Home Depot patio furniture - dirty and deflated cushions

Deceptive representation! Nothing like the photos or description online! The first room was musty, peeling paint, a slanted dirty tub, the bathroom so small you have to lean on the sink to close the door to skim past the toilet to get into the tub! The A/C wasn't working and the 'triangular "balcony" was so small not even a chair on it - NO views This was CHRISTMAS DAY when we arrived with a 3 year old and TWO days of flying! Gave us another room real quick before we tried to go to our CHRISTMAS dinner reservations and said we could change rooms after- that seemed better but wasn't! This room had crusted pee stains on the toilet seat connections, hole in bathroom the ceiling, dirty carpet &.A/C struggling to work. We were so exhausted we went to bed at 8:30 pm The next day we went to the "pool". It' literally looks like they shoved something in an alleyway between two buildings -No sun, no lounge chairs, just some Home Depot dirty flat cushioned outdoor furniture pathetically sad. BEYOND DISSAPOINTING‼ Thoune.

Nice full curtain in our second room 402

Hate to write this review had the worst experience staying here. At first we were very happy facilities looks nice and clean then we got to our room (we stayed in the older section of hotel) right when we open the door it was humid inside the room and had a weird smell. The room is outdated but decent but at night time the sound of something in the wall kept us awake at night at first we thought it was the mini split so we dealt with it. We then there turned off the air conditioner off at night and we still heard a sound that we believe was an animal there (see video to hear the sound). I called the front desk to let them know about the sound so they moved us two floors (202 to 403) up even though we were staying only one more night this was a mistake I woke up covered in bites see pics. The parking is another story $210 to park in the worst parking garage. I hate to say that I cannot recommend this hotel the one good thing is the location.

Room was very comfortable - the bedding was very comfortable. Yes, they should fix the wallpaper, but, . . . .

We stayed at the Waikiki Malia Hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday, my wife and I, with our daughter and her family (husband and two granddaughters) and I thought the hotel was FABULOUS, and especially for the price!! The hotel is less than 3-blocks from Waikiki Beach, accessed at multiple points of entry including the Sheraton Waikiki Resort where our other daughter, son and grandson stayed. Yes, the restaurant does not have a hotel restaurant per se, but literally just outside the hotel, within a 5-10 minute walk, you have so many options to eat, shop, eat, shop, eat shop, . . . . . attend a luau, go to Mass, eat, shop, eat shop, etc. Also, there are probably ~10 ABC stores in that same distance where you can buy anything!! And there is a Target, YES, a Target in the same walking distance!! The hotel does NOT have a fabulous pool, it's no larger than most hot tubs, but you can be at the beach ~10 minutes and the hotel will give you beach towels. The bathrooms are a little small, as well as closet space, but the dresser is HUGE. The patios are small without chairs to sit outside, but, okay - the views are great!! The staff were absolutely wonderful, helpful and attentive. I would definitely return to this hotel because I'd rather spend less on a hotel room and use it for great eating and shopping and time at the beach!!

Waikiki Malia is a five minute walk away from the beach. The room itself is average, the decor--dated. The restroom is on the small size, especially the shower. If you are on the bigger side whether horizontally or vertically then you may find it uncomfortable. They do have a decent size hot tub but a dinky size pool. If you're over six feet tall you can probably get a few strokes in before hitting the wall. A laundry room is on site as well as a small fitness area, and across the street are several places to eat (not too fancy). What stood out to me at this hotel was the excellent service. All staff members were friendly and welcomed you every time they saw you with a warm smile. It made me feel like I was staying at an aunt or uncle's house. For this reason, I'm giving it 4 stars; otherwise it would've been a 3.

First off the place is filthy!! It smells bad, and the staff was super unhelpful except for Robbie. I have never ever heard of a hotel that doesn't offer cleaning services daily, especially when it's already filthy. So glad I remembered the Clorox spray. Do not ever come to this hotel!!!

    Your ocean view
    Sushiplease ..

The biggest problem with this place is that they don't tell you that there's an extra fee every night you spend there. We were given a trip by my son, and when we checked in they charged us an extra $300 for some kind of hidden fees. I thought that was awful. So expect it! Next, they say they have ocean views. You're gonna need binoculars. Everything is built up all the way around this hotel. my son paid for us to stay on the top floor and I'll add a picture. Do not pay extra for ocean view!! They also have mandatory maid service. I didn't like that. I like to put everything in my room I know that no one's going into my room until after leave. There is no cutting out breakfast, just coffee. The concierge needs to be replaced or trained. We asked him several different questions on different days and he knew absolutely nothing! He didn't even know about the night market that happens every single Monday, Just down the street. The positives are there was a refrigerator in the room that we did not discover until the last day we were there. It's in the dresser. I never use those dressers and never thought that it would be hidden like that. They do have a hairdryer in the closet. The beds are super comfortable, very firm. Room was pretty clean. There was dust behind the toilet seat between it and a tank. The staff was incredibly nice. Every single one of them. The location is perfect, just around the corner to get on the trolley. There's a 24 hour IHOP two doors down. There is no shuttle service from The airport but the W line is three dollars a person and stopped right outside the hotel.

