The only negative is that the pond has a lot of algae but other than that it's great. I come here for picnics too. Even though 4 geese call this pond their home, there's never a lot of poop on the ground which is always a plus. I believe this park to be dog friendly. This park always makes my day. It's a little hidden gem :) that's why I'm always here. There is some parking on the local streets so you can drive here to enjoy it. Come down an enjoy it

It served as an elementary school until two new elementary schools were built in Manhasset and it became a park in the late 1980s. It is the site of most major Manhasset public events including Christmas Tree lighting, Memorial Day and 9/11 ceremonies. Weddings take place in the gazebo occasionally. The children's playground is very popular every day. It is in the center of town by Town Hall, the LIRR station, restaurants and shops. Many people sit there to have a cup of coffee, watch the children play, see their neighbors, or watch the world go by.
