We moved to Newport, OR the day before Thanksgiving, Nov 27, 2019 and needed help to unload the 26' UHaul. We weren't sure of our exact arrival time but Cross Town Movers was ready to help us with just a tentative day and time as we were coming from CA and likely to hit bad weather that would affect our timing. Our moving help was with Jeb and Lenny. These guys were AWESOME! They were on time and did not stop working until it was completely unloaded. They finished 2 hours ahead of the time we contracted for and adjusted our bill accordingly which was not done with the outfit we used to load us up in CA so we did not expect that on this end.....real nice surprise! We had a few steps they had to use to get our stuff into the house and some heavy items, too, but to them it was NOT a problem, and to us their help was invaluable. We used Cross Town Movers just to move a short distance in Waldport. We had some delicate items to move and we were worried. Zeb, Dylan, and Tim showed up and were polite, so careful, respectful, and hard working. They moved fast and careful. They showed up on time and ready to work. This move was unique as it was the day there were terrible fires in Lincoln County. The day looked dark all day and the air was full of smoke. It was a scary day and tough to breathe. Not one complaint from these guys. They seemed to love their jobs and were proud of the job they did. We spent $660 and it was worth every penny. I highly recommend these guys. Not one thing missing or damaged. In fact, the worst thing that happened is one guy came to me to tell me have put a thumbprint on our freshly painted handrail. Really? Dirt? This company was recommended to us by our real estate agent who had used them for his move and was pleased with the result. Our team, Zeb, Lenny, and Steve, moved us from Lincoln City to Depoe Bay. They showed up on time and they were personable, accommodating, and professional. Ours was a tough move because we were leaving a three story house and moving into a three story house so, there were a lot of stairs to climb during a day which turned out to be longer and warmer than normal. They worked well together and their positive attitude and friendly demeanor never flagged. Everything got to the right place and nothing was damaged along the way. Called several moving companies to move a fountain out of my wife's van to our back patio and every company said they were at least two weeks out. I said its a small job maybe twenty minutes and of course I would pay the minimum. The only company that would help was Cross Town Movers who said its a small job and they would do it on their way to another job first thing in the morning in a couple of days. I used Cross Town on June 14, 2019 to move from Newport to Salem. The calls to set it up were done efficiently and on moving day Zeb and Lenny were right on time. They worked quickly but carefully. When ready to head to Salem, they explained what time they thought they'd be there which included a fuel stop and a lunch break. Zeb, Lenny and J.D. were great! They were early (big points for this!), came prepared for our coastal rain and worked quickly too. They had to move a very awkward mermaid statue on a heavy base across the road and up two flights of stairs, phew, tired just writing that!
