Went in to pick up a prescription a day after the state mandated that everyone wear masks. Behind the pharmacy counter, I saw 2 of the 4 pharmacists not wearing masks. When they walked up to the counter to help people they would put their masks on, but pull them down once they were working with the medicine. This is ridiculous. If they are sick and handling the medicine that people take then... anyway it should be completely obvious, especially for someone in the medical field. read more

This is the WORST PHARMACY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!! OMG went to pick up a refill- called ahead and it was filled. Waited for pharmacist - who mind you WAS NOT WEARING A MASK!! People cut in front of us. No distancing and to talk to the unmasked pharmacist people pulled their mask down. Can not even believe this is happening in AUGUST 2020. Get a grip and do not go here if you want to stay HEALTHY!! I visited this store today just before noontime. Not a good experience. I picked up the items I needed from the aisle and commenced standing in The checkout line with my husband. there were two people ahead of us but after five minutes the line hadn't moved at all. I needed to use the restroom and so I handed my cash and merchandise to my husband and proceeded to find the restroom. I had to walk up three flights of stairs only to find an Elevator at the very top; there were no directions or signs. I took the elevator down only to find my husband in the same exact place on line. Now, there were about 6-7 people behind him and still 2 people ahead of him in line. The cashier was very slow and she seemed to be laughing and joking with her customer (same customer for 15 minutes). Cashier said to customer "are you ok now?" Customer said "yes I'm ok now". and they proceeded to repeat those two lines over and over and over with big smiles and laughter In their voices. I think they repeated it 7-8 times. Finally I approached the cashier. she asked me if I had the rewards card. I Knew I once had a Duane Reade cArd and gave her the phone number but it didn't work. Then, the cashier said "well then you have to pay full price." And the "regular" price was several dollars more than advertised on the store shelf. I had a problem with that. I am a regular Safeway customer. I always have my Safeway card but have seen many customers over the years either without a Safeway's card or they just forgot it and left it home. When this happens in Safeway the cashier either (a) offer to create a rewards account for the customer or (b) utilizes a generic card to give the customer the price discount. However, it NEVER ends with the cashier telling the customer they need to pay full price. I Was upset that this cashier spent 15 minutes with a customer buying two boxes of tissues but couldn't spend 30 seconds getting me a rewards account or resolving the issue in another way in an effort to save me some money. I told the cashier "forget it, I'm not interested in buying this here" and walked out. A very frustrating situation. First, the cashier was very slow while there was a very long line in the store. it's good to talk, joke and laugh with the customers but when there are only two cashiers working ( and the other was slower -- I think she was a new employee) they should concentrate on getting the line of customers moving. Also, don't offer a discount to customers and then tell me that since I'm not a member of your FREE club that I have to pay full price. I left the store, went a little out of my way, and got the product as Safeway. It was cheaper and the Shopping experience was much better. never again with Walgreen. read more

Nice to have this place in Avon. Close to the center of town and easy to get to. These guys have just about everything you need for a pharmacy. Well stocked. Workers seem to be a little busy to help sometimes but for the most part very helpful. Would recommend. Having a perscription filled is not quite as cheap as the other stores but they have better hours and the wait to get yours filled is very fast. Loved not have to wait for a long time to have script filled. Will continue to use this place in the future. read more

Alright, I never like to call an employee out by name but you have someone working for your company that has been there since you opened that is ABSOLUTELY the rudest and down right judgemental person. I started to think it was just me that she has singled out but come to find out a lot of people feel the same way. This is just ONE and the most recent example. The other day I was in line waiting with a basket that had my prescriptions and a few misc items in it. Before I set it on the counter she basically yelled without looking at me WALGREENS CARD PLEASE. I said no sorry I dont have one. I set my basket down, she proceeds to cross her arms and yell again EMPTY YOUR BASKET. So I took the 3 items out and then went to get my wallet and she yet again rudely goes YOU CAN PUT YOUR BASKET BACK BY THE DOOR. So I do so thinking this is getting ridiculous. I return to the counter where I am buying something some what private and she is staring at me holding this item and snarls. I ignore it. Proceed to reach for my wallet and pull out my CC. She then yells (yes I am serious) CASH OR CHARGE. I then show her I am holding my CC and she goes I DIDNT SAY CHIP. I insert my card and she goes READ THE DIRECTIONS FOR YOUR CHIP PURCHASE. I got a chance to look at the other lady working who obviously caught on to what was going down. I finish my transaction and bolt out of there before she could say anything else to me. I am BAFFLED by the way she was treating me I know reading this it doesnt sound all that bad but this is EVERYTIME I visit your store and she working. I live right down the road so Walgreens is a frequent quick stop for me. She has always been so rude to where I will wait for someone else to check me out. You DO NOT want that kind of person assisting your customers. If you would like further info you can ask. But for the rest of my visits to walgreens I will be checking out at the pharmacy (they rock). read more

