The Walgreens pharmacy in Berlin was the worst experience I have EVER experienced!! I just had rotator cuff and tendon repair on my right shoulder. For anyone who doesn't know it's a severely painful recovery. I don't usually go to the Walgreens pharmacy, but they were the only ones that carried the pain medication. My doctor prescribed.. when it was time to get my refill. They were awful.!!! I went to pick it up. They said they couldn't give it to me that my insurance needed a pre-authorization from the doctor before they could give it to me. I called the doctor then they have to call the insurance once they get the pre-authorization they have to give it back to the pharmacy. All of this takes a couple days. My surgeons office kept saying they didn't understand what the problem was. They had sent authorization back to the pharmacy within the hour. The staff at the pharmacy was so rude to me. They acted like I was drug seeking lying and just being difficult. I am two weeks out from the most painful surgery I have ever had from a surgery. My surgeon said is going to take six months for full recovery. I will never go back there and I will never recommend that place to anyone.!!!! the main pharmacist was supposed to be the manager she was argumentative instigating, completely lacked professionalism or any empathy accusatory it was awful!! Someone like that should never be in the medical field in any way shape or form. read more

this company fired hard working dedicated employees over 30$ in coupons. 7 females out of 10 employees fired cause they used coupons, only the 3 males where kept. this are the people that keep these stores running and work hard to do so and they just throw them away some who have worked for the company for over 30 years. this is the way they treat employees set them up make them pay the for the coupons used thinking they have their job then fire them. what do you think about a company that does that. read more

I really like this Walgreens location. It's super close to my house and has fantastic options. It even has cute gifts! This year I did almost all of my Easter shopping here for the kids in my extended family. I found cute Squishmallows here for my daughter as well. The candy and snack collection is where it's at. The staff has always been friendly and courteous. It's an overall comfortable shopping experience!! read more

They've got the COVID shot thing down, I'm happy to report. I was initially put off because my son's appointment was cancelled (since they didn't have a pharmacist), but I rebooked for a week later and had great experience. The pharmacist was friendly and put him at ease. Pleasant experience all around and very competent service. read more

The Walgreens Pharmacy in Berlin has the most incompetent group of folks I have ever encountered in my entire life. They are rude and quite frankly just not smart enough to handle any questions about price or side effects or generics vs non. They only know what the screens tells them and have no other answers for you except to blame your insurance company. Bots would do a better job. They lack of any sort of training or knowledge of insurance or medications. Save yourself the aggravation and go anywhere else. read more

Well I don't know why this Walgreens has only a few stores because I had an amazing experience here the other day. My husband is in the hospital and I needed to get all kinds of necessities for him, including a power strip, and they had it! Super clean, well organized, and the clerk was beyond nice to me. I couldn't agree more with the negative reviews. This is a poorly run pharmacy. They have no idea what constitutes good customer service. Their hours are inconvenient. Brandon the pharmacy tech who works the drive-thru window can't answer even a basic questions and he is very rude. When it comes to GoodRX they cannot understand that people buy medications in larger amounts because the price is lower and not because they're going to try to make meth out of it in their garage. The pharmacy manager is inconsistent with her decisions and her philosophies on pharmacology principles. She may fill a prescription for the same medication for one patient but not for another stating her own personal reasons. If it wasn't the lowest price for one of my medications, I would never use this pharmacy at all. In fact, I'll probably see if I can't have this one medication filled in Newington or Cromwell so that I never have to use this pharmacy again. read more

I was in urgent need of my meds, spoke to Tin, who advised me that it was too soon to renew my prescriptions. I was confused, as I had run out, turns out he meant that my old Walgreens had filled them, after I had informed them I was getting them at another Walgreens. I spoke to Tin about the situation and requested the meds at his Walgreens, seeing it was closer, AND I had spent most of my Saturday on hold with Walgreens. He informed me, I had to pick them up at the old Walgreens and NEXT time he would refill them. When I ask why, he said, "insurance had been billed" I requested for everything to be canceled and rebilled at his Walgreens and he continued with the same story, when I insisted he said he could on Monday, then put me on hold. I hung up and called Stop & Shop. Orsolla, was lovely, took care of everything I'm all set, one minute from me! read more

Before I continue I want everyone to know that the staff at the pharmacy was friendly. They said hi and were pleasant. However, I went to get my 1st Covid vaccine shot here and the lady behind the counter (no name tag) simply had no idea what she was doing, or how to get people ready for a shot. She must have looked at her computer 5+ times in utter astonishment, like she had absolutely no idea what she was looking at. She had to call multiple pharmacists over to help her with the process. I don't recommend getting a Covid shot here. read more

Staff at store was not pleasant at all. Was not greeted and while checking out cashier said "Wow" he then looks at my torso in amazement. I am a size xxl so this was very uncomfortable as it is I am already self conscious so this was horrible never want to go again. read more
