Great visit to the Gardens. Known of them for a while now but finally made the 25-minute journey on a late Sunday morning. The free gardens are open to the public on the weekends, from 10am - 4pm during the mid-spring through early-fall months. (April - November) I followed the general directions to the front gate where I was greeted by a staff member who took my name, phone number and directed me to the visitor's parking lot. Once parked in the designated visitor's lot, there is a visitor's information window as well as bathrooms there. From there, you can start your walk throughout the gardens at your own pace. There are lots of sculptures and scenic paths to explore. Particularly lovely during the fall months. I took about 1.5 hours to cover the entire gardens. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

There are several sculpture garden around NYC proximity, but each have their disadvantages. It could be too far, high admission price, small collection, too crowded, no parking or not well maintained enough. Enter Pepsico sculpture garden, it got all: less than an hour from Manhattan, free, spacious area with neat landscape, quiet, plenty of parking with quality artwork (ie Henry Moore). I find their collection more interesting compare to Storm King's. The sculptures are placed along the pebbles path, so take that walk to enjoy them max. It would take approx 1 hour to finish the outer loop. If after you are done and still need your art fix, go visit Neuberger museum, only 5 minutes drive away, small but packed with AC to cool your body after those walk under the sun.

Right off I-287, there's probably one road that leads you to another world- literally. I actually got lost, one day after work, trying to meet up with a friend. Mind you, Purchase is like "right there" to me. Large sculptures around their grounds kind of give you a gist of what to expect, but was stopped, right at the gate. The attendees filled me in on visiting hours and was told, the Sculpture Garden opens just weekends from 10am-4pm...... Pulled up to the Parking gate mid morning on a Saturday and was given a laminated "Parking Pass" to keep on my dashboard. Followed the barricades in what seemed like a maze that further led me to another parking lot- close to the Garden. Attendant at the log cabin-kiosk, welcomes visitors with pamphlets and maps. PepsiCo Sculpture Garden has been around since the 60's offering the perfect spot and landscape for outdoor art. Who knew? On this side of Westchester? You can follow any path you want, but folks are advised to stay on the pebble road. Past the trees and Evergreen bushes- the Garden, opens to a few large sculptures. Keep walking, and you'll see more. The Garden is cool for families and couples. Come with the intention of spending time here and take your sweet time. Wear comfortable shoes, sneaks, whatever- just get ready to freaking walk. So ok......you may not get lush flowers upon flowers, but you get the Art here. I honestly think, it's freaking Genius!!!

I was introduced to sculpture parks by the founder on an amazing travel Facebook group I joined. She has traveled all over the world and a few of her destinations were local sculpture parks in the USA. I was in awe of her pics and started searching sculpture parks I could see locally and then venture into internationally when my funds allow. :-) I randomly visited this park a year ago and was informed it was closed and they didn't have a definite date when it would re-open. I checked sporadically to see if it opened and saw it was just opened on the weekends. It was about an hour drive from Manhattan since I was coming from work. I wanted to arrive when it opened to beat the crowds I was expecting. To my surprise my car was the 2nd one in the parking lot. Throughout my visit to this park, the crowds never showed. Admission was free, woo hoo and you receive a map of the grounds. They have a small visitor/information booth. I did see a few people jogging the premises on the runners path. The park was absolutely breathtaking and a lot bigger than I expected. The grounds were immaculate and there were a lot of groundskeepers throughout cleaning/up keeping the park. It took about 1.5 hours for me to walk the entire area. The weather was really hot and I noticed there weren't a lot of places to sit since you were unable to sit on the grass. My favorite area was the lake like area with the water spiking up in the air. The mist from the water felt so good in the heat. There were a few sculptures that really stood out to me. What an amazing company location to work at with garden and cool sculpture views. This is definitely a place you should bookmark to check out and enjoy the serenity and beautiful greenery throughout the park.

If you are looking for a very pleasant sculpture park experience not far from NYC at no cost, check out Pepsi Gardens' sculpture park! Pepsi Gardens, is very close to the Hutchinson River Parkway as well as I-287. So anyone from Connecticut or the NYC area can come around to see this park with less travel time required compared to Storm King in the Hudson Valley or Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton NJ. This park is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than both parks mentioned above. But it is worth visiting for a short quick stroll if you live or are visiting nearby! The sculptures are all spread out in very gorgeous landscaping surrounding PepsiCo's Purchase HQ Campus. They have a beautiful pond in the back of the HQ buildings. Its a pleasant walk to go through to see each sculpture. If you love walking you'll love this park. This park is perfect for those who would like to spend only a few hours enjoying some art! If you want a fun-filled day with numerous activities in the Westchester Area, you can certainly add this place to that one day!

