This is a great pharmacy if you want them to forget to fill your prescription, for them to fill part of it or for them never to have your prescription. They will call and harass you about other services they offered. Worst mistake I ever made was moving my prescription's here for convenience. We were traveling from California to TN and my daughter needed to be seen by Urgent Care. We use Walgreens in Cali for all of our meds so of course that is why I came here. They said they do not accept our insurance, it isnt valid here and we had to pay out of pocket. They also weren't ready, so we had to loop around to go to the next driveway. This seems silly since they help people are both driveways, so why do I have to move over to the other driveway. read more

I looked online to see if they carried a certain product. Actually I was looking to see if Walmart carried it and they didn't but Walgreen popped up as being a place to buy it. This location is open 24 hours so I drove up to get it, looked all over the store but no dice. There were four or five sections that had lotions so I ended up pretty much wandering all over the whole store at 10:30 p.m. to no avail. By the time I established they didn't have it I was too tired to look for the other item I was after so I bought one item I found along the way and left. The clerk was nice though. Not only that, but they aren't going to carry the Texas Pralines anymore. I didn't buy them often but it was sure nice that this was the one location I knew of to buy them and at least I knew I could find them here if I had a craving. We made an online appointment to get my daughter a vaccine and after standing in line for 15 minutes. Go up to the front and was told even though we had an appointment they weren't doing same-day appointments. Why would they have an app that allows you to make an appointment if they aren't going to honor it!! Very dissatisfied!!! Don't go there! read more

I wish I could give this place negative stars! DO NOT fill your prescriptions here! Or any Walgreens for that matter! My daughter was released from BSA ER on 12-16-23 with 2 prescriptions. She tried to fill at another Walgreens location which I'm also writing a review on. (Hillside and bell) since she was lied to by the other location about having the medication she was told by the tech at the hillside location it was my daughters job to call around to other Walgreens to see if her medication was available. This is not true it is definitely NOT the patients job to call around. Walgreens have computer systems for a reason and they have to do the transfer. So she came to this location. She was told they would get it filled and she could wait. She sat there for about and hour then asked what was going on. They stated they couldn't get it done today after all and it'll be ready tomorrow 12-17-23. Well it's 12-17-23 and she still does NOT have her medication. She called up to the pharmacy several times this morning and was told they didn't know when it would be ready but that it would be today. She decides to drive up there this afternoon to see what's going on and the extremely rude tech, no customer service skills whatsoever tells her they don't carry this very common steroid and that it's coming from Dallas but she doesn't know when it will be there. My daughter starts crying and begs the tech to see if any locations in Amarillo have it in stock today. Once again this lazy tech states it's "not her job" to call around but it's up to my daughter to call all of the other Walgreens locations. Since when did this become a thing? I have never filled at a pharmacy that told me it was my problem. They have always told me they don't have it but it'll be in on this day and time or we can transfer it to this location today and they have it. This is unacceptable behavior, a person goes to a pharmacy to get the medication that they NEED and MUST have, not just for the hell of it. Don't go here unless you want to get the run around, lied to and leave without your medication. They don't care about your health here. I have been going to Walgreen's on 34th & Bell for a long time. Well to make this long story short, the only person that is helpful in there is Michelle. The manager that was there couldn't figure out how to refund my money or refund me the difference. So I said just give me my money back & she still was not giving me the right amount I had paid. When I was walking out Michelle asked what happened & told me she would make it right & she did after a few words with the manager. Hope I don't have to deal with that manager or whatever she is, again. I am giving this review only a 3, because the problem was corrected. read more

I have to say I've only been inside to drop off prescriptions. I decided to go through the drive-through when I was leaving. I've been to several Walgreens at the drive-through and usually if your prescription is Not ready they do not allow you to continue to sit in the drive-through. They make you go around and wait. That's not so with this Walgreens. I said in line behind someone in the drive-through (no exaggeration) for at least 20+ minutes. Yes it was my fault I pulled into close behind them I could not go around. And the car behind me was also too close to me and they did not move either. So I will probably be going indoors to pick up prescriptions. I'm not really trying to make this a complaint I'm just stating so others know. If there's a line at the drive-through I wouldn't get in it. read more

The worst Walgreens in Amarillo. I had to use this one for an urgent care visit on the weekend. The tech at the window talked to me through the drawer not over the intercom. She was rude and would not work with me. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. read more

Who decided a 24hr pharmacy should CLOSE early on a holiday weekend when thousands of people are being seen by the urgent care clinics in the area. Sick with RSV, Flu and sinus infections, etc! The health center we use saw 300+ patients over the Thanksgiving holiday. Difference between dumb & stupid. Dumb doesn't know any better. read more

