Although there is a Walgreens closer to me, I prefer driving to this one. Usually when I go its not crowded and I can find exactly what I am looking for. This particular day I went to get a passport photo. The cashier who assisted me first looked to see what kind of shirt I had on. I had a sweatshirt with writing on it so that wasn't going to work. So I told her I'd change shirts and come back. When I came back she immediately called someone to come take the picture. They lady that took the picture was very nice. The camera wasn't charged so she said she hoped we could get a few taken before it died. Luckily we got 2 good ones before it shut off. It took a few minutes to process so I browsed the Christmas clearance and grabbed some vitamins while I waited. When it was ready she found me and let me know. When I went to check out my picture was there waiting. Upon checking out, there was an issue with the card sliding out of the chip reader. The cashier had to hold it while I put in my pin and waited for the transaction to complete. For some reason the debit transaction kept taking forever and we learned debit was down so we had to had to then do it as a credit for it to work. The cashier was so patient and helpful through the whole process. The great customer service I always receive is why I prefer this place and keep coming back. read more

This Walgreens pharmacy was a thousand times better than the one in Oak Park (on Madison and Oak Park Ave)!!! They kept telling me there were insurance issues!! How come the nice lady in Broadview was able to get my insurance to cover my medication?! What's the point of me having 2 different insurances if the people in oak park keep telling me to pay out of pocket? I recommend going to the one in Broadview!! read more

Store review: This location had great inventory for the sale item I wanted so I was in and out within minutes so I can't attest to overall customer service experience. The parking lot is a bit rough with people driving like maniacs so be careful. Otherwise the store is well stocked and they took my internet coupons without issue so I am a fan. This pharmacy is the worst I have ever been to. They are obnoxious and rude on the phone, they cut you off and argue with you. They also never have your prescriptions in stock so save yourself a 3+ day wait and take your business elsewhere. I was told 4 days ago they didn't have my medication and that I'd have to wait until today at 1pm..you aren't supposed to stop medications like that!! At 1:15 they say 30 more minutes because they're busy...has everyone been waiting 3-4 days!? Probably because not only are they poor at having medications in stock, rude on the phone, they also lack the dedication to their job. Very lazy, lack empathy, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. read more

Dear Walgreens, I love Balance Rewards. Really. I have gotten lots of free stuff because of it. Please advise your cashiers to stop pushing the program when there are lines backed up. Maybe open additional registers. This location is consistently busy and your cashiers consistently explain the program to every uninterested patron. Maybe they are getting a kick back? I'm not sure. I stopped in quickly for Kleenex (chronic runny nose), and expected to be in and out in a few minutes. This site is a former Old Navy store, that offers a minute clinic, photo center and drive through pharmacy. I did a quick run through, and was able to find what I needed quickly and headed straight to the line- this is where I got really annoyed. Their photo department and main checkout are one in the same. There is 3 registers there, but only one was open at first. It was very slow. They did call for backup, but it seemed like no one wanted to really help, and the cashiers seemed to wanted to pass off the work to someone else (maybe it was a manager or something). It took too long to check out. The lot here is also a nightmare. There is marking on 2 sides of the building but there seemed to be a lot of confusion and anger with the patrons from the store. I felt like I was at risk to get hit! I will avoid this location at all costs in the future. read more

Pharmacy filled wrong prescription twice. Front cashiers slow and rude! Self checkout would help

If I could I would have gave them zero stars. Came in probably 2 mins before closing, I just needed to grab medicine real quick. The store manager was standing at the doors with his arms crossed and said, "If you arent back in a minute you wont be able to buy your things." If I didn't need it so badly I would have walked out. I work in retail and we never turn away or tell customers to get out. Very unprofessional and rude, and I will never return to this Walgreens. Target is in the same lot, a much better choice. read more

Has anyone been shorted medications? The last three months Walgreen's did not give the correct amount. Last month, I broached the subject to a pharmacist. They insist they count the medication, three times. Bull! I'm allowed 4 pills per day. I only take 3. Yes, it's pain medication, if anyone is curious. I've never exceeded more than 3 tablets. Yet, short. I believe the only way to handle this issue is take the pills out, and count the entire prescription before a clerk. This is absolutely insane. My insurance pays a portion, I pay the copay. read more

we went to go pick up pictures and tape for the pictures. the pictures were ordered the previous night and were supposed to be ready to following day, in which we went. we got to the register and asked for the pictures kindly and the lady did not seem impressed. she turned around and looked. they weren't there. we then asked what we do now wondering if we should reprint them or not. the lady was very rude and snapped back with attitude, not indicating what we should do at that point. so i guess next time we will order pictures from somewhere else; and i hope thag lady fixes her attitude. read more

I stopped in to buy a gift card. Waited in line ten minutes while the two cashiers were learning to use their new registers. I finally walked up to one cashier and the other told her to go take her lunch brake. She just turned her back on me and walked away, never said a word. Needless to say I will only shop here as a last resort. read more
