My kid is ill and vomits daily, and of course the dang thing died when I had not done laundry for over a week. Plus we need clean clothes for another hospital thing next week. The laundromats in our town are sketchy. That is all I am going to say about that. We hopped on google and yelp and decided to try Waldport. We had a 5 star experience at this laundromat. It was clean, most of the machines were working, it was not too busy, and our clothes got clean and dried. There is no bathroom and there are no vending machines for pop or snacks which might contribute positively to the clean aspect. We brought our own quarters. $3 to wash, $1.50 to dry. One quarter got eaten. Could have been worse, right? We did hear that they are not always open when they are supposed to be. I guess we lucked out. This was my kid's first laundromat experience that he remembers ( I was still married for our last one so that was probably 15 years ago). He loved it and now wants to own a laundromat. Lol.

In college, that was standard operating procedure, because everyone just left their clothes in the wash, which seems to happen here quite a bit. Im not convinced that this is totally accepted by most, but i fully support it if all machines are in use or inoperable.

They installed service at the house next door to me. Their "installation" consisted of finding a 2…read moreby 4 that was laying in a trash pile and nailing it to the side of the house and then stringing their cable and putting up their box. The 2 by 4 started leaning and the cable started sagging until it was snagged by a truck passing by and half tore the 2 by 4 off the house, letting the cable hang to 10 feet above the road. I called and was told it was 45 minutes on hold for a representative. I drove to the local office to report the safety hazard and was told to just cut it myself. What? So I did. I got the 2 by 4 completely removed, then cut the wire to the house and the wire to the cable itself. Kicked the cable to the side of the road. No one has come out to coil it and put it back on the main line or anything else. If this is their first impression, the installation, imagine how bad the customer service and/or repairs would be! I work from home so I can't be without internet. I decided not to use them after I saw their installation....so very unprofessional!!

Absolutely do not sign up with ASTOUND BROADBAND, it's a profoundly deceptive, dishonest company…read more You will never ever reach anyone by phone or by chat. All of this is deliberate. I'm filing photo-documented complaints to the Better Business Bureau, consumer protection fraud, and the Attorney General of Oregon. I switched to spectrum which is amazing but then had to obviously cancel my astound account. After spending over three hours trying to figure out how to do that because whenever I called, They would put me hold, for over an hour, without ever having actually speak to anyone and trust me, no one has ever ever going to pick up that phone. They bank on you becoming frustrated and walking away, that endless phone loop is fake and this company's pathetic business model is to prevent you from canceling. NONE OF THEIR LISTED EMAILS WORK! SEE BELOW! That's it folks! That's the way they make their money! I highly recommend spectrum and if you go with astound, you've been warned and grow a brain. UPDATE: you can see below that someone named Jacqueline told me to private message her but what she's not sharing is that I've already done that several times without any response, starting with my Twitter account. I'll just go into the office on Monday and we'll see what happens. I've attached the latest bill they sent me. Really Jaqui? 300+ dollars for what? Unbelievable. FURTHER UPDATE: remarkably, someone from their company sent me a working email address but guess what it's for an exclusively for? That's right, negative yelp reviews. I also found out with a $345 charge was Four and guess what that was for? Equipment that I hadn't returned within 24 hours of canceling the account. Really? You think your router etc. is worth $345? This is called retaliatory billing. All going into my reports. I will say that the elderly gentleman at the Waldport Store is wonderful and the technicians themselves were great. All of the issues are topped down starting with the invisible CEO.

I asked if I need a confirmation number and he said 'no', he will call me a few days before. I was skeptical because it is the coast and contractors are notorious for last minute snaffu's. It came to a few days before our move and they called to confirm! Even the Uhaul changed the truck we reserved 3 weeks ahead. (We moved some stuff ourselves). The guys called that morning to say they'd be delayed for half an hour. I was impressed they called to let me know. They arrived and walked the house to see what they'd be taking and figure logistics. Our house was quirky. We did have a cargo lift in the back and I knew they'd enjoy that. They each wore masks so I felt protected. They were professional, friendly and very careful with our belongings. We had two men....Dylan and Zeb. They were fun! They made our move easy and affordable. They informed me that they will move items for seniors...like dressers etc., that are too heavy for elderly people. I told him my husband and I are with our local fire department and we do Fire Prevention and smoke alarms for people, mostly seniors. That is an excellent service that Bekins should be advertising more. I think that is a fantastic service! It really helps community members. A five star experience. Extremely affordable...fast, friendly and professional. Thank you Dylan and Zeb and Bekins!!