Me and my Ohana been coming here every once a year for the past 5 years and we love it here..we always get the 1 Bedroom Studio 1 Queen 2 Twin Beds which is a separate area and separated elevator from the regular rooms..our room comes with it's own kitchen with mini stove (depending on what floor..some don't comes with the stove) ..sink..mini fridge..iron with iron board..coffee with coffee machine..plates..forks..spoons and pans to cook..and personal microwave (other guest over at the other area of the hotel share microwave at a different part of the hotel) just like what other reviewers stated it's a bit old fashion with decor but you're in Hawaii..go out and explore the outside don't be stuck In the room..we never stayed at the reg rooms but I heard it's nice and more updated There is a lot of food places like restaurants.. food trucks and a lot of hole in the wall places to eat at..tattoo salons...massage places and place to do your nails..bar downstairs and around the corner and IHop that's connected to the hotel ..all walking distance.. We never had any bug issues..no smell issues..yeah the streets is a bit noisy with drunks..fights and cop cars but we locals and we're just used to the noise..room is and always had been clean when we arrive. Staff is always amazing..smiling..always greeting.. very friendly..always asking if we need help..just plain friendly..don't be afraid to talk to them..ask questions to where and what you're looking for..they know places.. My boys love the pool area..comes with a decent size pool that goes up to 4 ft deep and a jacuzzi that will fit about 10 people inside..and a seating area that you can drink while the whole family swim.. Other than that coffee is provided to guest every morning in the lobby and events posted in the elevator during your stay

    Thx for the stay, Malia!

How much is the hotel fees? And is it optional?

I think it's $22 a night and not optional. The local special waives it.

Does anyone know if there is a cheaper parking lot or better parking nearby the hotel?

It is the cheapest overnight parking I have found around. If you are looking for short term, you may find a meter on a side street or try the lot behind Aqua Oasis. It looks sketchy to me though, too hidden and dirty.…

Now we are upper tier…read moreMarriott members, we have left our Hilton days behind and checking out the Marriott products in Oahu. As this hotel is known from its historical presence, we have decided to stay here for our first time at Waikiki Beach. This hotel is centrally located in Waikiki beach. When you step out your door front, aka the lobby, you are in the midst of all the action. As this hotel is so centrally located it is popular for guest and visitors who come to visit the history of this hotel. We were visiting during the shoulder season, so we expected the hotel to be quiet. Some hotel management quote that hotels are only 30 percent full during late September. This hotel seemed busy and perhaps its due to the tight quarters. Given this hotel is centered around a tree, the bar and eatery space is tight--The mass amount of people in a tight space can seem unrelaxing to some. Upon checking in, we were also questioning ourselves, if we were really there during the shoulder season as there was a line at 2pm. And the Bonvoy line was the longest. As that line seemed long, we decided we better split up and stand in two lines. Despite the line being long, it went quickly. We appreciated that! And for Japanese guest there is a special line- Hawaii gets a lot of guests from HI. Our room was not ready yet, so we saddle up at the bar. We grabbed a drink, and before too long our room was ready. We left our luggage with the bell boy, and he brought it up when ready. We identify our room as ready by the app, before we got the phone call. We were informed that we had a nice suite waiting for us- We waited patiently for the elevators- lines can develop at the tower elevators. Once we got into the elevator- we were hot- I am not sure if the elevators have AC-- or if it was due to the number of people smooshed into the elevator. Our room was on the 20th floor at the end-- And it was a treat! Our suite had two balconies-- one that looked like it hung over the ocean and the other facing the Diamond head and the city. The room also has a mini bar with a fridge and microwave, a dining room table, a living room, a bedroom with a super comfy bed-- westin style, and a bathroom. The room was very modern. The historical charm of the centered part of the hotel does not carry over to the suites. The room was great due to the amazing views and balconies. I would select this room again for the views alone. The disappointment was the bathroom- the room features a bathroom that seemed slightly outdated. The bathroom only had a small shower and no bathtub. As for outside space- The beach in front of this hotel is not very big. This is partially due to storms. If you are looking for a beach with more depth from the hotel to the ocean- you may want to go to the Hawaiian village. The water is a bit rougher here too- good for surfing-- also it was storm season. As for the pool- skip the pool and go into the beautiful clear ocean. The pool is a joke-- it is so small. If you look at other hotel along the ocean, you will see most hotels are very small. The other sad thing is the lack of lounge chairs- there are minimal number of chairs for guest- and guest save them early. The chairs on the beach are for rent-- I think the hotel should provide more lounge chairs- but again space is lacking around this hotel. As for food- as Marriott ambassadors we were provide two breakfast meals per a day at the main restaurant or cafe. This first day we went to the restaurant and offered a choice of three continental breakfast items- the offer was sad as the food was horrible. Does this represent their lunch and dinner menu? To upgrade to the buffet- it was 32 dollars extra. The hotel's breakfast buffet is about 55 dollars- yikes! Not worth it. Service was great. The cafe, take away, was a better option- where we could spend a total of 40 dollars- breakfast sandwiches are on the menu. As you are at the beach- there is a lot of noise around the hotel- you hear music at this hotel plus all the hotel along the beach- so just be prepared for this- join in or bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Also, this hotel charges a resort fee that is over 50 dollars- the resort fee includes programs, towels, gym, etc. When checking in, the amenities were not really shared with us. We were not even told where the gym was. So I am not sure if they have a good gym for those who like to work out. Lastly, the staff at the hotel is wonderful!! A big shout out to the housekeepers who were always friendly and did a great job. And to the staff in the lobby who always helped me find my way around the hotel- to the point of almost taking me to my destination. So was it worth the price? Depends on what you see value in?!

