This pharmacy has a drive thru! This helps immensely for disabled people! With both Rite Aid and Bi Mart pharmacies closing, this location has more customers now. Expect the wait times to fluctuate. Just like the hospital ER or urgent care, you never know how busy it will be, or how long you will have to wait until you get there. Plan accordingly. I have been there when 5 or 6 people were in line and also at times when there was no one in line. They have had staffing problems. No one likes to get yelled at every day. And most of Us have had to deal with insurance companies, they can be a nightmare! At the same time, people with illness and pain can get irritated more easily. Patience is a virtue. read more

this pharmacy has gone to the pit. dropped off a paper script as well as doc sending in an electronic one. 2 hours later came back and waited in line for 30 minutes and neither was filled. told I would get a text. 2mAn hour before closing still no text. went back and only person in line. Took 10 minutes before any interaction. Told antibiotic filled but pain med wasn't. Possibly it would be done in 30 minutes or next day. Took antibiotic and opted to go back next day for pain med. No text had ever been sent for either script. Went back mid day on the following day, waited 40 minutes only to be told it wasn't ready! Requested return of paper script and went somewhere else. Understaffed, long wait times and lack of urgency when it comes to handling prescriptions and getting in contact with Healthcare providers. I have been given so much hassle about medications that should have been the easiest thing to get filled. I've waited over three weeks for medication I cannot live without. In addition to the understaffed and staff they do have are not friendly and not helpful. I have often been treated with passive aggressiveness when coming in to pick up certain medications and even got asked one time if the medication I was prescribed was really for me and if I really needed it. I don't think they should be putting their moral opinions above their job and I dread coming to pick up my prescriptions now. read more

The Walgreens at 1700 SE Pacific Blvd, Albany, Oregon is the worst run pharmacy I've ever encountered! They are ALWAYS under staffed. This indicates to me that they are not recruiting and retaining effectively or don't care and respect their customers enough to staff more people. I called at 1:00 p.m. to talk to a live person in the pharmacy because I do not have access to my prescription number. I was put on hold with one person ahead of me (according to the recording). I was on hold for 28 minutes and the pharmacy went on a 30 minute meal break. I can remain on hold for the 30 minutes and have my call answered in the order in which it was received or call back later and wait again. I will hold. This is not the first time I've encountered terrible customer service at this pharmacy. It's so bad that I've moved all my prescriptions to another pharmacy, but this prescription is at Walgreens from awhile ago, and I need to speak to a person to get it switched to my new pharmacy. Routinely, this pharmacy has extraordinarily long wait times, lack the medication needed to fill my prescription, and limited hours. The poor staff that do work here are often not treated well by the customers because the customers are irritated and annoyed at best. Walgreens pharmacy has lost my business because this location does not care enough about their employees or their customers to fix this problem. I have repeatedly had frustrations trying to deal with this store. The most recent one was being told they don't do Covid testing after I had secured a confirmed appointment with them via the county Public Health Department. I asked to speak to the manager and was told they don't currently have one. Needless to say... I am done with this store. read more

Do NOT go here for a Covid vaccination. I understand that they are busy and it appears very understaffed but then don't make appointments you can meet! I waited over an hour and a half past my appointment time and finally went up to the counter to say I couldn't wait any longer. The pharmacist had been giving vaccinations but then left that station to go behind the counter filling prescriptions. So no one was doing the shots. The tech who I spoke to was surprised I hadn't gotten the vaccination and came out and gave it to me. One woman before me had waited 2 hours past her scheduled time. So if you have nothing better to do and want to spend hours in this pharmacy lobby knock yourself out. Otherwise go somewhere else. read more