This is FREE...which is a great impetus for a bored family. The sculptures are wide ranging and very eclectic. The grounds are gorgeous and can take an hour to explore. It is a very wide and spacious park-like excursion. Plus PepsiCo has a downloadable interactive guide which allows you insight into the artists and explanations of the sculptures you're seeing. This is a wonderful and rich experience for a nice weekend afternoon but be aware, there is MUCH MORE to see than what the existing path shows. As we left we saw so many more sculptures we didn't see on the pathways that were marked. If PepsiCo has other pathways to see these other sculptures, they are not evident or easy to find. I suggest asking at the entrance how to get to the ENTIRE sculpture gardens around the front and side of the building...otherwise you'll feel a bit cheated even though there's no entrance fee. But, again, it's a gorgeous stroll and very interesting works to walk around and enjoy!

Who knew that PepsiCo's corporate headquarters had so many sculptures by the likes of Auguste Rodin, Max Ernst, Joan Miro, Alexander Calder, and Henry Moore? They sit on more than 100 acres of pristinely landscaped grass, surrounded by trees whose branches appeared manicured to achieve a certain neatness. The grounds were so perfect that we freaked out when we saw a single dandelion! (Lily pond was neglected though). Don't miss the magnificent totem poles by Canadian Native artist Robert Davidson, and the wonderfully inventive "Caryatids" by Judith Brown -- it looks like classical ruins, except it's made of junkyard metal.

The sculpture garden at Pepsico's world headquarters in Purchase NY includes 45 different sculptures. It is a favorite place for summertime pre-wedding photographs near the lagoon. The garden is open to the public, don't be intimidated by the security gate! And admission is FREE!

There is something incredibly grounding about catching the park early in the morning, especially when there's a blanket of fog hovering right over the Duck Pond. We use this time to soak in the serenity and wonder of nature, establishing peace with ourselves before we have to give the rest of our day to others. As the oldest coastal public park in Greenwich (Robert Moffat Bruce donated the 100-acre estate back in 1908), it's just a beautiful, historic piece of land. It is always incredibly clean and impeccably well-maintained. The landscape transitions seamlessly from open wooded areas to tranquil ponds with benches and scenic salt marshes. If you are into photography, this place is an absolute goldmine for flowers and wildlife. It's a diverse sanctuary for both resident and migratory birds. Depending on the season, I've been able to photograph everything from Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Mute Swans, and Double-crested Cormorants to Raptors like Red-tailed Hawks, Ospreys, and even wintering Bald Eagles. The songbirds (like Carolina Wrens and Tufted Titmice) and winter visitors like Buffleheads and Wood Ducks make it a birdwatcher's paradise. Beyond the wildlife and walking/jogging paths, the park has a ton of amenities--a great children's playground, gazebos, picnic areas, and scattered public art and sculptures. For sports, they have baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, and even a lawn bowling and croquet court. Public restrooms are also available and kept clean. Whether you're looking for a vigorous morning jog, a spot to bring the family, or just a quiet place to sit on a bench and watch the ospreys dive, Bruce Park is a local gem. Highly recommend an early morning visit!

The large sundial sculpture is an interesting attraction. There is a little diagram nearby explaining how the sundial works. There are also a few sculptures there as well. Very safe with lots of friendly park-goers. Public welcome...no town/county/state restrictions to my knowledge.

Honestly, there is no better place to watch the sunrise. Locals call it Tod's Point (it used to be the private estate of J. Kennedy Tod back in the day before the town bought it in the 40s), and it's easily one of the best spots in Fairfield County. On a clear morning, you get these stunning views across the Long Island Sound, the Stamford Harbor Ledge Lighthouse, and you can even see the Manhattan skyline peeking out in the distance. The park itself is huge (around 147 acres) with a great 2.5-mile loop that's perfect for morning walks, though you'll always see plenty of runners and cyclists out too. It's got a bit of everything: sandy beaches, beautiful flower gardens, and wooded areas. If you're into photography or bird watching, bring your camera. The wildlife here is incredible because of the tidal marshes and Eagle Pond. We've spotted everything from herons and egrets to ospreys and hawks. A few practical tips if you're planning a visit: * The Setup: Right after you pass the entry booth, you'll see the historic Innis Arden Cottage. There's plenty of parking spread out--across from the cottage, by the sailing school, and an overflow lot at the very tip of the peninsula. * Passes & Timing (Summer vs. Winter): From May 1st to October 31st, you need a pass. It's free for Greenwich residents if your plates are linked to your OnePass, but if you're a non-resident, you have to buy a single-entry pass online beforehand. They do not sell tickets at the gate. Also, no dogs are allowed during the summer season. * The Off-Season: From November 1st to April 30th, entry is free and dogs are allowed. Officially they're supposed to be leashed, but just a heads up that most people let their fur babies run free on the beach during these months. * Pro-Tip: If you walk or ride your bike in, entry is free year-round! Whether you're looking for a peaceful morning walk, a place to kayak/sail, or just want to sit on the beach and read, Tod's Point is an absolute gem. We feel incredibly lucky to have this in our backyard.