It is so beautiful love everything about it. Specially the rocking chairs in the front .we're at the pool every day. I wish I could get them at 4 1/2 star, but it's not able to. The location is fantastic is right on the water. If you wanna swim don't swim in that part of the beach go farther when you're looking at the ocean to the left of it because in front of this hotel, there's a lot of rocks that can hurt your feet. The beach restaurant is unbelievable specially if you wanna order food while you're sitting at the pool, everything was incredible. I had the Caesar salad the burger. The pokey was all incredible. I will definitely be back. You're almost a five star.

We waited 50 minutes for an elevator, and that only happened when someone finally alerted the staff and someone manually directed the elevator to each floor one by one. Total disaster. * we moved to the Rainbow Tower for our last night. Beautiful view of the beach. However, you have to wait in line at the front desk to get wristbands and towel cards for the pool, then go to another line to get towels, turn the towels back in to get the cards back or you get charged for the towels. And there's no consistency: one person would give us 2 towels per card, but when I returned them a different employee would give us back 1 card per towel. * even though the rainbow tower has 5 elevators and they are 'smart' elevators that go to specific floors we had to wait 15 minutes on check out day to get an elevator that wasn't full. Bottom line: their elevator situation is questionable and probably dangerous. If you stay here, be prepared to test your patience and wait in lines A LOT.

We also ate one meal poolside since we were trying to relax there one afternoon. We ordered a cheeseburger deluxe with fries. The burger came with about a 3 oz patty, and the fries were as hard as a rock. For the $24 we paid, we probably got a $6 fast food combo meal. We also ordered a Caesar salad - that was a single romaine heart, split lengthwise, with 4 small shavings of Parmesan cheese and a tablespoon of bottled Caesar dressing; $24 too! Soft drinks were $8 each. I know hotel resort poolside food is expensive but I did expect something a little better. The best thing is the valet parking service; very fast and efficient since they always have about 6 valets working all the time. A lovely woman at the pool with very long hair and a gentleman who plays in a band were also fantastic--he consistently helped us set up cabanas so I could stay out of the direct sun. Unfortunately, two major issues significantly impacted our stay: * Unprofessional Pool Management: The pool manager (who did not wear a nametag) was surprisingly rude. After another attendant helped us secure a shaded cabana the day prior to ensure I had sun protection while watching my son play, the manager confronted me about "saving" cabanas. Considering the hotel was not full, the aggressive tone taken with a heavily pregnant guest was completely unwarranted and unlike anything I've experienced at a property of this tier. * Misleading Beachfront Experience: The hotel advertises itself as a beachfront resort, but the accessible beach area is extremely minimal with choppy water. Between the lack of loungers or shade and the large Mai Tai catamarans constantly docking right next door, swimming isn't practical, nor is relaxing on the sand if you need sun relief. We truly wanted to love our stay, but given the premium price point, the combination of poor beach access and an unnecessarily hostile interaction at the pool left us thoroughly disappointed.

