My review is based off coming here very late at night for some medical supplies after I lacerated my lip. I tried going to the 24/7 Walgreens on research first bc they are closest to my home but their doors were locked (when they shouldn't have been)??? So this was the next closest one. We called before hand to confirm hours and thankfully someone answered and confirmed they were open. Got there around 2:45am-ish, grabbed the supplies needed (kudos for having a laceration wound kit! Got here at 11:35 PM on a Tuesday night and the doors are locked up, and with no signs saying they are closed or why they're closed. This pharmacy location in general has started to really get on my nerves. The young woman who helps at the front counter can't seem to understand basic inquiries or requests without consulting someone else. It took all kinds of work and repeating myself to get her to understand I needed the pharmacy to call CVS down the street to have my prescriptions transferred after my insurance changed, apparently a routine process. Furthermore, their new process of giving you a few day's supply of a medication while a larger amount is shipped to them is ridiculous. CVS and HEB seem to be able to fill RXs within an hour no matter what I've ever gotten from them. Plus, their hours are crap. 9 am?? Hold time for the pharmacy 44minutes and counting... for a provider to call in prescriptions that is honestly absurd.

My purchase of a temporary repair glue for a loose crown was a disaster. The Recap-It glue does not work at all. After careful preparations to both the crown and my tooth the glue would not bond to either and when I tried to get my money back for a defective product the person in charge said no refunds and that it is common sense that they don't give refunds on an open product. Question -1) How does one know if a product is defective or not without opening the package? 2) How would one know if the glue (product) works without trying it first? Walgreens sells defective products and does not stand by their customers, if you buy something bad from them you are screwed. Please don't buy Recap-It glue SKU#37249410170, and consider driving a little further to a different store than Walgreens - you'll save money and hassle with people who just don't care. I don't use Yelp often anymore. Probably the quarantine. Since this all started, Walgreens has been absolutely on point. The Pharmacy staff is who I'm dealing with - so this is more for them. They're patient and quick to help. Waiting in a line of cars, I can't help but hear screaming customers every time I go. They don't lose their cool and they've been excellent during this whole thing. They've gone out of their way for me at least 4 times since this started. I just wanted to give them some proper recognition. All of these 1 stars are from people with no reviews who had a frustrating one-off experiences. Forget those crazies. Shout out to the Braker/Metric Pharmacy Staff. read more

I don't know why, but for being my neighborhood Walgreens, they are always either out of stuff or just aren't as well stocked as other Walgreens. Also, for some reason, regardless of time of day, the parking lot is ALWAYS a clusterf*ck here...there is no rhyme or reason, but even if there are 10 spots open, there is always someone blocking you. There is ALWAYS as in ALWAYS a line, even if both cashiers are open...maybe it is just that popular. And fair warning, the clientele here are a bit on the "sketch" side. The staff is ok, they will tell you where things are w/o much attitude, which is more than I can say for some other stores. Oh, and if you are going to the Redbox here...again, plan to wait in line. I don't know what it is, but seriously, no matter what time of day I come, there is an inexplicable Redbox line and it always seems to be behind people who just can't decide on what to rent, which is really frustrating for someone who just wants to return a movie. I kid you not, but I will drive all the way down Metric to the Walgreens off Parmer to return a movie because the lines can be that bad. But, hey, when it's the closest Walgreens to my place and I am in desperate need of Kleenex and Nyquil...well, proximity trumps all! read more

This is for pharmacy. I had a prescription called in by my physician. Walgreens lost it twice. I had to make five different phone calls to get it filled. And then when I called the last time, the pharmacist interrupted me when I was giving my name and DOB, to say, quite rudely, "I don't need all that. That is too much information." Did it hurt you to get that info? That's basic information that I was asked for all of the other times I have called about this prescription. Rude, and totally unnecessary. read more

