It's also close to downtown in case you have any errands you need to do on your way.

There's a structure with rolling pieces and I would definitely see a kid falling and hurting themselves or getting a finger pinched while moving across. The swingset has swings for different stages and abilities which I love. People form the community gave back to build this wonderful park and it's a great addition to the neighborhood. Be careful walking across the street. The multiple stop signs make drivers impatient and they speed up almost as if to scare you out of the way, despite rushing to another stop sign.

This is a pretty large playground, and a playground that's a little different from traditional playgrounds. There's a structure for small children, and play areas for older and older children. There are spaces made to blend in to the natural area. It's also designed to be a park for children of all abilities, sensory and physical, and is meant to allow children of different abilities to play together. I don't have kids, but if I did, I would totally take them to this playground!

Nice area to play baseball and kids friendly playground that clearly states that parents must be supervising the kiddies at all times . There is a elementary school steps from the park which is closed now due to the coronavirus mess which explains no little brats running around. Not a big park but it's spacious enough for folks to bring the kids , play a little baseball , have a no grilling picnic or just enjoy being outdoors when weather permits .

The large sundial sculpture is an interesting attraction. There is a little diagram nearby explaining how the sundial works. There are also a few sculptures there as well. I never knew a Park could be simple, yet beautiful…read more Having selected this Park on a whim, I wasn't sure what I was going to expect but I was pleasantly surprised to see ample parking spaces, walking paths, and a manicured area. On one summer day, my boyfriend and I began exploring by walking on stone paths atop a hill here we eventually came upon a Gazebo. There was an air of romanticism as the names of couples were carved in its structure and the sparrows sang an unusual melody in quiet of the dewy morning. After crossing the bridge characteristic of this park, we sat on a bench by the large pond in which the swans and ducks call home. The reflection of the trees in the water along with their slight rustling by the wind gave us such peace. Bruce Park definitely made my trip to Greenwich even more special! :)

A decent little park. One of the better ones in Stamford…read more 2 recent October Sunday visits I saw quite a few dog walkers, joggers and fishermen. Yet the park was relatively empty. Quiet and peaceful. The parking lot (free parking!) is a potholed mess. But the 3/4 mile gravel walking path is in good shape. Lots of geese pooping all over the grass. Stay on the walking path. If you attempt to venture down to waters edge you will encounter empty beer cans, tons of broken glass and condom wrappers. (Why is Stamford such a pit?)

Looking at Kosciuszko Park, I saw that there was no fee, only fees for using the common area/Gazebo. We got there at about 5PM on a Friday afternoon. As noted on the website, there is no fee to enter the park. There is a large parking lot there and the only people that were in the park were a few runners and a few local older groups who seem to be regulars. The walking trails are gravel and dirt with lots of goose poop in the grass, so you can kiss those fresh all white sneakers goodbye if you are not careful. The park is a nice free option to get some good views while taking a walk. I do plan on returning on the nicer days to the visit the other fee-based parks, including Cove Island Park, as they seem to be a lot bigger and offer more to do.

It is pretty tiny, although it looks bigger because it's attached to a nearby sports field. There is a small area with a stretch of lawn with old trees, benches and picnic tables. There is also a playground area for the kids. It's not really anything to make a specific trip to, but it is, I imagine, a great place to spend a break or lunch if you work in one of the nearby businesses.

We've attended a couple of their scheduled events. The beautiful, modern, minimalist auditorium incorporates the surrounding landscape seamlessly. Excellent acoustics and high-end electronic equipment help the speakers and performers give their best. A recent sold-out lecture by Dr. Robin Wall Kimmerer was inspiring, challenging and warmly entertaining. It was followed by a marvelous chamber music concert featuring a collection mostly contemporary works influenced by a connection with nature. Grace Farms' mission is to support nature, arts, justice, community and faith. It's a much-appreciated place to refocus and refuel in these difficult times.

There is plenty to do there from an indoor basketball court to a complimentary tea tasting. There is also a library and plenty of common areas where people can read or get work done. Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of different free events, so would recommend checking their schedule online before going. It wasn't super busy when I went, but would suggest getting a free ticket online in advance just in case.
