Due to Brooke departing paths with this spa I was willing to give another staff member a shot as I have always had good encounters here. I showed up for my appointment, and was told by the staff member she did not feel comfortable and would not be able to do my service. If clients are required to call 24 hours in advanced for cancellations to respect the staff members time the staff member should be able to do the same for the client. I felt as though my time was not valued by this business. I ended up going elsewhere, and will be from now on.

Since my appointment was at 9, and they opened at 9, I called a few minutes earlier hoping to get a person, since I didn't know how quickly they check messages, and I didn't want anyone wondering why I hadn't showed. The receptionist was beyond rude, saying she couldn't understand why I didn't call earlier than 5 minutes before my appointment since they had a 24 hour cancelation policy. I pointed out I hadn't planned on being sick so couldn't have called 24 hours in advance,  and called as early as I thought I could given my appointment was at 9, and they open at 9. She then went on to say I should have called earlier and left a message or texted because the owner always checks messages and they could have gotten other people in because there were a lot of people waitlisted. She had the snottiest tone in this 3 minute phone call where she fought with someone who was clearly sick.  I told her I was so upset with how she treated me,  didn't appreciate it,  was offended,  and wouldn't be coming back.  She just hung up on me.  I reached out to the owner,  who according to this receptionist,  is constantly checking messages but it's been crickets. For all of you who came after 9 who would have been exposed to a nasty bug if I would have come,  just know they apparently would rather I have kept the appointment than worry about your health.

The moment I walked in and met the owner, Tanya, I knew I was in the right place. I've traveled the world pretty extensively and I have to say I can't remember ever having had a better experience. I've been in spas ranging from 5 star Ritz Carltons to 5 star castles in Europe and though Rejuvenation can't compete with multimillion dollar surroundings it would still be my first choice at any time. I was so enthused that I booked one of my group's stage managers an appointment for the next day. Don't cheat yourself and miss this place, it's a gem. I can't wait to tour through Oshkosh again.

Instead of bleaching, she explained that bleaching at all would damage it (obviously) but she explained it like it would ruin it curly or straight but she had bleached hair too? I tried to do my undercut instead because I could just shave it, but she still refused, I'm guessing cause she didn't know how to do my hair. She offered me a moisturizing treatment because my hair was dry, (mind you because I didn't wash my hair for the upcoming bleaching) and then to shave my undercut? I ended up bleaching hair at home (2 round) and got to my desired level and dyed it at home and my curls were fine but not ruined like she explained it.

I thought this was all normal. Lately, during my fills, I have felt pain when she is replacing old lashes with new ones. I went to see someone else who took close-up pictures of the work done at the Day Spa. Up to 3 lashes were attached to my real lashes and my real lashes were badly damaged. This explains the pulling feeling I felt and the pain I felt when she pulled off old ones. When I called the Day Spa to report this they tried telling me that this is how fans are done. Not true! Lashes should go on one single lash when applied. Lashes should not be uncomfortable or hurt at all. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Once you've changed into your robe and slippers, that is your uniform for the day! The Kohler, Wi spa location was recently remodeled and is now very bright, airy and has more spaces to lounge and relax. The fourth floor has a sunny skylight, ice cave, jetted spa tub and plenty of lounge chairs for relaxation. Every lounge area has flavored waters, healthy bites such as almonds, fresh fruit and trail mix for you to munch on in between treatments. There is also a cafeteria (reservations required), where you can enjoy wraps, salads, grain bowls and light healthy meals before, in between or after spa services. The aestheticians are professional, polite and are very knowledgeable about skin health and care and take pride in perfecting their craft. Many of the products hail from France, which if you know...produces some of the best skincare products in the world! For overnight stays, The American Club hotel is adjacent to the spa, but you can also stay in the Carriage House where the spa is located so you don't have to step outside!
