Giant Starbucks inside, complete array of full service departments as well as a large corral of self checkout lanes when you're ready to get back to the outdoors. The butcher block back in the Meat Department had some perfectly marbled choice cuts of beef on display. Just wish I had a grill up here in the mountains with me!! Produce department had some of the most amazing grapes I have ever had in my life. If you haven't tried the "Carnival" (also known as White or Cotton Candy) grapes, you are missing out. I ordered groceries online for a ski trip to Copper Mountain. Process was incredibly easy. We arrived via shuttle yesterday and I asked if we could just load up from the store since we had parked out front. It was no problem at all- the guy pulled out groceries, told me to grab a cart, and away we went. Very reasonable prices, extremely close to the mountain, and excellent customer service. Safeway is always pretty great! I come here to get some groceries, depending on what's on their weekly ad. This is a full-blown Safeway with a fresh seafood counter and a bakery which is pretty great, and they also have a shelf of reduced-price baked goods. We were on vacation in Breckenridge, and I called to see if they administered strep tests. She told me to come at 2:30 and didn't ask for or want any more information, not even a name for the appointment. When I showed up with my miserable nine year old, THAT'S when one woman informed me they can't administer to children under 12, and the other told me it was my fault I didn't tell them on the phone. The frustration of this lack of communication was coupled with the incredibly dismissive attitude from both women in the pharmacy. I have never been treated so poorly by someone who is supposed to be a provider. read more

I've done serval drive up pick ups from this location. The safe way worker who has delivered each one to my car has been especially kind each time and has made the process a breeze. The workers have also been so nice being accommodating for any substitutions i needed and even solved an issue where I sent my order to the wrong store! Great people and great service ! read more

The location is severely short-staffed. The manager Tony is the manager; he makes promises to fill prescriptions and gives you time to pick them up. You can add an additional hours or even days and the order is still not ready for pickup. The lines go on forever. I know this is going to sound crazypants- but I LOVE the bagels from this Safeway. They're always great, fresh, soft & they make me happy. Specifically the Jalapeño cheddar bagels. I don't know what they do differently, but trust me- they do. This is my usual stop on my trips over the mountains. It has easy i70 access, the bathrooms are clean, and you can get a snack. (Or let's be serious... a dozen bagels... not to eat in 1 sitting. Don't judge me) Frisco is always a good break time, it's less crowded than Vail, and the lake view from just about anywhere is good. read more

The cashier was a chunky, middle-aged blonde named Missy, i think, and the customer looked to be a quiet elderly man just asking for help. I had emergency surgery and when my husband went to pick up my prescriptions some were missing. When he asked the pharmacist pointed to the shelves behind him. This pharmacy wouldn't fill certain prescriptions because you could also find them over the counter. The whole point of a doctor making a prescription is so it will be covered by insurance and accepted to pay with hsa and fha accounts. IT'S NOT UP TO THE PHARMACIST ON WHAT MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBES. DO YOUR JOB AND LEAVE THE PRESCRIBING TO THE DOCTORS. read more

Nothing fancy about this Frisco Safeway (this is in Frisco, not Dillon like the address states). Nothing wrong with it either. I'm just a little more partial to the City Markets that we have in our neighboring mountain towns like Dillon and Breckenridge. This store seems pretty empty most of the time and has a huge parking lot which makes it a convenient stop as you're driving through town. Not sure about other people being treated, but remember that people are human beings too and they have bad days and good days. Zero stars is a better review. Self checkout closed at 8pm with only two manned check stands and huge lines. No wonder the employees never smile. I was able to leave, drive to Dillon, shop at city market, and get home in less time than standing in line at Safeway would take. What is crazy is that it's rarely busy there, they just never have any checkers of self checkout available. FYI, whole foods is right behind them and the prices are comparable if not cheaper in many cases. Why does Safeway feel the need to gouge customers and offer terrible service? Do yourself a favor and go to whole foods or city market. read more

Lady in the deli was exceptionally rude when I asked if they had a microwave. Even after she tells me they are the only ones who can use it I say sure and walk away she proceeds to raise her voice you have to buy it first almost implying I'm stealing from them. I'm sorry your business model is so poorly ran. We all should reanalyze how you must train a prejudice into your employees. Yet you throwaway 100's of lbs of food. We stopped in here to get groceries for our weekend get together and they had absolutely anything you could need! We're from out of town and don't have Safeway at home so I didn't have a membership card. When we were checking out the clerk asked for my card, when I said I didn't have one he scanned his instead. This is my favorite store. I have been here about year now and frequent this store, it is always clean and safe. The pharmacy is the best I have used and very helpful when I have questions. I watched a customer being rude to the pharmacist and he handled her like a pro and the customer even apologized to him when it was all finished.
