It was a beautiful day so we spent time at the outdoor pool. The pool is perfect! They have waiter service so you can get poolside drinks, snacks, and smoothies. When it was time to head in we put our robes and headed to the waiting area. The interior of the spa walking to the treatment room was beautiful. The water features are beautiful. They also have crystals all over the ceiling. My masseuse told me they literally take them down a few times a year and bury them to charge them. I'm not very into crystals, but if you are, I imagine this is something you would certainly appreciate. I really enjoyed every minute of my massage! This was probably one of the more expensive massages I have had, but if you arrive early or stay late and make the most of the spa it feels more worth it. The only room I feel like could have used an upgrade was the spa waiting room. I think some additional snacks and tea options would go far to just making the whole experience. I would certainly head back into the spa again the next time I'm at Nemacolin.

Gratuity is added already but you can adjust after your service accordingly. Pros: very friendly staff, locker areas are clean. Showers are cleaned quickly after patrons use them. All the amenities you need to freshen up are provided and the robes are OH so soft. When you book a service, you have access to the pool, saunas and whirlpool. There is also a fireside lounge on the third floor where you can also reserve to relax in. Kim, the aesthetician that gave me my facial took the time to explain everything, was very thorough in evaluation of my skin and took my concerns in mind in her treatment. She didn't rush the appointment and made honest recommendations without trying to sell me any products. She was great! They have biologique recherche products, which provides another type of facial experience. Cons: really not too much. Would be nice to have a common waiting are for men and women, especially a couple waiting for treatments. Men's steam sauna was broken at the time. For the women's, there was a strong smell of chlorine in the Eucalyptus steam sauna. For such a luxury place, felt like these small details add up when you are paying 600+ for experiences. That was an immediate red flag for me. I found the rooms to be extremely outdated and our tub was cracked. The very first day we used the pool and my husband flicked someone else's band aid out of it. We continued to go to the pool the next 2 days and the band aid remained on the pool deck. Does anyone clean?! So gross. There were several things to do at the resort but everything comes at a price. We were disappointed that the boat rides are only on the weekend so we couldn't do that. We also tried to get spa appointments and they didn't have any availability until after we were gone. I was confused what the resort fee was actually for on the bill. This was just a regular hotel if you ask me. The one super awesome part of Stonewall is the lake. Beautiful view of the water at all times. Super peaceful! That was a major plus but we most likely will not be returning.

I was 30 minutes early but still waited an additional 40 minutes. Other customers were left unattended in the spa chair. One sweet lady had waited so long she threatened to leave AND had been phoned to come in AND the tech who phoned her did not remember calling her! I didn't see any licenses on display - a mechanic could have been doing my service. It certainly felt that way. Numerous times I had to ask my tech to be more careful. I have NEVER had a pedi that left my toes painful to the touch. I have one finger that is so sore under my nail because the tech cleaned under the nail not paying attention to the tool she grabbed. She said she's been there 3+ years? How? Zero time management. The plate of food was a nice touch, but I'd trade that for a more professionally ran spa. No tub liners were used, my tools were not opened in front of me - I'm not even sure they were sterilized. The salon wasn't dirty, but it did look cluttered, messy, and disorganized. TS was my fourth nail salon to try in Fairmont. The previous three were just as bad or worse. I was told TS was the best in Fairmont. I hope not, or I'll be trying salons in a whole different city. The tech did do a good job. I mean, my nails look nice. But the entire experience was not worth $100+. Honestly. My appt was at 1:45. I didn't leave until close to 5. My entire afternoon was shot. I will not be going back to the nail salon.

I was greeted by a lovely lady named Mary who was very kind and interested in what I wanted to have done with my hair. Then Heather walked up. I should have run on first sight. She was so completely disheveled, hair all over the place and wearing an apron covered with color stains. I used to be a salon receptionist, and the ladies at that salon did colors and worked with chemicals all day, and they never wore stained aprons. I went back and sat in her chair and proceeded to tell her the issues I had with my curly hair. I told her what worked and what didn't on my type of hair. I explained my issues in detail, and showed her a pic I was interested in. She said it wouldn't work. That was fine. I figured she was the pro and showed her a different pic that she said definitely would work. She began cutting and said she was going to leave my front longer which was not how the picture looked. I told her I'd had that cut in the past and it didn't work for me. She then said she'd just leave it a little longer. I now have the WORST haircut I've ever had in my entire life. There is no way to wear it that it looks good and I am completely embarrassed. I can't leave it curly because it has horribly uneven layers, and I can't straighten it because in cutting the front longer, she left one side obviously longer than the other, and it looks like a huge chunk was lopped off the back of my hair. I was so upset I asked for a refund. My money was refunded but not without Heather messaging me AND my daughter saying how embarrassed she was because I complained. I can guarantee you she isn't half as embarrassed as I am having to go out with this horrible cut until I can have it fixed. The messaging to me and my daughter was also highly unprofessional. Never go to her! Too bad you can't choose zero stars!
