There's a huge walk-in beer cooler, a wine section and a selection of liquor. There are also two little restaurants inside -- Little Caesars and Subway. Which is convenient for people who enjoy those restaurants. BFS is a local gas station slash convenience store, with locations all around West Virginia. I had to look up what BFS stands for, because I kept hoping it would be an initialism for Best Friend Store, because that would be cute. It's just Bruceton Farm Service. That makes more sense but is also not at all cute.

False advertising in the worst way because when you point it out to the clerk they just look at you like you're speaking Greek. Y'all need better training! And the managers are no help, and it turns out the manager's manager is also no help. No one employed with this company can figure out how to price match their own shelf prices. It's ridiculous...

I would give this place six stars if I could. I can't believe I've driven by it for years,…read morepossibly decades, and never knew what was inside. In fact, I'm pretty sure I've stopped her to get gas before and knew about the liquor store but had no idea about the pepperoni roll bakery hidden inside! Pepperoni rolls are near and dear to my heart. They are comfort food from home. I have rarely found them outside of West Virginia so when I visit I pretty much eat a pepperoni roll diet for a week. The pepperoni rolls here are a bit different. They are soft and light and fluffy. Most of the ones I find are made from a thicker bread that's heavy and dense. I find the pepperoni and cheese ratio in these to be perfect. Not too much of any one ingredient. I tried the special of the week which was Crab Rangoon and I wish I didn't--not that it was bad, it just wasn't a real pepperoni roll. Then of course I got a regular one and a jalapeño one. My son got one regular and as we at them in the car he asked if he could have another so I gave him my card and back he went. They were about $4.50 each. Later when we came back through town after going to Blackwater and Douglas Falls, he asked for yet another and of course I obliged. I took mine to Blackwater Falls and ate it there. Nothing like enjoying West Virginia's most iconic waterfall while eating its most iconic food (sorry WV Slaw dogs). The liquor store here is convenient. Prices were only slightly marked up except on one bottle. The distillery and other stores have it for $65-69 and they had it for $110. I would have purchased it for the real retail price. They had a great selection of WV bourbons which was very nice. We will definitely be stopping here now each time we pass through, especially since Hellbenders closed.

Our conclusion: MT Top Convenience serves World' Best Pepperoni Roll. We may visit several times a year, and encourage others to do on-line orders.

Well, if you're here reading this you likely also made the mistake of not stopping earlier. Can…read moreconfirm Wildcat is the only food market within an hour + radius. We brought some food up from home, but stopped here to get a few things to get us through the weekend. Wildcat is definitely more of a convience store than a grocery market. The options were limited, but there's definitely enough to get you by! (Granted if you're a vegetarian that's a different story). Pricing is definitely expensive, but what really got me was that there's no prices on the items in the store!! Nor can you see the cost per item when they're ringing you up. Had I not read these reviews I def would've had more sticker shock when it came time to check out. The last review outlining what the store had in stock is a bit dated so I'll update yall who are reading this in 2024 - this is a list of what I remember seeing - Fridge items: Meats (chicken, ground beef, steak, etc), milk, creamer, eggs, sliced turkey/ham, sliced cheese, yogurt, soda, juice, & beer (have beer den) Frozen items: frozen pizzas, pizza bites, pot pies, meatballs, broccoli, green beans, other frozen/steam veggies, chicken/veggie pasta options Shelf items: lots of chips/snacks, bread (white and honey wheat), pasta sauce, pasta, soups, ramen, on/jelly/nutella, etc

It is closer to being a convenience store than it is to being a grocery store. What I wished somebody else would've done in other reviews before I came here was to list some of the items to be found here, so that's what I'm doing now-- There is hardly any fresh produce. What was there was: oranges, bananas, blueberries, apples, avocado (presliced and sealed), peppers, tomatoes, baby carrots, lemons/lime. There are eggs, but they are $4 a dozen. There's butter, cheese (no fancy cheese to go with wine, though), milk, yogurt, some meat (pork chops, chicken breasts, NY strip steak, bacon, bologna). There's a variety of ice cream. For pantry items: an assortment of chips and snacks, oatmeal, canned beans and other canned items. I was not impressed with the bread selection (lots of white and some honey wheat). There's bagels, but its $7.50 for a bag. There's stuff for baking- sugar, flour, etc. There's wine and beer, like others have mentioned. I was hoping for some fresh local goods, like pies or breads, but there's none of that to be found here. There are also some basic items you find in convenience stores- toiletries, plastic plates and utensils, toilet paper, paper towels, foil, plastic wrap, ziploc bags.
