This is a good Walgreens. It's not perfect, but it's good. It's big, clean, and well stocked. The parking lot is large and the store is conveniently located on the main street in bound Brook. The staff for the most part is friendly. A lot of the staff seems young and kind of inexperienced. They try to be helpful though. read more

I fill my prescriptions here. They are always very prompt and very good about the follow up reminder phone call. I always use the drive-through which is convenient so I have no complaints. They've always done a really accurate job with my prescriptions and I've used them for quite a few years. The hours for the pharmacy are very helpful for my schedule. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. There is a problem every single time I go to the pharmacy. They messed things up almost every time. They don't know what they're doing and this last time I needed my meds and I called twice to let them know I would be there in a minute. I got scolded and told that they close at 9 o'clock on the dot, and then if I was not there on the dot that they were not gonna help me because they close at nine on the dot . I drove like a maniac to get there and made it But there were only a few prescriptions there and when I asked whether the rest were the Guy says we are closed. So I guess now I have to figure out where the other prescriptions are ?? The week before I missed out on an overnight trip and lost money because my doctor wrote me my prescription, but they insisted that I was a day early. I'm not sure if Manny still works there, but he was the only person who knew what they were doing behind the counter. The rest of them are a bunch of idiots. I wish shaking mad last night. I get that they have certain hours but something happened that was beyond me. That made me run just a minute late and they were so ridiculous about it! Someone else here said they like to act like they're the drs. they do..they hold the prescriptions over your head and they decide what they're gonna do. If I were the store manager of this store, I would really be embarrassed. The store manager should be ashamed of this store. The pharmacy is quite literally awful. They ignore scripts sent by the doctor until you specifically call to have them filled or show up for them. So then you have to wait. My daughters prescription was dropped off three days ago, half filled based on what they had in stock, then when I show up for the second half, THREE DAYS LATER, they ask me to wait 20 minutes for it because it wasn't filled yet. I shop at this Walgreens often as it is close to my home. I like it. The store is well lit, big and clean. The sales clerks are efficient and friendly, especially the Photo Dept. They are very patient and helpful. The thing I like best about this store is the big advertising sign they have outside of it. It will post the items they have on sale, what the store offers, the time and the temperature ...but the best thing they post is a BIG red sign, a message that says "Be Kind". I love that. As I am stopped at the light the big, bold message will remind to me that the most thing for a person to be is to Be Kind. I love that. Kudos to the managemen or whoever had the idea to post that. It takes a lot to get me to the point of tears. Let me begin with this is the 1st time I've ever had to call corporate on a location due to a specific employee. Chris the manager at the pharmacy register. 1. My child is on a crucial medication. 2. 11am The pharmacy switched her medication with OUT telling me. I discovered this when I got home. 3. 1st Chris tells me my insurance won't cover the medicine I truly need for another week, this is because he charged my insurance over 200$ for a medicine I DIDNT NEED. 4. He then tells me he feels I'm over medicating my child & that he will not clear it till a dr calls. 5. I'm extremely frantic, with out that medicine my daughter goes into seizures . I present the neurologist med / dosage plans . He denies the Drs dose / prescription . 6. 5 hours have now passed and I'm waiting for the emergency line at the child hospital to call this Walgreens where Chris's thinks he's smarter than a team of doctors. 7. It's now 9pm, Now my 8th call to Chris the self proclaimed physician . FINALLY , before closing , he says it's ok , you can get the medicine . So non caring not knowing the turmoil his arrogance & error caused for an entire families day. THANK YOU FOR PLAYING WITH THE LIFE OF OTHER HUMANS . For now I'm switching my pharmacy . I will never enter this location again, not even to get mouth wash as long as employees are able inflict this turmoil. There is a reason you ARE NOT A DR Chris !! Not to mention my dr was highly flustered and confused with the audacity of a Walgreens clerk refusing to fill a prescription, changing one AND SAYING A CHILD IS BEING OVER MEDICATED. read more

I like my local Walgreens. They are a FedEx drop off and receiving location. Oddly, Adult beverages are frequently shipped to my home. They need a signature and sometimes I'm not home when they arrive. Well someone is always home at Walgreens to sign for them. They sell pharmaceuticals, medicine, greeting cards, batteries and Arizona Iced Tea as well. How convenient. read more

I just moved to the area and I was bummed when I saw the drive to Walgreens was about 15 minutes away. I decided to go because they already have my health insurance info and stuff and I was glad to make the trip. The store is a decent size, clean and the staff is friendly. Despite being entirely new to the area, the pharmacy was super fast and accommodating. I will not be switching to rite aid as I had planned (only because it's closer). Yay! read more

I love shopping at this store! Customer service is top of the line! The sales people there are very helpful. The prices aren't too bad. My most frequently purchased items are photos. I email them in to my account and then order prints which are usually ready within hours of ordering. This store also discounts holiday items after each holiday. I've gotten some really good deals on Halloween candy, and Christmas decorations over the years. read more

I went to make a purchased at this place.I purchased my stuff.I asked the cashier can I use the restroom.The cashier gave me a story about the toilet being flooded with water.I asked the cashier to get the manager.The manager comes and the cashier literally was saying the manager.Isn't the bathroom flooded with water.I looked at the manager as the manager was looking at the cashier like she did not know what the cashier was saying.Seems to me the cashier was lying.You see a black women who wants to use the restroom and you denied me because I'm black.I will not be shopping in this place ever again.I will continue to shop in Plainfield,NJ Walgreens on South Ave.I'm always allowed to use the restroom there. read more

Excellent store with very helpful employees. At one time they had a problem with kids on bicycles and skateboards in their parking lot (this seems to be a prevalent problem in Bound Brook). But they seem to have taken care of that. Especially for certain products like Tylenol, which have been victims of recalls lately, Walgreen's always seems to have a generic replacement that works just as well and is less expensive. I dropped off three prescriptions for pain medication for my partner between 6 and 7 pm. She is having extreme pain with back spasms. There was a young couple with a child sitting and waiting for a script to be called in by the doctor. There looked like a car at the drive up. I gave the paperwork to the woman at the counter, and she said it would be about a half an hour, but they were busy. I said, "I will take my friend home and get her comfortable. Why don't you call me when it's ready and I will come right down and get it." She said that would be fine and she verified the phone number and said she would call me. It rolls around to 9:30, I check the website to see how late they are open and it says midnight. OK, so at 10:00 I go back to pick up the prescription, and the pharmacy is CLOSED, and the store is in the process of closing. This is Not Even Close to customer service or consideration for a regular customer who is in serious pain. I will return to the store in the morning and register a formal complaint with the manager. I think it is also time to change my drug store back to Union Avenue Pharmacy. At least they call when they say they will and insure their clients don't have to spend the night in pain. read more
