I had yet another fantastic experience at Inspire Spa. This was my second massage here, and I was…read morefortunate to have Kameron as my therapist for both visits. Most recently, I booked a 60-minute Swedish massage, and it was excellent from start to finish. Inspire Spa is conveniently located on College Avenue, though it's somewhat discreet and easy to miss if you're not specifically looking for it. Once inside, you're welcomed into a clean, well-appointed lobby that immediately sets a relaxing tone. Before your treatment begins, you can choose from several complimentary enhancements, including a variety of aromatic sprays, which is a nice touch. The treatment rooms are thoughtfully designed, with comfortable lighting, minimal clutter, relaxing music at just the right volume, and temperature-controlled massage tables that can be adjusted to your preference. Kameron was attentive, professional, and highly skilled. She took the time to focus on the areas where I was experiencing the most pain and tension and adjusted her technique accordingly. What stood out most was that she truly delivered a full 60-minute massage, which unfortunately isn't always the case at other establishments. You'll certainly find less expensive massage options in the Appleton area, but in my experience, Inspire Spa stands out for both the quality of the massage and the overall customer experience. I highly recommend both Inspire Spa and Kameron to anyone looking for a high-quality massage experience.

Atmosphere: Parking is a wee bit tricky and you usually have to pay for it so bring change :) They are located on the second floor of the building. The reception area is really well lit and the reception desk is to the right immediately when you walk in. It has always been very clean in here. Service: Staff is friendly and prompt. The receptionist both times has been pleasant, professional and helpful. If I have a couple extra $$$ laying around from a paycheck I like to spend it here and enjoy a good massage.

This place is a magical playground for trying new colors and products!…read more I was warmly greeted by a store manager when I entered Ulta and immediately offered assistance in finding what I needed. The manager was helpful in pointing out long-lasting liquid lipstick options and she encouraged me to browse and try the products. I appreciated that she knew what the top-rated products were (I had also done research before stopping in) and she offered several options instead of pushing a particular brand. The highlight of my visit was when Danielle found me trying foundation colors on my own and offered to help me find my color. I told her I had tried several foundation products in the past (Mac, Smashbox, Loréal) and I wanted something that was long-lasting with medium coverage but didn't leave my face dry or oily. She recommended Urban Decay's All Nighter Liquid Foundation and so far I'm really pleased with how natural it looks. Danielle provided excellent customer service in helping me select a new foundation brush - the IT Airbrush OMG! Foundation brush (#106) is amazing! Also, the IT Brush Bath is definitely worth the $18. The Purifying Brush Cleanser is alcohol-free and smells amazing (lavender oil + lemon and orange extract).

My Concerns Regarding the Keratin Treatment…read more Firstly, she was reading the instructions directly from the product bottle, which immediately made me question her experience and familiarity with the treatment. She also appeared unfamiliar with working with Black hair. She struggled to detangle my hair and did not seem to understand the appropriate techniques for handling it. Another major concern was that she did not use a heat protectant, despite the high temperatures involved in the flat-ironing process. Additionally, she applied the keratin treatment while my hair was tangled, unbrushed and uncombed. I found this particularly concerning because I expected my hair to be properly detangled and prepared before the product was applied. The product instructions clearly stated that the hair should be sectioned and dried using a vent hair dryer. However, these instructions were not followed. Instead, she blow-dried my hair, applied the keratin treatment without properly detangling it, and proceeded directly to flat-ironing while my hair was still tangled. I had to specifically ask her to comb through my hair. Although she did so a few times, I repeatedly had to remind her to ensure that my hair was properly detangled before proceeding. By that stage, my hair looked worse than it did when I initially arrived at the salon. My understanding is that the purpose of a keratin treatment is to reduce frizz, improve manageability, smooth the hair and reduce excess volume. It should not leave someone's hair looking or feeling worse than it did before the treatment. Ultimately, I became increasingly uncomfortable with how the service was being performed. I felt that the manufacturer's instructions were not being followed and that the proper techniques for handling, preparing and treating my hair were not being applied. For these reasons, I made the decision to stop the treatment before proceeding any further. I believe clients deserve to feel confident that the professionals handling their hair have the necessary experience, knowledge and understanding of both the products they use and the techniques required to apply them correctly. Clients should not have to repeatedly instruct or remind a stylist to follow basic preparation and hair-handling procedures. My decision to stop the treatment was not unreasonable. It was based on the lack of confidence I had developed in the service being provided and my concern for the condition and safety of my hair.