Following in the sequence of events, my last Yelp! review saw me at ER Now on South Coulter, receiving a prescription for antibiotic eye drops. Little surprise that I now surface at a Walgreen's (my preferred pharmacy) having that prescription filled. As is usually the case in whichever Walgreen's location I find myself, my prescription was in-stock and ready when promised. Also in common with my Walgreen's experiences elsewhere, the pharmacy pick-up was understaffed and slow-- fortunately, I was at the front of the three customer line this time. The pharmacy clerk was (typically) quite friendly, but I had the same observation of the "visor hat" lady reported by Rachel R. a week before my visit. Our paths didn't cross, but I was able to observe her approach to her job. The final minutes of having my prescription filled also saw some pleasant conversation with the two women behind me in line, sparked by a passing observation by the clerk. I'm from NJ and was in Amarillo on a business trip. The woman behind me was in the process of relocating from Missouri, while the woman behind her was in town, also on business, from Indiana. My travels through both states allowed me to share some discussion about their hometowns, local restaurants and attractions, etc. While I do travel a lot, it is rare that two cities known to me come up in the same discussion. Adding to the irony, the businesswoman from Indiana was able to very intelligently discuss my home area. It truly is a "small world!" read more

Been waiting in line for an hour to PICK UP my already filled prescription. One person in line in front of me. I have a Sick child, and they are sitting here taking care of this customer in front of me, getting pricing, calling other places to see if they have in stock, yet when I dropped off, they wouldn't even give me a price. Pharmacy takes forever to fill Rx. When I had a very sick child and asked them to rush they refused. 2 hour wait.

On Sunday, August 8, 2020, I awoke with a raging bladder infection. I visited an urgent care facility and it was confirmed. They prescribed Cipro 500 mg for 7 days. I asked that they call it in to Wal-Green's on 34th and Bell, as that is my regular pharmacy. I picked up my prescription and exited the store. In my car, I checked the label be sure it was what had been prescribed. The label was correct, it stated Cipro and 14 pills. I opened the bottle and, for some reason, I emptied the entire bottle into my hand. I noticed right away there did not seem to be enough pills. I counted them and realized they had shorted me four (4) pills. I returned to the store and went back to the pharmacy. The tech corrected the number of pills. I asked to speak with the pharmacy manager. I felt this is something very important that should be brought to the attention of a person in charge. He listened to my story and replied,"Yeah, we'll put a note in your file to double count your pills." I was flabbergasted. This could have been a very dangerous situation. If I had not checked the prescription or counted my pills, I very well might have not had enough to completely cure the infection and we all know doctors caution us to finish the entire prescription. The response of the pharmacist clearly said he thought I was just a nuisance to be so upset over being shorted on pills. Shouldn't they double count the pills in every prescription filled there? Now I wonder if the have ever shorted me on my prescription for thyroid supplements. It is an ongoing prescription and sometimes, it seems I run out of pills sooner that I expect. I got no satisfaction from Wal-Green's in this matter. read more

The store is always well-stocked, well-staffed, and clean. The management and employees obviously take pride in their work, and it shows through their customer service and store/stock maintenance. The pharmacy staff is just as friendly and efficient as well. This is the best location I've been to Amarillo!! read more

I had to pick up some prescriptions from the pharmacy, and I know that they can be rather slow. I was running low on funds, and when the total was given to me, I did not have enough. I told them I would have to come back for it later, as I was $10 short. A person working in the Pharmacy actually paid for them for me so that I wouldn't have to be without them. I don't know if kindness is dead, but the people here do make me think that there is hope for humanity. I love the people that work at the pharmacy. read more

Always had great service. Pharmacy is 24 hours and is always swamped. Just have to take your patience with you. Pharmacy technician spot on with comparing my insurance plan with the W Card to see which way was cheaper for me. read more

Drive thru takes at least 10 minutes everytime I have been there, so irecommend parking and going inside. Saves you time and it's better for your health. This location is popular because it is located at a high traffic area. I recommend visiting after 9pm if you want to avoid a waiit. read more

This pharmacy seems to always be full, and the line is always long. I can only think that the reason is, is because it's open 24hours! I hate this pharmacy! The people that work there seem so irritated! I would be to if I worked there. Not all the people that work there are grouchy and rude, but some are. Its so hard to stay positive when your waiting in line to be waited on by grumpy people. And since your there getting Rx's, you probably don't feel that great either.