I have to give these guys a shout. This store is located in Shooey's Silver Radius (a mile from my office) and they have been my providers of desk-snacks since my first week at this assignment. (OK, a mere four months, but still...) Their 'Nice!' snacks have helped me survive mundane hours upon mundane hours of telephone working, and it's been... well, nice. The staff is friendly, and actually fast. I've never had to wait very long, even with a lengthy queue. Even with a lengthy Jerry Springer-people queue. The prices are pretty good, too. (I'm not cheap, I'm just frugal!) I give this place special kudos for my New Years Eve 'champagne-flavored alcoholic beverage' that gave me celebratory joy for about $4 a bottle, and for enriching my life with the Lay's unholy trinity of 'Cheesy Garlic Bread', 'Chicken & Waffles', and 'Sriracha' potato chips. So a star each for being fast, convenient, friendly, and cheap, and lose a star for still being Walgreen's. As the four stars bespeak, from the bottom of my heart--Yay! I'm a fan. read more

I can see that ya'll are often understaffed but I've always experienced nothing but professionalism from the head pharmacists (hence the 2 stars) so not sure why the other employees can't give good consistent customer service. And now today (Friday 13th) I went to pickup a blood pressure medication & they told me that MY DOCTOR HAD CALLED & CANCELLED IT. That was a flat out lie. Should be zero stars. No way meeting the standard of care. Consumer complaints Walgreens 1-800 Walgreens. It is hands down the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I have filed a formal complaint with Walgreens upper management. Urgent meds not in stock for days including authorized pain Rx,rescue asthma meds some mainline antibiotics and other meds needed the day ordered. No offer to do a city system search for a drug and even if 25 miles away they have delivery. Further the pharmacist today claimed it was illegal for her to print my record offline for 2022 income tax purposes although it had been released by 7 doctors and another pharmacy today. Then all week I have been trying to get essential asthma meds transferred from Walgreens and filled. 5 calls by my insurance. The last call today the pharmacist said she would not transfer the orders, again my legal right and demanded that my doctor a critical care pulmonologist stop his ICU work and call in the order to the new pharmacy. Today's experience with my local Walgreens pharmacy drive thru was a bit disheartening. I thought that if I was in line prior to closing, I would receive service. The two cars in front of me took much longer than expected. With the big mirror that shows which customers are in line by what time, I just waited patiently. When I pulled up to the window there was no response. Whereas I understand employees wanting to leave work on schedule, it should be noted somewhere that if you're not in line by a certain time you will not be served. Fortunately, I did not need to pick up a life or death medication, but for many people this is an essential service and there should be better communication to valued customers. read more

Perfectly decent neighborhood pharmacy. Easy to get to with plenty of parking. They have always had everything I need. An added bonus - if you are expecting a FedEx delivery, you can have it sent to this Walgreens instead. That way you don't have to be at your house or office to sign for the delivery, and you don't have to worry about some porch thief stealing your stuff. read more

ladies beware of the man who has a long brown ponytail. i moved to the area a year ago and ended up frequenting this walgreens a lot when i first moved here and i don't think there's been one time i've been in that this man hasn't complimented me. nothing is wrong with a compliment here and there but being told over a dozen times by the same guy "i like your hair" it gets uncomfortable after a while. one time i came in wearing a cute outfit and makeup just running in to grab a snack with my roommate, homie sees me from down the drink isle and b-lines it to me with his stocking cart and immediately went in. "i love your hair, i love your makeup, i love you're outfit, it's all (hand gestures to my person) perfection" well that was uncomfortable! he's also compliment bombed my roommate before at checkout "i like your hair, i like your piercing, i like your other piercing, i like your makeup" the energy was so uncomfortable and he was holding up the line. at this point a guy in line behind us said "i hope you compliment all of us like that" not a chuckle from ponytail dude. all that is context to bring me to today. i walk in after not coming in for months to avoid this dude but i picked up some domino's next door and wanted a drink. i see a girl at checkout and feel relief until i see ponytail dude stocking in an isle and think "here we go again". i grab my drink and walk to the counter. mind you when i came in the girl at check out had about 3 dudes in line, ponytail guy no where to be seen, but when i walk up as she is literally finishing up checking out the only person in her line i hear "i got you over here" from behind it was ponytail guy ofcourse. he complements my hair and i say thank you while avoiding eye contact i wasn't rude but i'm just tired of feeling on edge in this walgreens. on the other hand a while back i talked to the manager about something unrelated and he was amazing when i saw him he had short light brown hair and blue eyes. he was very kind and so helpful i hope he's still around and i hope ponytail guy gets a lesson about when and where complementing people like that is appropriate. read more

