I just purchased two Naked drinks from this location in which I did not realize were over a month expired until I got home. The workers here are extremely friendly though, and therefore makes this Walgreens a little better. Walgreens on College Ave. If you had a minus five stars, I would give it that. I went with my adult grandchild to get a prescription refilled. "Joe" the pharmacist on duty informed them that they had no insurance info on file so he didn't fill it. They explained that the prescription had been filled previously so they should have the info. He abruptly said they had nothing. When presented with their insurance info, he said it wasn't valid and was denied. After getting the info confirmed from the primary insured parent, he still would not accept. My grandchild called the insurance company and he refused to talk to them on their phone and insisted something changed with the insurance since the last refill. After a call directly to him from the insurance company he finally agreed to fill it. I complained about his attitude and told him he needed to work on his customer service . At this point he threatened to not give them the medication unless I left! It took over an hour to get a simple refill . Worst attitude in an employee I have encountered in a very long time. They are constantly filling prescriptions INCORRECTLY, and when I asked them about it, they argue with me. I would give them a zero if possible. when I told the pharmacist I had some documentation showing what the prescription should be, he and the counter girl actually started yelling at me and they told me if I didn't like it I could go someplace else. ! You would think running a department in a drugstore you would nicely explain it to someone what is going on. I CANNOT recommend ANYONE going there. read more

The pharmacy tech (female) is very rude. She yells your prescriptions out loud so other people can hear. I asked them about the HIPPA law and she stated that she is supposed to tell the customer what they are picking up. The store manager is rude and unprofessional (female) also. I went in for an appointment for a vaccine today. I called my insurance to make sure they covered it. When I got to Walgreens there was one person waiting behind me. I had filled out all the info. online. The tech said it wasn't covered. I tried to tell her it was and that I'd called to make sure. She kept telling me it wasn't so I told her there was a number she could call. She told me they were short-staffed and she certainly wasn't going to call the insurance today and that is was up to me to call. Which I had already done that morning. I asked who she would call and suddenly the male pharmacy guy yelled at me in a loud voice, "That's enough. She answered your questions. We are back upped!" I don't think my conversation with her lasted more than 2 minutes and a few more people behind me had just arrived. I am a senior citizen and I never in all my life had anyone yell at me the way this guy did in front of people. It was shocking and truly terrible behavior. Frankly, I think he can get away with it because they are short-staffed. But if I was his boss that would be enough for me to fire him. How dare he behave in such a manner. read more

Terrible experience with the pharmacy. My regular migraine prescription was saying "in progress" on the app for days then I went to check again today and it said to call the pharmacy. I called and the pharmacist had no idea why the prescription had not been filled, why I wasn't contacted, or why it switched from "in progress" to "call pharmacy" after a few days (without notifying me, I just happened to check the app). I regularly receive both calls and texts for prescriptions, so I know they have my correct contact info. I have never had to wait so long for my medication and had 2 migraines as a result and almost ended up in the hospital. The pharmacist was very kind and apologetic and said he would rush order it for me and it will hopefully be in tomorrow. I asked him what I could do to prevent this in the future, as this was my first time using a pharmacy since moving to Appleton a few weeks ago, and if this happened often. He acknowledged that it does happen quite often because their app is not good, and suggested I call before picking up prescriptions to make sure they are on top of it. I very much appreciate his honesty. I never had this problem with my former Walgreens though and I have 8 medication prescriptions all filled in different time intervals, so I will not be calling every time. I will be switching to CVS. It is awful to have to rely on medication to keep me out of the hospital from a pharmacy that is not on top of it. It makes me worry about people who have actual LIFE SAVING medication. read more

People are always nice here. Also the pharmacy is very helpful compared to others in the area I've tried! I will keep coming back!

This is about the worst pharmacy experience I have had. They were confused, not willing to look into anything or answer any questions about a new medication. This is different than my experience at other Walgreens/ not a good feeling. He was not even sure he gave me the right number of pills, but said he hoped it was right and would probably work out.