This pharmacy is unbelievable. I've been trying to get through to the pharmacy for the past week, waiting at times over a 45 minutes, only to have someone pick up the phone and then hang up. The reason for calling is because I ordered prescriptions online and then received a text saying there's a technical issue. Examples: Their online site is inaccurate, my husband was given a years supply of one of his medications because they kept filling the prescription and I am unable to reach them by phone. Just real sloppy And inexcusable. I'm sure their staff is doing the best they can, but some of the issues we've encountered is just bad oversight of their support technology. Monday 29th March, word got out that they had "extra" covid vaccine doses. By 3pm they got swamped by the response. Every single employee was working hard and harder. Everyone kept their wits and senses of humor. They got extra staff on to fix some mix ups with folks who were waiting far too long for their appointment s and sped thru the backlog in short order. I'm going to have to add my two cents to my frustration with this pharmacy. Always a long wait time to pick up refills or get flu shots. This year I went somewhere else, where it was quicker and easier. Now I'm on hold for almost 20 minutes because my doctor used this pharmacy in error and I'm waiting on a prescription for an infection that isn't getting any better as I wait since yesterday afternoon to be able to pick it up. I will be making sure all my records reflect that this is not my pharmacy of choice and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Just can't handle the wait and inability to get a human being to help me when the phone system doesn't cover all issues. Arggggh! read more

Weakest customer service of any pharmacy I've ever been to. Waited for an hour with a line 15 people deep for a prescription while seeing employees casually walking in and out taking breaks. I know you gotta take a break, but maybe wait till the rush is over? Also, a guy obviously in pain is waiting for his meds. They make him get up numerous times to come over to them and then say he has to wait longer. Then they call him on his phone while he's sitting right in front of them to tell him it's ready. Later that week, my wife needs some meds. I tell her don't go to Walgreens, but the doc already sent it in... at 5:30. She calls around 8 and they say it won't be ready till 9. That one star is actually for me. For not walking out on Daniel or making another appointment somewhere else for my second COVID-19 vaccine. But, like a good leader I followed everybody else who was willing to sit on the same chair everybody else sat previously. I stood on that isle watching like a hawk. Praying somebody would at least wipe down the seat after each victim I mean patient received the vaccine. Nobody seemed to be bothered by it since COVID-19 can contaminate your clothes for hours...but it won't get you if you don't rub your face. But never mind any safe measurements and precautions. However, The caveat here is that Daniel uses his watch as a medical tool to place his bandages on people. I have never seen a medical professional place the unwrapped bandage on their personal watch before applying on people. Then turn around and say it is "sanitized a few times a day." If this isn't trash I don't know what is. Throw the whole Walgreens pharmacy away. read more

I went in to pick up my prescription and was told it would be another hour. I was not told why. I got a call from the automated pharmacy saying my prescription was delayed again. The pharmacy closed. I did not get my medication. I called the pharmacy once they opened Saturday. Now, I am being told there is another delay and I can't have my meds until Monday. When I asked the pharmacy technician why they said another hour instead of telling me the truth so I could call my dr and have my meds sent to a pharmacy that can fulfill my prescription I was muted then hung up on. This is terrible business practice. I just had major surgery, and now have to wait for pain relief because of the incompetent staffing at this pharmacy. I feel that withholding medications is malicious neglect. read more

Now, the negatives: We were told it would take 15 minutes. 20 minutes later, we were told another 10 minutes. We finally said "We will be back tomorrow." Only reason there is a star is I had no choice!! This Pharmacy is beyond BAD!! Customer service is a JOKE and you know it's bad when your doctors office tells you " you should really change pharmacies". The line to pick up your medication is ridiculous, too many people working in a small space, I know why they can't ever find a prescription that's "ready". There are bags of prescriptions knee deep on the floor. When you get an automated message saying your RX is ready 90% of the time it's not. I have been given the WRONG items from this place even. Have seen children walking around in the back where the pharmacists are supposed to be working. I've left a message with the Oregon board of pharmacy for this particular location. I have family members that are both pharmacy techs and full blown pharmacists. They hear these stories and can't understand why in the world this place is even allowed to operate.. The only reason I go here is because my particular insurance has a contract with CVS and for a 90 day supply it's my only option. I've decided to go month to month from here on just so I can go elsewhere. I would not refer an absolute enemy to these people. Very un professional and flat out rude. Not to mention the slowest place I've EVER DEALT WITH. Wish more people would leave their opinions about this place honestly. read more