While shopping I needed to use the restroom. The restroom was closed for cleaning so I shopped while the staff person finished. When they exited they left the closed for. Leaning sign up. I inquired when it would be reopened and was told that they had just finished cleaning it and it would remain closed. I protested and they turned their back on me and walked away. This review is only reflective of the pharmacy. I typically would never take the time to write such a lengthy review but I had the worst experience ever at the pharmacy. I recommend going to any other Walgreens in the city besides this one. I've never experienced such rude service where the staff wouldn't even answer simple questions. They also treated and talked down to us like we were 5 years old and didn't understand English, which frankly came off as very racist. I'm sure they're under a lot of stress, but I asked a simple question politely twice and was met with rudeness that they couldn't understand us and yelling. I find myself in here from time to time as it's near my work and sometimes I need things like shitty wine, or overpriced generic medicine, or those headphones they have where the left ear stops working after a couple of weeks but I keep buying them because they're only $5. You know the ones. Walgreens is not the grandma you like - the one that stuffs you full of dessert and shoves money in your face and pretends you're the greatest person alive. No. Walgreens is your OTHER grandma. The one whose food tastes a little 'off' and who is always cold and who tells you not to touch things in her house. Don't act like you ever liked your grandmas equally. Everything in here is about $1.75 too expensive but I buy these things because when I'm in here, I get this strange, very dull sense of alarm that this might be my last chance to trade for goods before entering the wasteland. What is the wasteland? That like 1pm - 4pm stretch after lunch at work when time slows down and you start having serious concerns about your life choices. (Shouldn't have killed that guy for no reason. Idea for next time: have a reason.) You know what is creepy about Walgreens? Walk in to a Walgreens. Now walk into a different Walgreens. IT'S THE FUCKING SAME MAN. It's like a short circuit to Purgatory, only here they have a rewards card. Which sucks. I've had it for like two years and all I ever got were some coupons for panty liners. WHICH ARE ALREADY ONLY LIKE 75 CENTS ANYWAY. (Fun fact, when I was a kid, I thought it said 'party liner', like it was this plastic sheet you laid down before a party to collect all the trash at the end or something.) On a final note, Walgreens, tell your employees to stop saying 'Be Well' at the end of checkout. It's disingenuous, weird, and I feel like I'm in a bad commercial. Walgreens pharmacy is atrocious. Will get my medications cancelled multiple times without reason and I keep having to send refill requests. I am prescribed gabapentin and one time I picked it up half of the bottle they gave me was IBPROUFEN. I don't know how a pharmacy could make a mistake like this and I was very lucky it was just ibproufen. I should've listened to the universe at this point- running low on a medication and my doctor called in a new prescription of a higher dose of one of my current medications. I had to pick up two separate prescriptions because they dont make my dosage. I ran out of my medication- took it every day as prescribed- and saw the pharmacist delayed my refill. I called to inquire and the pharmacist told me she couldn't fill it because it was "too soon" and told me she couldn't fill it until I would be well out of the medication. I told her my higher dosage instructions were sent by my doctor but she just said she couldn't. I began almost crying because even just missing one dose really messes with me but she showed no sympathy, even though her "math" was inaccurate and there was no reason to deny me my medication. After an extremely frustrating conversation I asked if I could fill the same prescription at a lower dose and she said "oh yeah sure I can fill that." You couldn't tell me that 15 minutes ago ??? Appalled with customer service and the operations of this pharmacy. This place is a hot mess and will not be filling my medications here in the future, and if you want to save yourself a headache and anxiety , I would advise you do the same. read more

