First you check in at the hostess booth in a small room where she does her spiel and fully explains the menu. Then she will lead you inside the restaurant to your seat. We sat in a private nook in the corner which accommodated our 8 people (which the staff was fine with us adding 2 more to our 6 person reservation initially). The entire place is so well decorated and if you look around there's tons of fun details and decor. The menu is made up of a map and they provide everyone with their own personal flashlight to see it. When you order certain drinks, it triggers various special effects. At times, it felt like an adult rainforest cafe with changing sounds and lights. Our server went above and beyond to make our experience great, going all out with his special effects and overall sassiness. You get a two hour allotment and our server did a great job of updating us of how much time we had left. We will definitely be back!

We did have to wait for just a minute because they were at changeover for servers and many of the night servers were just coming on.. We started with the lump crab hush puppies. They come as an order of four and they literally just kind of pop in your mouth. They are so good. We would definitely come back just to have those. My husband got the Cajun steak, but he got everything that comes on the steak on the side, including the seasoning. He wasn't sure how spicy the seasoning was or what the sauce was and he likes to be able to control that himself. Steak was good. He did have a little bit of the season and said next time he definitely order it with the seasoning on as the seasoning wasn't that spicy. He also got a side of the au gratin potatoes and the collard greens. The collards were not the best. They definitely need some more flavor. He added hot sauce to it and it helped it but they definitely need some additional seasoning. The potatoes were good although as you got to the bottom, they definitely were not cooked all the way through. They could've been cooked a little bit longer. I got the chicken and waffle - it comes with four pieces of chicken and a half waffle. The waffle is really delicious. It's got a little crunch on the outside but a little sweetness in it and the chicken was absolutely amazing. I would definitely get the fried chicken again there is a reason they are famous for it. Our server, Ariana was incredibly sweet and very attentive to us throughout the night. Great service like that would also have us come back to this location again in the future.

For them to have Cajun/soul food...it was extremely bland. Truffle deviled eggs were bland, Mac and cheese had taste but just wasn't a fan, and the fried chicken had no taste. I was there with 3 other people and they weren't thrilled about their food either, it was a shame. The food was also not consistent. 2 ppl overweight Mac and cheese, one came out with breadcrumbs the other didn't, 2 ppl ordered oysters-1 order was good the other was clearly burnt. The area that this restaurant is in has many quality restaurants with great tasting food, I'd go elsewhere with my money.

Cigarette vibes are not really my style, I'm not sure if perhaps adding an exhaust would help even though it's outside? It isn't quite a place I would frequent but if you don't mind that then you're likely to thoroughly enjoy. Be sure to check on their schedule and try a trivia night!

Not in competition for best burger in Orlando or anything, but the flavors were on point, and bun was nice and soft, and the furikake dusted crinkle cut fries were the perfect side item. If you are not wanting to dine at the resort, you can take a bus or monorail from Magic Kingdom. It has been a while since I did a review and we have been here quite a few times over the last year. I felt it was time to update. I have a love hate with this place, I used to love it, then we had some negative experiences however, the last few visits have been great. They now open early at 11am which is really great as it gets so busy! We love to stop here when doing a monorail crawl but also recently took my mom and dad here. You need to add your name to the list and your wait can be different all the time. It really depends on how many names are on the list. I will say that larger groups tend to wait much longer. If you are a smaller group such as 2, and are seated at a table for 4, just know that they will seat you with others. MY biggest issue with this place is I believe it should have a time limit. It is incredibly small inside and we have waited over 3 hours to go in. I just feel if Beak and Barrell at Magic and Oga's at Studios has a time limit, they need one here. Maybe bump it to 60 minutes. The problem comes with that there is so much to see and interactions happening with drinks being ordered that you could literally sit in there for hours and order 1 drink. We have had many drinks on the menu including wine and beer. I am not in love with all their drinks, they are very rum heavy and can be very sweet and full of juice, however there are some good ones. I have also tried just wine which is also fine. My husband frequently orders the beer flight which includes 3 different types of Kona beer. Some of my favorite cocktails are the Rosita's Margarita, which is Casamigos reposado tequila, bols orange curacao liqueur, fresh lime juice, falernum and organic agave nectar. It is really good but can be sour if not made correct. Don't be afraid if that happens to ask them to add a little extra sweetener. I also enjoy the Mosquito Mojito which has Bacardi Dragonberry Rum, Organic Agave Nectar, Falernum, Mint, and Fresh Lime Juice topped with Soda Water. It is a classic mojito but can also end up being sour. I usually ask for a little extra nectar. They also serve food. We love the food here and they have actually updated their menu recently. Our favorite item is the Thai Chicken Flatbread with bacon and peanut sauce which is delicious and the Pan-Fried Dumplings. They have a new Shrimp and Plantain Roll which looks great and we will be trying it next time. Some of their drinks come with an interactive experience including the Uh-Oa, the Nautilus, the Hippopoto Mai-Tai and the Krakatoa Punch. And anyone who orders it, gets to sort of take part in the interactive experience. The whole lounge has effects. Would I recommend this yes. I am torn if this is a 4 or a 3. The wait is ridiculous at times, but it is really fun. I prefer the table seats as opposed to the bar or high tops personally and you cannot really ask to sit somewhere. I do think this needs to be expanded. Outside they have a different version or Trader Sam's, same menu no interactivities. They need to take that over and make this lounge much much larger. I would say check it out if you can get it or dont mind waiting. Put your name on the list and go to a different bar and wait!
