The reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of a worker. I'm doing laundry before work so I have my uniform on. So he called the provided contact number, and got in contact with me while I was still in the office at work. He told me that he found my iPhone. I offered him a monetary reward for finding my iPhone and contacting me about it, but he denied my offer. I went to JJ Peppers later that evening to meet Addy and to pick up my iPhone from him. I was rather impressed on how clean the store and attached laundromat is. The store had an amazing selection of beer and alcohol. :-D I met Addy at the cashier counter and he greeted me amicably and personably. He's just an honest guy with good morals who's really friendly. I purchased a can of Starbucks Espresso from his store and collect my iPhone from him. Addy's a really cool guy! I would visit this location again for its liquor selection, store cleanliness, as well as for Addy honest and friendly personality.

Paired with an Amoco, I visited this 7-Eleven location solely because Upside, a cash back…read moreapplication offered 5 cents per gallon on gas. Out of other gas stations within the area partnering with Upside, it offered the higher cash back offer at the time. Visiting this 7-Eleven also gave me the chance to grocery shop in an area that I am familiar with being Melrose Park. The location of this 7-Eleven is very congested due to the many businesses and restaurants it consists of, yet it is very safe. Immediately upon entering to locate a gas pump, I took notice of how well-maintained the space is, plus the yellow Amazon Hub Locker (Biathlon) which is hard not to notice because most 7-Eleven locations have them. Unlike most gas stations that give off a filthy vibe, it did not give off that urge of me wanting to sanitize my hands after utilizing the gas pump even though I did anyway. With the printer being down at the gas pump, I ended up having to go inside to pick up my receipt from the clerk to upload proof of purchasing gas on Upside. With cash back involved, it is the only reason why I would go inside of a location to retrieve my receipt. After uploading my receipt via Upside, I received my $0.30 cent cash back within the hour I put in for it via the platform as I conducted errands in Melrose Park. If in the area and in need of gas, I would not hesitate on visiting this 7-Eleven again, especially if it offers the higher cash back offer via Upside application. ~ You Are Your Choices. ~ Thomas G

Sometimes you'll find it's completely reasonable to judge a book by it's cover. This gas station is as trashy as the prostitutes that stroll up and down Mannheim Road. For this reason alone, I've always shunned them in favor of Thorton's across the street. But my gas tank had been on "E" for too long, and I was driving right passed it anyway. Lacking visual appeal is one thing. But when I have to move my car THREE different times because you have that many nonfunctioning pumps, you (the owner of this sh*t show gas station) come off as negligent. The first pump had a hand written note that said "credit card doesn't work on this pump". Fine, I'll move up one. Oh, there's a rag around the handle which I inferred means "move along, son". Will the third time be a charm? NOPE. No rag, no handwritten note, but the little screen next to the credit card processor showed nothing but a dark blue line, which means it was busted. It's not surprising because these pumps/credit card processors are completely outdated. There would not be a 4th attempt as I grew frustrated and drove off. I would rather have my car run out of gas on my way to a competent gas station than to give this place my money. In fact, they should have to reimburse me for the gas I lost starting my car numerous times, playing musical gas pumps in search for one that works. I realized there was probably a reason there were NO other cars here except my sorry ass.
