Everything was great. We called about 15 minutes before to see if they had seating for 5 and they said yes. When we got there the nice lady greeted us and asked if we were the ones that called for 5. They had a table all ready for us. Definitely felt like home in there. It was a vibe, all the workers were in a great mood and very attentive. The food was delicious and custom to our preferences. We got here at 7:30 and the place was full by 7:50. We had chilequiles and cafe de olla. Good price for the amount of food you get. We were able to split the plate between two people. The cafe de olla was fantastic and we would order it again. It seems they will refill you on pot coffee for free. Very friendly waitstaff. This morning I met up with my brother and his family for brunch and they suggested wake up cafe. After hearing about the generous portions my husband and I split the chile relleno plate, my brother ordered huevos rancheros, his girlfriend ordered the chilaquiles, and my niece opted for bacon and eggs. As mentioned everything was a large portion and everything was delicious...there was very little leftover. The service was good and food came quickly, they were busy but our server kept the drinks full and checked in regularly. I MUST recommend the chile relleno, the sauce gave me a ratatouille moment where I flashed back into a long gone restaurant from my past, it was so amazing! read more

I had a early morning workout, and it was quite intense. I was looking for a hearty breakfast. I checked the yelp app and found the wake up café. It was only a few minutes away. It's a little tucked away in a shopping center, but it fit the bill perfectly. I ordered a California omelette with hash browns, and we toast. The service was quick and friendly. They have good coffee with constant refills. The service was great. It's a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a good meal. It looks like they're only open for breakfast and lunch. I just happen to be in the area and I googled waffles. They came up. I saw that they had four stars so I'd figured I'd give them a try anyways walked in. There was only one person in front of us. We got to sit quickly and were greeted promptly. We were looking at the menu and they have very very a large amount of options they have breakfast they have lunch. They have American basic food and then they have Mexican breakfast which is really good. The person that sat us down right away, took our order for drinks. We got our coffee and orange juice really quick then the server came and took our order and she did recommend a few things what I could or cannot do or what I could add or not. Add since I didn't want pancakes. I wanted a waffle, but anyways, I ended up ordering the meat lovers. I believe I got ham sausage, bacon. I got the country potatoes and then I got over the eggs and a side of pancakes. My son got the green Chilaquiles and I guess they have green and red so he had ordered half-and-half but when they brought them out, I guess he only got green, but he said it was pretty good. he did not complain, which was pretty great. He kept serving my coffee so my cup was never empty, but yeah, it was great service. I mean, the place was packed so you know if the place is packed the food must be good so when I got there was really busy but then I guess after we were done I think it's slowed down but other than that it's very welcoming. It's family friendly. I seen a whole family take up like three tables, which is pretty good you know but the food is really good. It's fresh and it's delicious and I do recommend coming here either for brunch breakfast you know it's delicious. And you can bring the whole to enjoy some family time together. read more

I came here because of the reviews. So I came in and the atmosphere was very pleasant and friendly. I sat down in less than 5 mins in a booth. The server came to my table promptly and ask how I was. I was provided with a menu and I decided to eat the chilaquiles Rojas with 2 sunny side eggs with a cafe de Olla. The food came promptly to my table. This did not disappoint. It was on the bit spicy side but it was so delicious. Highly recommend coming here. It does get busy. Will come again when I'm in town. read more

My go to here is their chorizo breakfast burrito. I'd come here more if I'd remember that it's here. Parking can be a challange for sure. But, the wait in my opinion is worth it. 5 stars for friendliness and 3 stars for food. Service was great, but if you don't get a booth to sit in, then you'll it's cafeteria style seating. All the tables are connected and you sit next to others. The food tasted fine, but it wasn't the greatest we've had, not in the top 20 of places. The eggs for the Benedict were hard boiled and not poached. We notified them of it too. Burnt hash browns. French toast was soaked in cinnamon, so each bite was just a mouthful of a cinnamon roll. I have been wanting to give this spot a try and finally made time to give them a visit. I went on a Saturday morning around 8 am and was quickly sat. The menu was filled with so many options but decided to go with the chicken fried steak and an iced coffee, my son got the Mickey Mouse pancake breakfast. The food was quickly brought out and was a delicious massive amount of breakfast! The food was hot, fresh and amazingly tasty!! The iced coffee was sweet and hit the spot. The wait staff was so sweet and friendly, overall watching them work together I got the vibe they worked like family and was a well ran team. The portions of yummy food combined with the fair prices I will be back again! They also currently have a cool summer program for dine in customers to get discounted meals. I found this place on Yelp and decided to try it today. I was hungry for a diner style breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised. We showed up around 930 and it wasn't too busy so we were seated right away. 10 minutes later the place was jampacked. The place has a very good menu with your standard diner, style, breakfast, appetizers, sandwiches, burritos and breakfast plates. They have chorizo and eggs, chile verde, enchiladas, and chile relleno. Today, they had a special appetizer that is not on the menu... chile verde fries and OMG they were bomb. The chile verde was tasty! I ordered a short stack of pancakes, which were very yummy very much how my grandmother would make them and a chorizo and egg burrito with country fried potatoes and cheese. The burrito was a good size and tasty. I thought the country potatoes were a bit bland and cut into big pieces that were firm (I prefer my tatoes on the soft side.) The coffee was okay so if you have a preference bring your own. :-) Overall, the place is clean, the seating is comfortable, and the staff are friendly and attentive. We definitely go back! I wonder if they will make us a chile verde fried burrito...hmm... Enjoy! Ps. Apparently they are known for their chilaquiles. I will try those next time. read more
