This place is dirty disorganized and poorly stocked. They can never seem to have my ice cream in stock. The prices are astronomical. I realize its not a grocery store but come on this id highway robery! read more

I've been using this Walgreens for years. There are some nice folks working there but I've grown weary of some of the staff, including some of the pharmacist and their lack of concern for customers. To be perfectly clear some of these staff treat you like an unwanted step child. Unfortunately this seems to be getting worse. Aside from just rude staff and arrogant pharmacist... when you ask any questions or have any insurance issues arise it can turn into a humiliating experience if the wrong staff or pharmacist waits on you. Here are some other examples that have me looking for a new pharmacy. 1-I've tried several times to get my 5-7 monthly meds filled on a schedule where I pick them up at the same time. Nope....the pharmacist refused to help work that out and some months I have to make 4-5 trips to this Walgreens to pick up meds.(It took almost 2 years of not picking up each med when ready and waiting til all meds were ready to eventually get them all to fall on the same day...something a pharmacist could easily have helped me accomplish if they wanted to) 2-On another occasion a med was missing from my order and they asked the long medical name of it and I said I wasn't sure but if they could tell me what it looked like I could identify...the guy scoffed at me and said "heck if I know"...I asked surely someone knows what it looks like...he stomped off and got a pharmacist who came over and said "if you think we didn't fill your meds I'll pull the video tapes and prove we did!" I replied...geeez lady it's not like it's a controlled substance...it's one of my 3 heart pills and I'm out. She turned and stomped away. 3-On another occasion insurance declined paying for a med because the physician prescription had expired....after calling my Dr. to renew the med this Walgreen location still declined...I then went personally to my Dr's office and set there while they verified they had sent the previous prescription and watched as they sent it in yet again. Then back to Walgreens. Again declined. I asked to speak to a pharmacist to ask what was wrong. The rude staff person scoffed again and the pharmacist who was standing right there listening made me wait for 30 minutes...their eyes regularly glancing at me. I felt like a grade schooler being punished. All this time the pharmacist would come over and speak to numerous customers who were in line after me. When he finally came over he basically said not his problem and told me to talk to my Doctor. However the thing that makes me write my first Yelp review is that this use to be a very pleasant place to do business....it's only been the last few years that their service and the attitude of "some" of their staff and "some" of their pharmacist have become unpleasant and unhelpful. I suggest using another pharmacy. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I switched my prescriptions from cvs to walgreens because it is closer to my house. I tried to refill a medication but received email that it was delayed pending approval from my doctor. I had 5 refills left on the prescription! I called and spoke to someone and was told it was closed out and there was nothing they could do. I would have to wait until my doctor approved it. This was a weekend. I asked to speak with someone else who could do something. I was transferred to someone who also told me it was accidentally closed out and they could not do anything except give me an emergency supply. They did not know why it happened and could only wait for the doctors approval. This is ridiculous. How can you accidentally close out a prescription with plenty of refills and not give a good explanation?! I have never heard of this. I will not be using this pharmacy. read more

Will not be using this store again and I may move all my business out of Walgreens. I dropped by to get a prescription filled and went into the bathroom and could not believe the condition of the ladies room. The trash was over flowing onto the floor, there was sewage in the toilets and the smell of urine was incredible. I cannot understand how a store who wants their customers to trust them with their health, including dispensing medicine and GIVING FLU SHOTS, can be in such a state. There's no way that this store's management can help it's employees keep a sanitary environment for it's customers. I will be calling the health department in the morning and get some answers. read more

I took my friend here today after getting her from the hospital from a 5 week stay there, she was behind on scripts do to such a long stay. she was still in great pain so I took her threw the drive thru, originally Ray was helping us and he was sweet and understanding. He needed to run something by the pharmacist who ended coming to the window...talk about your raging pharmacist from hell! Mira talked down to my friend and made her cry. The doctor had miss wrote the script but told us the pharmacist would understand it...well she devil Mira yelled at my friend that she was trying to get her to break the law like she was a crackhead insteading of a women trying to recover from lung surgery. she walked away to fill the script of a whopping 2 pills...we were told 15mins. Mira sent Ray back and told him it would take two hours. during this every other employee had come to the window and apologized for Miras behavor it seems to be her normal way of treating others...no wonder this evil lady was just a floater pharmacist. this place is a joke and Mira is pathetic. read more

Sloppy, unreliable service. After years spent swallowing this bitter pill I feel I have no choice but to try another pharmacy in Austin.

They refused to unlock the "public" restroom for me, a paying customer. I should have peed on their floor. HORRIBLE customer care.

