All I wanted was an exchange (I had the order number and email used for initial purchase) but the associate said that it wasn't possible as it doesn't come with a pump. She even went as far as telling me I was wrong and that the product was a refill, which it clearly wasn't, as the box was labeled. The instructions on the box even state to use one-two pumps. This is my first time with this cleanser, so l did some research and made sure it came with a pump. I called Youth To the People and asked if the 8oz comes with a pump. They informed me it does, and even apologized for the incomplete parcel on Sephoras side. The associate at Kohls-Sephora was very short with me, combating me about the return, and wasn't listening to me at all. Eventually she processed a return, even though I had asked for an exchange. I left there empty handed, now unable to use the gift that was purchased for me.

After THE…read morestylist had shampooed her hair, she came running to find me in the store announcing she could not continue the haircut because my daughter had head lice. Obviously, my daughter was extremely upset. We quickly left and racked our brains where she may have gotten the lice... but we were a little skeptical. After looking at her scalp, I decided to bring her to a walk-in urgent care clinic to confirm the diagnosis. The Doctor Who examined her was positive that It was NOT head lice at all, rather, she had a dry scalp and some flaky skin. Really unhappy with the fact this woman upset and embarrassed my daughter not to mention we were unable to get her the cut she needed before going back to school. We have previously had pretty good experiences with the Ulta stylist team, but this new hire definitely leave something to be desired both in her knowledge of hair and scalp conditions, as well as appropriateness when delivering potentially upsetting news to a client.

I checked my email and noticed that I had never received the automated "Your Order Shipped" alert that Vermont Soap usually sends upon shipping an order. I inquired with Vermont Soap. On September 21, they claimed that the USPS had an issue with my address -- the address saved on my Vermont Soap account, used for 10 successful orders since August 12, 2014 -- and the shipment had been returned to them September 11. By that point, they had known for 10 days. They had never notified me. In Vermont Soap's replies to my emails, I got their apologies for the issues from the UPS and USPS. I got apologies for confusion and misinformation. I never got apologies for the fact that nobody reached out to tell me, despite knowing my order hadn't been fulfilled for a month after taking my money. When I asked what was going on with my order, I was told that a refund request was submitted by Vermont Soap. I never saw evidence of a refund, so I had to file a complaint through my credit card company instead. I got a weak explanation that my address on record was the culprit. I never got assurance that future orders I placed would be delivered. I enjoyed Vermont Soap products for six years. They were fine products. But a week of unacceptable customer service washed away years of trust. I must say, I've been delighted by just how many competitors are available today. I had feared that it'd be difficult to find a worthy replacement, but the only difficulty was choosing from dozens of new players in the organic skincare industry.
