If I could give them a ZERO, I would. Do NOT go to Walgreens on Canal Street for medicine. Their pharmacists are extremely rude and REFUSE to help people and REFUSE to listen to people when they are begging for help, to the point of hanging up on the caller who is begging for help to get medicine for their sick child. I am thoroughly DISGUSTED with the deplorable customer service. Do NOT give them your business. They are HORRIBLE people! Yesterday I went to get my antibiotic, I was told I did not have insurance (even though I had just come out of the ER with no copay). I transferred pharmacies and had $0 copay. Somehow, no matter how many improvements they try to make, they always make mistakes. read more

I'm writing this at 3pm EST on 8/7/2025. I have been pleading with this staff in the Walgreens pharmacy (Canal St Brattleboro) to assist me. My regular pharmacy is RiteAid, Brattleboro VT. Currently Rite Aid is going through bankruptcy and are transitioning to Kinney drugs. The staff at Kinney (during the transition was kind and understanding) knew I needed my regular injection Rx for chronic migraines and offered to fax over my Rx to Walgreens and called them to confirm they got it. I pulled up this to the drive through this morning and was greeted by THE RUDEST, INCOMPETENT, ARGUMENTATIVE, NASTY, BELLIGERENT "pharmacist" EVER. She was even rude to my Dr. who tried several times to get them the paperwork she kept requesting necessary to fill my prescription. 3:22PM Still no prescription. My neurologist has basically given up. I forgot to add that the "WORST PHARMACIST EVER" female, brown hair and on duty today 8/7/25 said for me to call the insurance company to do their job and get clarification on who knows what! So 4 trips later and 3 back and forth between Rite Aid and Walgreens - I have no prescription and it's Friday. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY. THEY ARE DEFINITELY INCAPABLE and DEVOID of any human decency. Pathetic I have to select a star to post this. I wouldn't give them anything at all and in fact it would be negative stars if that was an option. I reported the pharmacist to the corporate office. I know that's not going to alter what happened and it will just be put in a pile of other complaints but I hope that pharmacist never gets chronic migraines and needs help. read more

What a disaster. If you want your Rx filled- go elsewhere. I arrived prior to closing and my 84 year old mom's script had been sent from Dartmouth about 30 minutes prior. I arrived to a patient giving them Trouble about an Rx that hadn't come through even though he confirmed Via phone in front of them that it had been sent. I thought he was being a jerk when he demanded the pharmacist's license number until they wouldn't fill my Rx! It has come Through - but they hadn't gotten to it & refused to! The pharmacist tried to close the gate on me, called her boss, Morgan, who yelled at me to get out or she would call 911 and the police would come to arrest me for trespassing (?) the store was still open, so not sure how I was trespassing. I explained that the script had not been filled although it has been sent through prior to closing and I had arrived before closing as well. Morgan said repeatedly 'I don't care! I don't care' that it hadn't been filled. I think I'll report them to Walgreens as well because if you don't care about your job, perhaps you shouldn't have it. Shocking and inept behavior from this branch for sure. read more

On June 12, 2023, they gave me the wrong dosage of medication. My doctor's office sent them the correct prescription, but Walgreens filled it at twice the prescribed dosage. When I spoke to the pharmacist, he first tried to tell me that what they dispensed was correct, then acknowledged that they had given me the incorrect dosage but blamed in on the way the doctor's office had written it, saying that "wasn't how we usually see it." I caught the error, but what if I hadn't? What if the next person doesn't? Within a few hours, there was a reply from someone at Walgreens inviting me to email or call with details of the problem. I emailed to the provided address with full details and my contact info, but as of June 24 there has been no follow-up. It's time for a snail mail letter to Customer Relations at Walgreens, with a copy to the CEO, Rosalind Brewer. There's no evidence Walgreens is taking this seriously, which is perhaps an even bigger problem than the original mistake. read more

I have been to the two Walgreens locations in Brattleboro and have experienced similar unacceptable behavior from the staff and on-line "services' to make am appointment for Covid testing. I switched over to Brattleboro Pharmacy!!!! More expensive but worth the smiles and the (great, ORGANIZED) service. Shame on you Walgreens.... read more

Absolutely the worst pharmacy chain out there. They will make you drive to the store before they tell you if they have a medication in stock- "for the safety of the staff" WTF. Is Brattleboro so ghetto that they fear to even let people know if they have a medication. Go mail order and avoid these ridiculous policies and chain. read more

I have yet to experience a smooth transaction. They constantly have an issue with filling prescriptions on time and are grossly understaffed. Don't go to the other Walgreens in Brattleboro either. I've spent easily 6 hours of my life dealing with their mishaps and I've only filled 2 prescriptions with them. Go ANYWHERE else. Don't make the same mistake I did. The pharmacy is always short staffed. Not pleasant. The photo department not great. The whole store seems short staffed. The Walgreens app sucks. After going to fill script I was gonna have to wait 30 mind because of lunchtime just decide to pharmacy across the street didn't take lunch, huh 4 pharmacists. Got my script before Walgreens pharmacist was even done work his lunch.. I live out of town so time is a big deal read more

Walgreens - two men and a woman in a store - Drugstores Near Me - Brattleboro, Vermont

i find it difficult to adequately express how poor the service is at this Walgreens pharmacy. The lack of care and concern from the staff is concerning. The attitude expressed by staff indicate that they view their role as a joke. I feel that my health is being negatively impacted by their inability to adequately fill my prescriptions in a timely manner. The staff is nearly impossible to reach, and they do not seem to adequately track the progress of prescriptions. Apparently, they forgot to ship prescriptions which were ordered and paid for online. Staff have stated they have shipped but the Walgreens app still lists them as awaiting shipment. This store is potentially dangerous. I hope the actual pharmacist is paying attention to the prescriptions and the individual drugs...I am not confident. read more

This is your standard, generic Walgreens. Everything is exactly where it should be. The head pharmacist is very nice and personable, and when school lets out the parking lot becomes overrun with children, so look alive! read more

This has nothing to do with Covid-19 period. This Walgreens has the WORST customer service of any pharmacy around. They use a phone system that keeps you on hold for a ridiculous amount of time and then a person answers only to put you on hold AGAIN, and while waiting an equally long time you get disconnected! In person is no better. They are disinterested in doing their job. Counter staff is Curt and rude. The scripts are NEVER ready when they say it is. THIS GOES BBACK TO pre- Covid so there is no excuse. They are just Inept. Plain and simple. I refuse to do business with them. read more

Wish I could give it zero stars. Your prescription isn't ready days after being sent in. If you call you are put on hold for a half hour or so, than disconnected. So, you go in and stand in a long line to be told the prescription has not been filled, than wait another long period well they fill it. Changed drug stores, wish I had done it sooner. read more

I waited on hold for 27 minutes after their message said one caller ahead of me!!! Usually I can't hold on this long but I've been so frustrated with this store and their ridiculous message system. This review is for the pharmacy in this Walgreens only. I've been filling prescriptions for over 20 years now, and I have never had a pharmacy so consitently dissapoint me as this place does. I've never once arrived to pick up my meds where they have actually had it ready for me. Even after signing up for text alerts, I never got any, and the employee I asked about it told me that the network was down. The employees always seems very stressed and overworked. They once gave me the wrong medication and I only noticed it when I went to take a pill and saw that it wasn't the same shape or color. I'm switching my pick ups to the Rite Aid across the street. read more