The stay was because we didn't have electricity after hurricane Lala. It was such an amazing stay what started as 3 days/2 nights extended to 6 days! We were greeted at the valet $55 a night. Service is great- they had our vehicle ready at 6am for work. There is no self parking. However they are very efficient! The lobby is on the 7th floor- so helpful - Ayumi helped to extend our stay. We met her at check in also. All the staff are pretty helpful and nice. The rooms are so comfortable and the kitchenette is not the normal "kitchenette". The stove has 2 hot plates- no oven. A microwave. The dishware and cutlery. Subzero mini fridge & freezer. Breville toaster & blender. Zoriushi rice pot. Nespresso make and pods. The knives are German made Zwilling. Impressive. The sofa bed was comfortable - the mattress was like a memory foam type?! Or it felt like it. The gym has dumbbells up to 75#, yoga mats, medicine balls, kettlebell, cardio machines- bike- treadmill- elliptical and even a peleton too, they have circuit training cables and machines. Even filtered water, cold towels, fruits and towels to use. The infinity pool and hot tub were a joy. They offer towel service, lounge chairs, drink service, and complementary smoothie and ice cream with toppings (caramel, chocolate, and sprinkles) The business center or library has computers (good speed too), phone charger, printer and couch with additional chairs. There were 2 newspapers on the table the other day. Convenient. The restaurants: Bloom for breakfast and Kini Room. They also have a bar at the lobby. And a lil coffee shop. An ABC store is a block away- huge

TRANQUILITY! 4.8…read more We stayed here during the first half of our most recent trip to the island, mainly to compare it with another property/residence that we really like and wanted to make a direct comparison. We also used our American Express Platinum Hotel Credit benefit, and it was great that this hotel qualified for it. Ka Laʻi is one block from the beach, backing up to Fort DeRussy Park, a military reservation, and is surrounded by many shops and restaurants, especially along Luxury Row, which is a non-negotiable visit for us. There is so much aloha felt here, with the staff always greeting us with genuine smiles and a willingness to help. The hotel is quiet and soothing, perfect for a relaxing stay. We checked in seamlessly and were provided with cold, refreshing water upon our arrival. Our room was spacious and felt very cozy, with beige carpet and tile flooring, brown furniture, and dark cabinetry in the kitchen. In the seating area, there was a large full-size sofa, an upholstered side chair, and a coffee table. The long dresser and closet provided plenty of storage. A lovely welcome treat was left in our room: two Ka Laʻi reusable water bottles, Hawaiian semi-sweet chocolate, and Beach Brittle. These items were a very nice touch. If you feel inclined to enjoy more Beach Brittle, you can purchase it downstairs in the small shop next to the spa. The bathroom had a double-sink vanity with plenty of counter space, which is a must for me, a large soaking tub, and a wet shower area. It was a generously sized bathroom with plenty of room to move around. Our stay included a wonderful breakfast buffet at Inyō. There was an omelet station with a chef preparing made-to-order omelets, along with a variety of beautiful fresh fruit, hot and cold breakfast items, rice, and Asian-inspired bites. The infinity pool is located near the restaurant, Inyō. It's tiled in a beautiful blue that adds a nice contrast to the tan backdrop of the neighboring high-rise buildings. The pool is long and narrow, accented by a series of raised, tiled planter islands that provide a bit of privacy between guests. We were too busy to swim or enjoy the other amenities, but just walking around the grounds was incredibly relaxing. It's a very peaceful place to stay, unlike many of the larger hotel brands. The standout at this hotel was definitely the service. The staff always made eye contact, greeted us warmly, and either asked about or anticipated our needs. This is a hotel that is definitely worth returning to.

Thank you so much Joey 10 out of 10 stars you really made my trip so great. Charleston also went above and beyond as well. He really made the finale of my stay so amazing. The buttons for the elevator were a crapshoot and might work, or they might not. And the elevator carpets were disgusting. The room: absolutely disappointing other than the semi-ocean view. The bathroom was literally a closet separated from the room by a semi-wall made of slats. The sink was tiny, and there is no counter. And this was NOT a single occupancy room. The beds were nothing special. Not horrible, but not great either; more like what I'd expect from a motel, not a supposed 4-star hotel. No comforters were provided, which could be related to the lack of adequate AC that I heard multiple guests complaining about. And finally, the internet connection for the TV was pathetic. It took ages to load a simple streaming app. And when I looked for an outlet to charge my phone, the cheap plastic port I found was melted and inoperable.