I transferred my prescription from City Market in Eagle to Walgreens in Avon for convenience. I have been on hold now for 27 min. I have never waited for more than 30 seconds for someone to pick up at the City Market Pharmacy. I wish I would have read all of the reviews before I transferred my prescription. I'm pretty sure it will be worth the hassle to transfer them back.... 29 min now. The recording states how many calls are in front of you. There was only 2 when I got placed on hold. There has been only one in front of me for the last 20 min. This is so frustrating. I rarely write reviews but if it saves you this hassle it will be worth it. There should be a minus stars option. Now 33 min on hold. Maybe they are short staffed? A pharmacy tech named Siria just answered. I am back on hold for her to check on my prescription.... now 37 min total hold time. Nice music now. She came back on at 41 min to tell me the pharmacist has to check the pharmacy line. They are going to call me back. Not holding my breath. They charged $60 for two sets of passport photos for my husband and I and don't have the price posted anywhere. Save your time and money and just go to Walmart where the service is just as slow and cumbersome but at least you pay a reasonable fee and they tell you the price up front. read more

Absolutely horrid service at the pharmacy, they absolutely do not care, it's been going on since they opened and I actually sent an email to the company once describing how ridiculous it is to get a prescription there and never heard back. I called the pharmacy once to check on a prescription, was put on hold, drove to the pharmacy while I was still on hold, went inside and got the manager of the store to come out from the backroom, walked together to the pharmacy, still on hold and when we got there someone finally answered the phone. If you want good service from a friendly pharmacy that has adequate staff, get your prescriptions from City Market. Also, I once got a prescription for 45 pills and when I got home it didn't seem like 45 pills so I counted them and there were 30. I called and they did correct that problem. Walgreens is a joke! At City Market the entire store as well run, well staffed, and the pharmacy folks are great. Do yourself a favor and skip Walgreens in Avon unless waiting is something you enjoy. read more

Awful service. Pharmacy was the rudest. I was shocked when we were three minutes after clossing, and refused our prescription.

Oh boy. I'm hopeful this was a one time thing, but more than a little perturbed that I had to stand in line with my hands full for 10 minutes while a Walgreens worker bought an entire cart full of batteries and other random sale items while on her "break". So the only two Walgreens associates on duty at 7pm on a Saturday evening are consumed ensuring the one purchasing items on her break was getting the correct discount. No acknowledgement or concern that there was a growing line of full priced paying customers patiently waiting to get on with their Saturday evenings. Honestly, I just expect more class from Walgreens...especially a Walgreens in this location. Rude! read more

When I entered the store, i immediately was greeted by a sales associate named Ty, who was so helpful with the instructions for printing a Holiday Card. I chose the incorrect card and another sales associate, Abella, came to the rescue in assisting me. She was extremely knowledgeable and patient. The store was very busy that day and all of the staff was professional and provided excellent customer service. read more

My experience happened before the virus outbreak. I went in and stood at the empty pharmacy counter forever before any of the pharmacy techs decided to address me. Finally one did. I explained my prescription problem a few times and finally she said in a monotone, "You need to talk to the pharmacist. Stand there." She was telling me to stand in front of the little window that's apart from the big counter, so I did. The pharmacist (blonde) looked over at me three times with an expression like, why could you possibly be standing there? Is it weird to walk up to a Walgreen's counter? They make you feel that way. There are 4 to 5 of them, 1 of me, and occasionally, someone at the drive through. After three glances with unfriendly looks each time, the pharmacist finally said, slightly annoyed, "do you need something?" I said "yes, she wants me to talk to you, and evidently, this is where we're going to do that." "Oh," she said. She was probably 15 feet away at the time and then the strangest thing happened. She took three exaggeratedly slow steps toward me, stopping maybe 12 feet away. It's ski season and i had on a coat, but did she think this middle age woman was hiding guns and was about to shoot her? She stood there and on the off-chance she didn't feel safe talking to me (I'm a normal looking woman) I finally said, "What's wrong?" She said, "what do you mean?" I said, "you're so hesitant to come talk to me and I don't bite, what's the problem?" She then realized how odd she was being and she waved it off and under her breath said, "oh, sorry, I guess it's been a long day. What do you need?" Satisfying my need seemed to be the very last thing she's going to be able to do on this earth before she hangs it all up and melts into the earth. Slowly, slowly, she approached me. As I started to explain the problem, another gal walked up to the bigger counter. I was with the pharmacist for almost 15 minutes as the other woman stood there. She and I kept making eye contact, like "why won't anyone who's back there address the customers?" I started to feel responsible and I finally said to the other waiting woman, "I'm so sorry. I think we'll be done in a minute though and then maybe they'll help you over here." The other customer said, "I just don't get it. Behind that wall is a drive through. The clerk is standing behind the wall. And you can hear whether or not there are cars in the drive through. The whole time I've been standing here, she helped three cars, but they only took a minute each. The rest of the time she's just been hiding back there, I don't know why." Anyway, the pharmacist finally offered to call my insurance company, which I appreciated, and that entire time (going on 30 minutes now) the other lady still patiently stood there waiting for one of the other four people who work there to help her. Like a scene out of Candid Camera both she and I were thinking, "are they serious? they can't really think this is OK, can they?" There is something dreadfully wrong with this Walgreens. Given that every review from 2014 forward has only one or two stars, it seems everyone knows this Walgreen's is unusable except the Colorado Regional Walgreen's Manager. Six years of unhappy customers is inexcusable. Postscript - I still don't have my drugs, I need them to call the prescriptions over to a different pharmacy in a different city thanks to the virus, but the phone rings off the hook. Call there....stand there....it doesn't matter; they will ignore you. Go to City Market instead. read more

Judgmental pharmacy staff- no issues with picking up basic medications but they are unpleasant and seemingly judgmental. Gave an extra star for convenience as I work at the medical center around the corner. read more
