I value that Mariano's stores typically have a wide variety and selection. It is also superb that they have a dining area. I have appreciated the ability to obtain prepared foods at Mariano's, including delicacies like sushi. I have found other great prepared foods at Mariano's that I enjoyed a lot, e.g,. succulent beef pot roast. It is fantastic that Mariano's have self checkout kiosks, which can help with convenience. There are also a significant number of Mariano's stores in Chicagoland.

I ordered the Strong Bold 20 Oz coffee, it was a 10/10. Costs 4.39. Right around March 30th 2026. Its an expensive cup of strong black coffee. But once in a while its nice and enjoyable. Significantly more expensive than what Marianos charged (3.13 all in) for the same cup, But Significantly better. I was looking for the same experience today. Asked for the same thing. Came out to be the same price. However I was significantly disappointed. The coffee tasted like old reheated rancid prune juice that's been left over mixed with fliss! I wouldn't even serve that coffee to a rabid junkyard dog with fleas and hantavirus it was so bad. To go from a perfect cup of coffee to this low grade mouthwash was shambolic, despicable, nasty. Why even drinking napalm mixed with kerosene mixed with agent orange would taste better. Really too bad. That has to be the worst cup of coffee I've had in years. To spend what they did and come up with slop like that is not good.

After many years, I have to be honest. This location is a downgrade to the one that was destroyed…read morenear me on 59th. I am forced to come to this location due to being the nearest since the destruction of my regular Walgreens. But you will wait 20 minutes in drive thru for medications, even if you are the only one in line. I just don't get it. I mean, having a drive thru is a privilege here, but 20 minutes wait time? And this is the 3rd time this has happened. I'd like to believe it's busy, but it isn't. The pharmacy just doesn't seem to have it together. I go inside and once again, the pharmacy is not busy but you wait so long just to pick up a prescription is not a good thing. When I ask the pharmacy what is with the long wait, they usually say its that we are shorthanded, but again I see that's not the case. Sorry to say this but I can't wait for my Walgreens to re-open as they are scheduled to do so, although it taking a very long time (the irony). But I will be honest, this location, although slow in the pharmacy, still has many items that are essential. Its very well kept and for the most part the employees are kind, BUT SLOW. Again, I don't usually post the negative, but I am compelled to keep my honesty when it comes to YELP.

Slim pickings on the shelves, and it only gets worse from there…read more Returns are a disaster. Twice now a cashier has processed my return at the current price instead of what I actually paid. Admittedly they did not read my original receipt. And the self-checkout setup is an embarrassment. One cashier responsible for handling their lane, customers and returns AND overseeing a dozen self-checkout machines simultaneously. When something goes wrong, they scream across the entire front of the store to locate the customer. Loud, chaotic, and humiliating for everyone involved. This is not an employee problem. This is a corporate problem. Cheap, understaffed, and completely indifferent to the experience of both their workers and their customers. Not returning until change is implemented.

I had a great-tasting orange here that I enjoyed as well as delightful tofu. They had great variety and a selection wide enough for me at the time. The store was organized. Items were well-displayed. There was a pleasant-appearing and congenial-acting staff lady who said her name was Marie. Her outfit looked awesome, and her hair looked fantastic. This Aldi has a great location, right on Harlem Avenue. The store itself had a great ambiance. The lighting and character of the aesthetics of the store visuals were quite appealing. There was a large parking lot. The area is even walkable. I would love to continue to have more good experiences at Aldi.