This pharmacy is always short staffed. Count on a half hour wait. Do yourself a favor and find another drug store.

I was a CVS customer for like 6 years, but they just recently stopped taking my insurance so I made the switch to Walgreens. There was some confusion with my insurance, and the pharmacist helped me out with patience and compassion - and he was wearing a mint green button-up with a matching tie, so fashion-forward! Great experience! read more

Slowest pharmacy and always long lines. After years of suffering we have moved all of our prescriptions over to HEB.

Their drive thru line on multiple occasions has had waiting periods for at least 35 minutes, because someone just won't show up at the window even if you've hit their "call button." It's ridiculous. read more

I went to this Walgreens to buy bandages and an arm sling for my boyfriend who had been in a severe longboarding accident that morning, receiving road rash on 70% of his right arm and shoulder. It was a little bit late in the evening and my injured boyfriend was with me all wrapped in bandages waiting by the door. I got the bandages, but was having trouble finding the arm sling. I asked one employee for help who wouldn't even look up at me and pointed in a general direction. Clearly that was unhelpful, so I checked again, then asked the other employee for more help. At first he did the same thing, pointing me in a general direction, I politely asked if he would mind showing me because I really wasn't seeing them and there were no other customers in the store. He very rudely slammed down the magazine in his lap, let out a huge sigh, snatched the arm sling off the wall and trudged back to the register with it without saying a word to me. IF my boyfriend was not injured and needing the sling and bandages i would have walked out right there. I could not believe the lack of customer service, and respect in general, to a paying customer with an INJURED individual! I apologized for the HUGE inconvenience I had caused him at nearly midnight while he was sitting on his behind and I'd been changing bandages all day. He never said a word and showed no remore for being so disrespectful. I have yet to shop here after the incident and don't plan on going back in the near future. read more

The worst pharmacy experience I have ever had twice. I only go here when my normal pharmacy doesnt have what i needed in stock. Everyone else who was at this counter was just complaining about about how bad it was also. It may be 24 hours, but it took me longer than that to get my prescription. I can't wait to never go back there! read more

Five stars solely for the lovely girl with the green hair. I don't know her name although I really should considering my boyfriend and I frequent this location a lot. She is by far the most upbeat person I have ever met at Walgreen's. What a sweet heart. She is extremely helpful and always expedites our trip by checking us out at the cosmetics counter. Her personality is fantastic. She has more pep in her pinky finger than I think most people have in their entire body. I know you're supposed to say "be well". It's the Walgreen's slogan or whatever but I feel like she genuinely means it. Give that girl a raise or at least a holiday bonus. And to her: thanks for being so positive! It's very refreshing. Also their Redbox has a much larger selection than most. That is all. read more

I know Walgreens is a sweat shop ... It's not the fault of the pharmacy workers, their company's business model is to under staff, which makes for mediocre to bad service. So I didn't think it was a big deal to wait in the drive through for 10-15 minutes. The person in the next lane seemed to have a complicated order. Mine was already filled ...a very simple prescription and all I had to do was pick it up. But someone pulled up behind me. After the first person left, the other car moved into that lane, closer to the window. The tech helped the person behind me in line, forgetting I had been there awhile. I realised this could go on all night, so I left without getting my prescription, though they could have given it to me five times in the duration of the time I sat there waiting. Again, the tech was probably one of the only ones there, probably busy and frazzled ... It's really the bad business practices of the greedy corporate level management. I can do this short term med via mail order or not at all, and I intend to. But I feel sorry for the person who has to use this location/company. Use another one if you can. read more

This Walgreens is in a category of it's own for unbelievably bad service. I recently ordered cards on-line for Christmas, it was supposed to be a one hour turn around. They call me the next day and say they have a broken printer, and that they will fill my order on Tues when a new printer arrived. It is now Friday, I call Walgreens and cannot even get through to the photo department. It takes me 15 minutes on hold to talk to a manager. After putting me on hold for another few minutes, the manager tells me my order was canceled, and then asks "is this what they told you?" As if she was accusing me of being some kind of moron. The call ended with the manager saying "well, sorry." ?!?! So, I highly recommend you avoid this one if you want photos or holiday cards printed. This Walgreens also has the worst pharmacy in Austin, so avoid the pharmacy as well. Even if there are just two people ahead of you in line, it will be a 30 minute wait in the pharmacy because they all work at a zombie pace. They also don't care that you are in line, you could be the only one there and see three of them back there labeling and sorting, they won't bother to stop what they're doing, you'll just have to wait 10-15 before they acknowledge you. read more