Eh. You can go to Walgreens one day, get what you need, and make it out unscathed. Other days you will have to wait on line for a long torturous bit while the lone cashier checks folks out at 5:30pm. Why they'd have one person at that hour is beyond me. Don't even try tracking down the person designated to the photo cashier area. The line will just get longer at that one cashier by the time you make your resigned way back to it. However, as far as Walgreen's go, this place is clean, alarmingly bright, and when you find staff, they can be helpful. I once went in to make a last attempt at finding red lipstick that made me look 1940's, not 1970's hooker. We walked over to the lipsticks and lo and behold: one that matched my skin-tone-appropriate nailpolish. And... it worked. So I say A-ok. Hell, +1 star for the helpful pharmacist and there always being a L'oreal sale. But -1 star because I took my passport photo here, the dude didn't show it to me before printing it, and I looked crazy. read more

I've been living within a mile or so of this Walgreens for over 5 years and was so surprised to see today it has not yet been reviewed on Yelp! Now I see that it has been reviewed but (strangely) it has been identified under the words "Gracy Woods" even though it is on Braker and Metric. What can I say about this store? Well, any store that is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week is a downright handy store, especially when you need something on the QT -- whether it be band-aids, chocolate or whatever convenience store items are your pick. The people that work here have always been very nice to me and helpful when they can be, and the location is very handy, on the northeast corner of Braker and Metric. I believe there is a Wendy's next door and the very next spot over is a full-size post office (which has the most expensive p.o. boxes in town, but I'm not reviewing them so enough said!). What can I say? I just couldn't resist being the first to review the store. What would they have to do to get a 5-star rating from me? Hmmm...probably offer more healthful snacks (though it does seem as if they are trying to do that). I hear the chocolate-covered goji berries are awesome! read more

This is down the street from where I live and often on the way home from work, so I stop here quite a bit. I also fill my prescriptions at this particular Walgreens. The store itself isn't bad. They have a variety of things such as drinks, snacks, candy, cosmetics to everything pharmacy (cold medicine etc.) This particular Walgreens also has a photo development counter. My first maybe 3 times going there I always found someone standing at the photo counter complaining about something! I thought to myself, this Walgreens must not be that great. I continued to go because it's in my neighborhood. I signed up for the Walgreens card since I go enough times. In the end that card will save you money. It doesn't cost anything to sign up either. Some of the employee's seem to be friendly while others not so much. There is always the same gentlemen at the cashier counter when I go and he is quite friendly and will make a joke every now and then. However, when his line seems to get long no other employee's ever seem to be around. I have found that I will go to the cosmetic or photo counter to check out sometimes because the normal check-out line is out of control. The people at the prescription counter are friendly and helpful. I have only had good experiences with them. read more

Y'all have got to do better. This was unacceptable. I had a prescription called in by the doctor Wednesday morning. Received a call that the medicine was in stock and would be filled by 3PM. 3 PM came around and I received a call saying the medicine was not in stock and would not be until Friday. Friday morning I call in at 9 AM to ensure my prescription would be worked on. They ensured completion at 3 PM. I called out of hesitation at 3 PM only to be told the order wouldn't be ready until 5:45 PM. I showed up at 5:45 to pick up my prescription in an effort to expedite the process in the event they dropped the ball again. And to zero surprise whatsoever, here I am at 6:25 still waiting in the lobby for my order to be completed. Y'all have GOT to do better. read more

I've never left a review anywhere before, but the interaction I had today with Pharmacy staff was absolutely terrible. I was accused of falsifying a prescription for...(drum roll)...retinae (a skin cream). They said the hand writing of the name on the prescription did not match the hand writing of the prescription itself. Absolutely crazy. So they refused to fill it. The pharmacy tech, who was training the woman at the counter, was on a power trip trying to find all kinds of reasons to reject the prescription. First, she said she might not be able to fill it because it had been 6 days since it was written. Then, I overheard her telling the girl she was training that there were THREE sets of hand writing on the prescription. She then tried to blame the rejection of the prescription on the pharmacist. After that they said they would have to hold the prescription another 24 hours to call my doctor. I just took the prescription back and got it filled at another Walgreens. If you don't want to be treated like a criminal or wait days to get your prescription, don't waste your time and take your prescription elsewhere. read more
